Great pizzas, great prices, cold beer for March madness .. can t be beat
The pizza was the best I've had so far. The service was fast and friendly. It was a bit out of my price range, but I will be going there again every now and them when I want great quality pizza and service.
Pizza is always good and you can get unlimited salad always a good place to eat. They also have lunch and happy hour deals. The bar area is really nice and you can relax have a drink and and watch a few sporting events
Great little pizza place. Very enjoyable atmosphere.
I understand the concept of trying to close up on a Saturday night, but did you guys forget to cook my pizza? Inedible dough is not something I prefer to spend my money on. The half can of pineapple juice you left on top probably didn t help. Won t be returning, which is a shame considering I ve been a patron 20+ years.
The bathrooms are so messy an unsanitary my goodness.
Great place to go. The food is tasty. Everyone is helpful and makes the dining out experience a happy one.
Mediocre salad bar with near empty lettuce & spinach bins. Baked sandwiches were "just ok". Waitress was friendly and attentive (she's why the 2 star rating bumped to 3.)
Restrooms need a good cleaning.
Service was great food was great and I really did love their salads the waitress was unbelievable helpful that's why we come once a week and make sure you ask for some bread at the door when you're leaving
The new location is fantastic! Great beer selection to go along with the fantastic pizza!
Super expensive!!! A large pizza which looked like a medium was $27 for take out. It tastes good but a large at the Dominos across the street is $8. Ridiculous!!
Pizza is overpriced and dripping oil. $7 fries is just a small bowl. $7 garlic bread serves one. $6 mac and cheese is Kraft.
Thank you for your response. To be clear, the food didn't suck. It wasn't good but it didn't suck. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. As far as where I get the prices from, menu price is a misrepresentation of how much the food actually cost. After taxes and tips a $50 meal costs $75 out of the door. So yes, your menu price does not reflect how much you actually pay.
It should be mad clear that appetizer sizes are only for maximum 2 people. To give you an idea of your costs. A medium pizza a calzone kids mac and cheese kids spaghetti kids pizza and a garlic bread would have gotten 8 costco pizzas or 16 little caesar pizzas. Last time I had popolos was when it was in lemoore so I supposed my expectations were a little high. Your staff is super nice though.
When ever we are in Fresno we always stop here for amazing pizza.
If you've been to the old location you'll love the update they gave it. More room & brand new everything with the same great food!
Service was fast and easy. The waiter was wonderful very friendly and nice! My boyfriend and I had a great time! The server went above to make sure we had a nice time
I wish I could give this place a better review. Their staff are really great, but besides that there is nothing to brag about...
I ordered a lasagna which also came with a soup (clam chowder). Interestingly enough, the day before I got to experience Monterey's clam chowder from 4 different places (tasting). Popolo's clam chowder was overly salty, lacked clams and primarily was flavorless (well, besides salt, but I consider salt a "flavor-masker"). Lasagna also left much to be desired. The quality of meat was poor, you really don't even know what sort of meat they are putting there... It was very fatty, and so were the breadsticks, soaked in butter... Ugh...
My friend's vegetarian pizza had slices of tomato on top and almost no tomato sauce. And this place specializes in pizza??? Another friend's pizza lacked green peppers that her ordered extra, so he got them sprinkled on top after pizza arrived. Green, fresh, crunchy peppers, just from under a kitchen knife... On a pizza that was already cooked... Sad :(
The place was understaffed over the Labor Day weekend, so we had to wait for over an hour for our food. Staff, however, did check on us regularly. Not their fault...
Doubt that I will be back...
The food is great as it always has been, they have a great beer selection and it's always clean. The service could be stepped up a bit though...
Salad bar is convenient, pizza is great!!! Expensive but good :)
The pizza is so delicious and tops other pizza places. The crust is to puffy. You get what you paid for. Fresh topping are the best
Dough that stands out with ingredients that make a difference. Garlic chicken pizza for the win
Came here for a party and the staff seemed to handle everything well. The food took some time but we had ordered two of the biggest pizzas I have ever seen so that was to be expected. We were well attended for and the food was really good. I would definitely come back to this place and absolutely consider them as a possible party venue.
Ordered online. Said it would be ready around 12pm (ordered around11:40am). Came at 12:05. Was told it wasn't quite ready yet. At 12:15ish was told they were putting it in the oven. Here it is 12:33 and haven't received my pizza that was to be ready about 30 minutes ago.
First time there and will probably be stopping by another time for another go at their 30" pizzas
Staff is also very accommodating
The place was not busy, and the service was slow. The food was good.
Nice location and atmosphere. The pizza was okay. They seemed short staffed, I only saw one poor girl seating guest and taking orders on a Sunday evening.
