I've talked to customer service dozens of times over the years to connect or disconnect water to various properties that the company I work for owns. I have always found CS to be friendly and helpful.
Water rates are high and beyond that they charge service fee if you opt auto-payment using credit card. Never seen that with other utility service providers....
Because of $154 they shut off my residential water yesterday at 2 pm. We paid their balance and waited for the water to comment back on that day and it never did.
It s now the following day and we still have no water.
I m disgusted with this company and the fact they can bully people and take away water from our home over 150 bucks!

Portland Water district has terrible customer service and I find them to have bad leadership at the wastewater level. They continue to have terrible sewage spills in the ocean of Casco Bay.

Their customer service is terrible. They used to be pretty good. It seems like there's been a change in staff, resulting in a dramatic downward decline. The managemenr staff are now petty and unprofessional.
