Beautiful estate. Like being in a BBC history drama.
The beautiful home of the unbeatable Port Eliot Festival.
Self catering good if you sort it out great place x
Wonderful house full of spectacular paintings. However furnishings upkeep of interior in very poor condition. Obviously the owners have not concerned themselves with maintenance for the last 50 years at least. Very sad
Had a great time here at the festival. Fantastic venue in a great location.
I was hee on a charity dog show day ...ehat a fantastic estate ...stunning setting as a wedding venue ....not normally open to pubkic so if yiu see an open day or event ....dont miss it ...vrry dog friendly ...
Beautiful grounds went to the carboot there they had on today very poor. But the grounds are refreshing!
Love, love, love Port Eliot. It's an unspoilt jewel in Cornwall's crown
Attended Port Eliot Festival - one of my summer highlights - stunning location, superb acts and well organised. :-),
Although set in nice surroundings, there isn't really anywhere to sit or enjoy the views
We went here for a car boot sale, Beautiful and the Lord and lady were really welcoming as they walked around us all but the gardens well so so relaxing
Possibly the last Port Eliot Festival? I hope not as the house and grounds provide a magical backdrop to a few days of complete escapism.
This was the last Port Eliot Festival for the foreseeable future. However, it was a wonderful weekend with an enormous variety of different events. The estate is beautiful and the grounds are diverse and well kept. (I'd be interested to know if the estuary mud has ever been tested though!)
We only visited the church at St Germans. Stunning church and very chatty vicar type person.
The most magical place on the planet !!!! My husband and I just had the most amazing fairy tale of a day celebrating our wedding at Port Eliot.. I am still in awe of everything on our wedding day... Port Eliot has a true uniqueness thats indescribable. I was pinching myself the whole time in our marquee w the gorgeous outdoor backdrop of the port eliot grounds !!! A special thank you to Lucy ... the best of the best and a true pleasure to work with and celebrate with !!!!! We can't thank you enough for being you and your hospitality throughout our wedding planning process.. thank you to everyone at port eliot !!!!! you truly made our wedding day a day no-one will ever forget !!!!!
Mr and Mrs Fox <3
Wonderful hidden beauty we had a lovely day here and the stewards were full of great information about the house and history would definitely recommend
brilliant chilled out evening.in beautiful setting.
One of the best festival grounds that I have been to, the grounds are stunning and having the back drop of the aquiduct at sunset is breathtaking. Shame 2019 will be the last festival, hope that they put something on in its place.
Stunning. Open next season, water damage. Still a lovely place to visit.
What an absolute honour to be allowed to look around this wonderful, quirky Regency home of Lord St German and his lovely Team of helpful volunteers.
The portraits by famous painters are out of this world for"Georgian freaks"like myself and the famous mind blowing Lenkiewicz has to be seen!
Lovely gardens, scrummy cakes and afternoon tea.
Many thanks to all.
Not so much to do here, to be honest. The Castle is private property and it's prohibited to enter it's area. Bridge is the only building that worth viewing.
What an amazing place..beautiful trees and gardens. Stunning architecture and friendly owners. A fabulous location for a wedding
I haven't been before, but if it really is the ancestral seat of my family then I should make a trip.
Great festival, spend time in the black cow, saw some of the best stuff there
Attended Port Eliot Festival 2018 as a voluntary first aid member of Devon EMS/Ambfas for the third year running and it's always a wonderful event. Many personalities from many walks of life, lots of entertainment and so much delicious food to choose from (even caters for gluten free - I'm coeliac and it was yummy!!) The staff and vendors on the site are helpful and lovely, and the state itself is beautiful and clearly well managed and maintained. Always look forward to next time before the events even over.
Friendly informative guides told us the interesting history of this, once monastery , estate. It is situated in a beautiful valley and furnished with antique furniture and an eclectic art collection. The cake, tea and coffee were DELICIOUS.
Beautiful, elegant, magical house & gardens. The sunrise over the river with the viaduct in the background is stunning & the festival? Well, there's bothing like it; you have to see for yourself...
Very peaceful and pleasant place. Beautiful views, forest and river.
Went for the whippet tea party so saw the grounds and the outside of the house. Absolutely stunning
Magical Festival dampened this year with the rain!!
This place has the fabulous Port Eliot Festival every July. Lovely gardens too
Home sweet home made to feel a welcome guest Basement servant quarter's worth a visit alone. Lovely garden's for picnicking.
Beautiful place, lovely festival. Pity it was the last
Only went for the fireworks so can't judge the house or grounds
Had a blast, beautful scenery and everything just on point
Beautiful cornish countryside. Dog lovers always get extra bonus points. Roos Tea Party was a blast.
