I am currently employed with this company and so far everything has been very nice and easy. Portco allows for mentally disabled people to get employment and I just find that incredibly impressive during times like these. My.managers and bosses have been very upfront, honest and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better job. And from what I can see we always do a bang up job for our clients!
I applied for a position and was offered the job. I declined the position. Apparently, this Company told the Virginia Employment Comossion that I was fired. That's false. This needs to be corrected instead of telling lies.
The WORST company I have ever been involved with. I was with Portco for nearly two years. I joined Portco because I was told I could advance as a project manager. After taking on multiple contracts, and holding three job positions within the company I was not compensated once. I was guaranteed a raise for taking on the grounds crew (landscaping). After four months of running this division of the company I asked about my raise. I was then told that they could not give me the raise that was promised. I was a salary employee, (was not told I would be salary when hired, initially was hourly) while being salary I was forced to work 50-60 hour weeks. I explained my frustrations with working these long hours with no compensations. While working these hours I had my first child, when my child was born I took off one week of work to experience this new way of life. When I returned to work I was greeted with a negative response from the company, saying I took too much time off and how I hurt the progression of the company.
Portco did nothing but take advantage of my hard work and dedication. I did everything I could for them. On December 18th (exactly one week before my child s first Christmas) I was fired at a local 7-11 gas station. I was fired at 7pm, asked to come out after my work day was over and waited for over two hours to talk about the site . Little did I know, I was once again being lied to. I didn t know why I was being blindsided and asked, why is this happening. I was not given a reason.
I would not recommend anyone to work with this company let alone give them my business, they took advantage of me and my family. Very disappointing.
They refuse to hire if you have had a record even if the record is more than 25 years old - you have your citzenship restored & an haven't had any problems with the law. It is against the law
