Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club Review

The restaurant was very busy because it was mothers day and of course the waitresses and waiters were doing their best to keep up. However, the waitress was very nice and the food was decent.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Lodge and Club in Ponte Vedra on June 16th and 17th. I will first like to say it was everything to be expected in a 4 1/2 diamond resort. From the moment I arrived on the premises to the time I reached the room was seamless. Everyone was inviting and made me feel like I was at home. I took residence in one of the oceanfront suites; the room was immaculate and the view was breath-taking. I consider myself a food connoisseur so I was eager to try the food and it did not disappoint. First I visited the Oasis and I must say the food was excellent. I had some of the regular menu items such as the Shrimp Tacos and Calamari and Clams appetizer as well as one of the specials of the day Turkey Swiss melt. The presentation of the food matched the taste perfectly. My hats off to Chef Robert and his team for producing a great culinary experience. Ooh my Ryan at the O Bar made the best Virgin Daiquiri I have ever had. The Ambiance at the Sea view Grill was second to none and the food was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the Steamed Salt Spring Mussels melt in your mouth good. The Prestige Farms Half Chicken and Bread Pudding dessert satisfied the palate. Late night room service was on point, it definitely satisfied the late night munches. All of the servers was great. The room attendant's kept my room refreshed. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the family pool area. Overall I was well pleased with my stay at The Lodge and Club and look forward to my next stay.

The perfect place for a day or two at the beach! When ever we come over to visit our family we go here. Love the food, and the location is amazing.

Nice club with beach access but the gym equipment is dated and often video doesn't work Gym instructors are fine but the equipment is old and not replaced frequently enough

When we got there, the place was emmaculant. Every employee was very nice and concerned about any questions I had. I would definently visit the place again

Bartenders were great. Food was amazing. Amazing place for wedding.

Very accommodating staff. Beautiful setting. The bar makes strong drinks. The rooms are pristine. I have never had a less than incredible experience at the lodge. One of my favorite resorts, period.

I was there for a friends birthday party and the food was spectacular, the wine was very good at the cakes were delicious. The staff was so accommodating and sweet.

Do not pass up the opportunity to stay here. We visit at least quarterly, sometimes more, for the past 10 years. The food quality at the Seaview Grill and even the bar outside on the beach is excellent. Chef Thomas' touch goes into everything they make. Even though Covid is effecting everyone's business for 'normalcy', there is no reduction in luxury and service here. This is, hands down, our favorite place in Ponte Vedra/Jax area. - Lance and Laura

Right along the beach. The rooms are comfortable that over look to the water. The food is excellent although the service to get said food took a while.

My wife and I came in for the weekend & from the moment we walked in this old, musty, moldy, mildewy dated resort, which needs a MAJOR renovation, we were disappointed. Once we got checked in and looked at our ocean suite room, which was decorated from the 1980 s, where we encountered mold in our room, pubic hair and ruination stains on the toilet, spiders on the walls, crumbs on the bed, stains on the cloth bed frame and that doesn t even include the thick layer of dust that plagued my allergies to the point that we had no choice but to leave within less than an hour of checking in. Truly a major disappointment. The only positive was that the hotel refunded 100% of our money. All I can say is why hasn t this resort reinvested in its infrastructure so that it s guests can truly enjoy their stay?

Wow! Just AMAZING! Let me start by saying this is definitely a 5 diamond restaurant, no detail is left behind. The staff are absolutely fantastic! Valet staff met us once and new us by name immediately, same for bar staff. Front desk staff, room service staff, housekeeping are all about hospitality. HOTEL SNOBS, I bet you cannot find anything wrong about this place!!!

The hotel room had a fireplace and the absolutely BEST view...My suggestion is to stay in room 426!!!! Trust me!

The food was delicious, the drinks were great!

Entertainment was phenomenal (blues and jazz) Friday night.

What am I missing? Not sure... but I will definitely make this a 1-2 time a year spot.

My husband and I were talking about it being better than a cruise.

My husband called room service and asked where the ice machine was located. The man said he would be right up to show him. He was there in like 30 seconds...when the ice machine was 25 feet from the door. I mean he could for just explained over the phone, but no! Like I said...

