One of the unusual places where I was. Fakes, the original will sell you everything saying it is antiques. Always bargain! The things they trade in are things found in the fuss or there is such a service when they come home to you and take all the trash for free. Usually this service is used by children who have remained flat or at home after their parents. And they do not have time to disassemble everything. Now back to the market. Many tourists hold bags or backpacks in front of you. The things and shoes you buy there are sure they are of poor quality. For this money you can buy in the store at discounts. The place is shorter to visit. At 14.00 start to close. And good luck finding something of value!

It is Sunday morning the market has already woken up, under license are ............. historic Roman market, where you could find everything. From the dress for mum to the shoes of the child .... From the antique to the classic ancient Rome stain. ...... And then the usual "cat and fox" with the game of three cards.
Today, unfortunately, he has lost some of its charm ..... contaminated with more commercial wares.
But still the stalls of various books, letters, magazines, antiques, antiques still resist, where you can browse and maybe find a little treasure.

The part of the clothes has the same characteristics as any local market. Trinkets and antiques area with few sellers compared to the past (Poor quality on offer and somewhat exaggerated prices); all ready to pluck tourists

Only on Sundays can you visit this great market. You will find everything. From used clothing to motorcycle helmets and more. As always you have to haggle unless the price is very comfortable and there is no discount. Always attentive and especially with your wallet. It is a world of people. You have to go early.

This place is a real discovery if you are willing to hunt through the 3 kilometre or so vendors. There are hidden treasures amid the continuum of the usual market stuff. I managed to locate 3 fantastic classic Italian made leather bags total cost less than 80. I found genuine Timberland shoes in my size, perfect condition 3.
I was warned by others to keep a tight grip on your money as there are people that will quickly steal. I had no issues as I am always cautious in this regard and never carry a wallet to these places.
This place is well worth the visit. We have been back 3 times and have picked up bargains each time.

Historical place to visit if you come to Rome. It places nothing exceptional in a busy area if you plan to visit a place where you can spend a lot of time. All in all beautiful. It is interesting to go there on Sunday to visit the famous Roman market of Porta Portese

I was very disappointed with this place. If you're expecting a bustling flea market that has the same goods as London's Portobello or the Paris Marche aux Puces don't bother to make the trek here on a Sunday morning.
The place appeals more to average Italians shopping for household goods and imported clothes. The only interesting stalls I found were two! One sold vintage magazines from the Il Boom years (50s Italy of the Dolce Vita vibe) and the other was a silver dealer midway along the 3km trek.
The stalls repeat themselves after a while and the place is really a slice of Italian suburbia. Not much touristic appeal!

Historical Sunday market in the capital where you can find everything. By now a few schools of junkie, but there is no shortage of old bike shops, spare parts and camping, always open.
Traditional atmosphere.

Excellent during the week to buy spare parts for motorcycles, bicycles or car stereo systems. Historic gathering of stalls on Sundays with the famous Portaportese market where you can really find everything: in the main street there are new objects, while in the side streets and more hidden there are used objects. OUR WALLETS and precious objects, the market is full of thieves ready to lighten up any pocket !!!

Large Sunday morning market where you can find everything. A little poor quality for a lot of dubiously manufactured goods but also counters with sample items. A glimpse of Rome absolutely to see

Historical Sunday market in Rome and in particular in Trastevere where you can find a bit of everything, new and used, clothing and clothing, furniture and work tools, etc. etc. To turn slowly between the stalls in search of good opportunities, being careful of any cheats !!!

Let's say that a week is a no a ride in Porta Portese, we always run away .... let's say it is no longer a flea or antiques market and looks more and more like the classic neighborhood market, but something to take home I always find it. Bart's vintage glasses and interesting items from Franco's counter and going up to Piazza Ippolito Nievo we still find antiques, vintage and the most interesting benches. On the square, on the other hand, a mix of furniture and clothing comes down to the Atac store, for vinyl enthusiasts the great Pavel awaits with its goodies.

It was a beautiful Roman discovery. Porta Portese is a market (infinite labyrinth though) where everything is sold (antiques, new and second-hand clothes, DIY materials, fabrics, used books, unique pieces, ...). For fans of little curiosities, it would be a great way to get lost and have a fun Sunday.
