Joy Z in senior housing was one of the rudest to my mother and me. No matter what we said she would talk over our conversation like we were stupid. She is very unprofessional and I'm glad I don't have to deal with her anymore. Nursing care on the weekend is horrible they hire in agency nursing. one that was in charge of my mother's care was Sheryl all she did was tell me excuses and blame the care givers for her lazyness. Over all the faculty is lacking in accountability from the doctors to the nurses. The mt's and the care givers are really good. My only suggestion is you need to watch this place if you don't keep them accountable they will walk all over you. If I could have given them a 0 for star's I would have.

I work for Elders' Helpers and we have been working with Porter Hills for quite a few years now. I recently had to meet with one of our caregivers that also works for Porter Hills at the Village. I was so pleased to see that all the seniors that I saw were wearing masks and socially distancing, all while enjoying the beautiful campus and each other's company. I have to visit many senior communities during this COVID time and Porter Hills is by far the safest and most beautiful community I have seen. We look forward to many more years working with such a great company. Great Job Porter Hills!!!

Went here to visit a friend of the family and got lost. Lora from birch was super helpful and super sweet. If I had a parent or loved one who needed care like this I would choose Porter Hills.

I know people who work here who love it. My experience did not match that. There was no management in place for the hall I worked in. Staff did whatever they wanted. I often had to provide care for 9-15 residents on my own on a shift...which is a lot of ask of anyone. The residents aren't taken care of the way they should be...at least to my standards. If you want to work in a place that doesn't give quality care, staff doesn't follow through, there's no thorough training, and has poor (or no) management, go for it. It was not the place for me and I would never send a loved one to be cared for there.

Filed complaint with BCHS. Had a family member moved there due to all great reviews.
However once our family member got there, nothing but issues. Nurses, doctors case manager never returning calls after stating can't get ahold of resident. Now family member on melatonin to help them sleep. Yet won't put her in her bed, makes them sleep in the chair. They now have bed sores from them not making her move, has a utility for them not helping her with her hygiene. Calling 3 times a day and when finally got to speak with family member they were sluring words, not coherent at all. Complete abuse! Don't let your loved ones stay here!!

Not at all a good experience for my relative. Medication reaction went unnoticed for several days. Several phone calls and emails left for nursing. Finally got a doctor to call 3 days later. Being a RN myself, I was not at all impressed or comforted by the care my relative received

wonderful company and place to work for. The companies mission is carried out at every level. I recommend to my family and friends.

Lack of supervision over the staff and mistreatment of the staff they did have. If you have a loved one, do an extensive research of the facilities you place them in.