Never go wrong here always great service and great food. Mike (wearing the jacksonville jaguars hat) was very helpful. Great choice on the garlic bread very tasty
I love Popolo s so much. The food is so Flippin good. I worked there when I was in my early 20s, 20+ something years ago, and I can tell you for a fact that the food is so good. Should I said again? Kudos to Jeff , For the food, for the employment, oh and I forgot to tell you the food is so good
Great pizza, helpful and friendly staff, nice facility with comfortable seating.
Awesome pizza! The menu and service is fantastic! They don't skimp on cheese, the crust is soft and fantastic! The philly cheesesteak pizza is amazing, but the baked potato pizza is the real standout for creative and yummy tasting pizza! The old favorites like pepperoni and sausage are always great too. Best consistent pizza in town for me.
We've been coming here for years with a group of friends. The pizza flavor is awesome. We usually reserve the side room which could easily fit 50 people. The new location on Palm & Nees looks like it is all set up for video projection if you had a presentation or wanted to show a video. We enjoy the salad bar. The service has always been excellent. We'll be coming back for years!
Good, but not as good as it used to be. Need to improve salad bar!
Do you guys make it like this ? https://www.google.com/search?q=popolos+pizza&oq=popolos+pizza&aqs=chrome..69i57j46i10i175i199l3.7746j0j4&client=ms-android-cricket-us-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
Terrible terrible service. We waited for over a hour to get seated and then it took over an hour to get a pizza. The entire bar area was full of kids so I couldn't even enjoy an adult beverage without the million kids playing in the bar area. I think the manager really needs help with the running of his facility...
Love their pizza! But it seems diffrent since they moved to the new place. It's not the same kind of atmosphere in there.
This always worth the wait, for a great pizza pie. Rj
Best pizza in town. Wait could be long, but it's worth it.
I usually love it here but on our last visit it wasnt that busy and they put us in the farthest part of the restuarant and we got cold appetizers and weren't checked on but once and had to ask for our check.
The sauce is perfection! That s all I have to say about that (Forrest Gump voice) lol, the outer crust is one of the best I ve ever had, which confuses me because the outer crust is connected to the pizza base and that part is a little too spongy for my taste, another small negative I have for the pizza is that for the price you pay the cheese and pepperoni is somewhat light , don t be afraid to put some on there. The one thing I can say though the sauce is just the best I ve ever had, hands down!
Been going for years with the fam. Chicken wings are so good!
Best pizza, friendly atmosphere, lots of TV's to watch a variety of sports, etc., servers are the best!!!
I've been calling to see if they're back up and running but haven't gotten an answer. I hope they don't close this place down. They have the best pizza in Fresno and the customer service is outstanding.
Great pizzas. Tho crowded, the atmosphere was relaxed and were able to talk as we waited for our pie. We ordered the extra large half Supreme with pineapple and the other half all meat. LOVED IT! Our waiter was fast with our drinks and made sure we were taken care of.
Got the pepperoni slice and a soda for about $6. Good pizza, clean place.
Pizza is great! Huge! With the sizes!! Has small arcade section for the kids and a bar also!
Pizza is top notch and the cheesee. Bread is.... Well
Great baked sandwiches! I love the salad bar even though they took the beets away. Pizza is yummy too! Service is a little slow.
Hands down best pizza in Fresno, if not the central valley. It blows Me N Eds and BC's out of the water!
Busy place, waiters were not available and not helpful at times. Salad bar had old vegetables but the pizza was very tasty. Not sure if I would visit again.
Very good pizza! Had the bbq chicken, wascexcelkent! Did not go away hungry!
Amazing pizza, and a great place to take the family. They even have an arcade area for 5he kids.
The pizza was absolutely delicious. Lots of toppings on the pizza and extends pretty far to the end of the crust but stops just in time to create a perfect crust that is perfect for dipping. That being said the price was up there for a pizza joint. However there was more than enough pizza with the size that my wife and I ordered to eat to being stuffed and still take some home. Great place. And definitely a nice treat for pizza lovers.
I would sell my left nut for the hot wings pizza. Luckily I don't have to because they take cash.
The pizza was okay. Interesting beers on tap. But all in all, too expensive.
The new location is twice the drive for us, but still worth it. Their pizza has just the right cheese-to-anything-else ration, and is almost deep-dish it's so thick. Only gets a 4/5 on eating cold the next day, but very few pizzerias get a 5 on that.
Great food, great service and very clean restaurant.
I am glad there's a family owned pizza place close by. Good TVs for sports, good beer selection. We come here for some meetings but would always come for dinner with family too.