Service, service, service!

You will not be disappointed, and if you are somehow then you should just never leave your house because you're miserable.

Seriously, book this place! And again, ask for room 426 (second floor) or 326 (first floor) if that one is already taken.

P.s. I just checked availability for Labor Day weekend, yes THIS weekend, because we want to go back. However, the prices I believe are a little bit higher due to the holiday. :( BUT we WILL be back!

Cool foggy day and the marine layer never burned off. Surf conditions were jusyt ok. But the pool was nicely heated and the club was nice without a big crowd. Relaxing atmosphere and a good time to be there.

This hotel is amazing, offering views of the ocean in almost every room!

I cannot say enough about this place! Very friendly staff! They anticipated our every need. Beautiful spot, right on the beach. Great variety of delicious food. Dining options were amazing: indoor, outdoor, casual to upscale, room service was the best I've had anywhere! Best peach daiquiri, hands down. We can't wait to visit Robert and the rest of his staff again.

A wonderfully cute place. Nice sized rooms, beautifully decorated, and spa-like bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Great facility beach access, workout facility and hotel/club

I very rarely write reviews as I truly believe most businesses are trying hard to please there customers. That said, the Ponte Vedra Beach Lodge & Club left something to be desired during our one and only vacation in this crazy Covid world. The lodge implemented an overly strict Covid plan which limited amenities for paying guests...and they clearly overbooked the hotel based upon the restrictions they put in place (or they didn t apply the same limits to their local club members). Some examples: no spa reservations a week out, pool time limited to 2 hours a day, and limited dining options - even outdoor venues that could clearly comply with social distancing. And that s on top of a cockroach we had to kill in the hotel room the night we arrived, no room cleaning during your visit and having to ask for fresh towels during a 4 night stay. And on top of it all, we encountered a series of grumpy elderly club members that seemed disgusted that children were even present in a family pool. Needless to say, we won t be going back and wouldn t recommend.

I've been there for lunch several times. Food is very good, but the staff is not very sensitive to time constraints of lunch hour. I'll be back, but not in a tight time schedule.

My husband and I spent our anniversary night there. We loved everything about our stay. Eventhough we has a very loud family next door. Im sure that the would have handled the situation had I informed them.

Clean, plenty of parking and beach space, and the foods good too. The parking is across the street so you will have to walk about 100 yards to get to the entrance (unless you go lazy and valet). The parking is next to the pool (adults only) and gym which are very nice. The beach has plenty of room which is clean un-groomed. Chairs and Umbrellas are not included to the best of my knowledge but there is a nice bathroom and free water up by the bar. I have not had a bad meal there so you can't go wrong with the food. Keep an eye on the calendar as they have special events for the kids.

Great food and service. Wonderful selection, made all that much better by the view of the ocean.

You need to be a member or a guest staying at the lodge to use the amenities around this property. But lots of fun and very well worth it.

This was really an excellent experience. All of the staff (and I mean everyone) go out of their way to say hello. The accommodations were excellent (the decore in my room wasn't my cup of tea, but I have no sense of style anyhow). We ate entirely on site and I can share that I didn't dislike anything I tried. For a smaller business conference, it was as good as any other I've been to.

Beautiful! Incredible staff! Everyone goes above and beyond. A must stay resort! The rooms look brand new. Bring you're family or your entire work; this is paradise!

We've eaten in the restaurant and used beach facilities a number of times. We have no complaints. The staff is friendly, and the beach rental umbrellas and chairs are great. The food at the restaurant has gotten an upgrade recently, and is generally good beach fare.

My weekend getaway place. The atmosphere is awesome. The service is great and the location is amazing. Anytime I need some R&R, I head here.

Facilities are excellent, from the rooms themselves, all with ocean view, the amenities in the rooms, to gift shops, restaurants and the spa. The transportation is excellent as well.

We went for dinner and drinks and the food was amazing. I had the trout and the staff catered to my allergies nicely. Others had seafood and pasta off the Italian night menu. The view is perfect of course, and we had great service. Looking forward to the next visit!

Awesome resort. We had one little hiccup with our heating unit and they discounted our stay. Great staff and accommodations.
