Located in the east of the city. It is now third largest port in West Africa. One of the largest deep water seaport along the West African coast. Includes tanker loading unloading as well as container and bulk carriers.

The freshness of the wind, the boats, the trucks as well as the men, all contribute to a good harbor environment.

Difficult to access without an entry badge, very little frequented by the fairer sex on the side of the north and south areas, however, women frequent at the fishing Suai because of the fishmongers

The Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD) is a Senegalese public company headquartered in Dakar.
Thanks to the strategic position that gives it a sheltered harbor, it is today the third port of the sub-region after the Port of Abidjan and the Port of Lagos and ranks ninth on the continent [1] .
