A good sized convention hall. Needs an update to the sound system badly. Clean bathrooms and a clean facility. Probably good for weddings/receptions.

Excellent conference room facility. Clean, great condition, good parking and access.

Great parking...ease with merchandise into bldg...clean tea, and bathroom.

Great convention center. Took an Ap test there. It was nicely for conditioned unlike school.

I was here a couple weeks ago DJing for a wedding and the staff was amazing and very helpful. The food was exceptional as well. It was a pleasure to work with them and our clients were very pleased with the service they received. Beautiful venue and ample parking as well!

I took my AP test here, it's very beautiful inside as well for a party, very spacious, I went to a party there too and the people that worked there were very friendly, not sure how much it is to rent the place but I belive it's worth it.

What a wonderful place to have a wedding reception at! Food was great, staff was not the greatest but there where a few individuals that stood out the most to me! Kimberly I believe is the manager, she was wonderful! Great services from her the whole night! There was also another outstanding server, Charles G. was great! He was constantly cleaning up and helping others! Very friendly and had great ppl skills! The only thing I would recommend for this venue is to definitely work on the staff. Making them more friendly and if possible retrain on service. There where a few staff members that I felt had either no experience and or just did not care. In my experiences at weddings, the guest should never have to wait as long as we did for drinks and or receive attitude when ordering drinks. Especially when it's a cash bar, as well as food service. I noticed some tables did not receive food as other tables where already done eating and tables where being cleaned. Dinner at a weddin should all be served together if not pretty close together in times. We where give dinner rolls with no plates. When we asked for small side plates the server responded with "Oh we don't usually put plates out for bread" so I said well where I'm I supposed to place my bread on the table cloth and eat off the that? She replied yeah that usually what ppl do, I don't kno where she eats at but there should always be small plates on table for rolls or even like a small coffee plate or soup plate! Well over all the venue is beautiful and I would recommend ppl to go for events. But staff definitely has to be reevaluated and eliminate the few bad eggs!

Being one of the only large facilities to host an event in Janesville, the Pontiac Convention center is a great facility but could use a little repair and updating. My event was at night, and the sign was nearly burnt out and difficult to see. It is also hard to see how to get in to the parking lot. There is not enough parking for the capacity of the facility, so I suggest car pooling if possible. The interior of the facility is nice and could be decorated for any occassion. The setup of the room is going to depend on your event, however it gets crowded with the bar at the back of the room. Much of the carpeting in the lobby is stained and could use replacing. Overall, it is a nice facility but would not be my choice for a wedding reception unless my group was really too large to be elsewhere.

Decent place for weddings and other events. It's hit or miss with the staff working the event, though.

Not entirely impressed with Pontiac convention. I never expect perfection, however they did not meet any of my expectations. The space was nice,large and relatively clean. Our event was my sons wedding. The prices were ridiculously high. I did all of our extras,linens,centerpieces, decor,and planning. We had a cash bar with free Soda and beer. The bartenders were rude. Drinks are not allowed outside of the venue, per city ordinance, and instead of politely telling people, they followed them outside, followed them to their cars, peered inside windows and were obnoxious and insulting. Clients are required to pay 175. For security,he showed up at 8:30, weighed 99 lbs had dreadlocks and played on his phone the rest of the night. He didn't care what went outside, didn't want to be bothered. The brides room, I believe it's room A on the diagram, next to the bathroom. Was another overpaid joke. Barely a place to sit, 3 smallish tables, 5 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, a ring bearer and a bride, very inconviently set up. A(1) tiny mirror, and a lot of people sitting on the floor, I moved a coat rack from the hallway to hang things but it was really to short to hang much.
As far as the staff, they were intrusive and rude. Our food was ok, 1 guest received a chicken breast that bled and had to be sent back, the baked potato was over done, but I kind of understand that because they were kept in a warmer. The beef was kinda dry as was the chicken (the ones that were done) but again they were kept warm and understandable.
The staff at best events were also rude. Originally we dealt with Courtney to plan food and other details. She had little knowledge of her job, did a lot of "I will have to check" rolled her eyes repeatedly at my questions, after complaining to the company, we were cared by Kelly . Kelly was efficient and helpful. After dealing with PCC and best events, I don't think I would recommend them, nor would I use them again. I feel they need to work on improving customer service, and hire staff that are better trained to their job requirements and more familiar with what they are selling, and focus more on the comfort and satisfaction of their clients. This is a big money business they can afford to be more customer focused.

Visited a satellite of Central Christian Church. Wonderful environment. Very welcoming, hospitable and charming service.
