A very disappointing visit. We did not eat at this place at the end. The waiter asked us to head out to the entrance and check out the menu before serving. I felt insulted as a result of this. I don t mind paying $100SGD / person but not with this kind of service , or lack of.

Almost all dishes were great. Expensive, but better to pay more and eat a hamburger next time. It is not a vegetarian place, but you must enjoy vegetables to enjoy the restaurant. Most high end tasting menus in Singapore do not serve enough food. Same for this restaurant but great that they offer extra bread so you do not leave hungry.

PS. But silly to respond with a canned message saying that I won't be deterred from revisiting.

It's an overall enjoyable dining experience. Foods are tasty, and drink pairing is good enough. Hopefully those new staffs can be better and less nervous next time

One thing that requires immediate improvement: coffee
The coffee really really tasted awful. Sorry to say that but the flat white is worse than nespresso + milk poured directly on top. We give up on that drink after first taste.

I went to Pollen for a dinner hosted by my friend. Needless to say the ambience and food was beyond amazing. And the hospitality is definitely worth a mention. Every dish presented to us was explained neatly by our waitress. She was really caring to understand our dietary restrictions and serve us the food based on those. Definitely worth paying a hefty amount for a marvellous 5 star dining experience.

Beautiful fusion brunch with the ladies. The menu comes in sets so no choice for ala carte. The portions were just nice. We had a three-course each and every dish was a pleaser. Perhaps the most interesting dish is the duck and foie gras dish that came in the form of a duck head and neck stuffed with liver and duck confit. However I was glad I kept to my usual favourite steak. Also love the cute delicious starters that really got us wanting more. The website says it might be cold inside and advised to bring additional coat but after wandering around the gardens before brunching here, the air conditioning was just perfect. After brunch, we got to enter the flower dome for a feast for the eyes. Perfect Sunday!

Afternoon tea wasn t very tasty but it s good place for a date because can get free entry to flower dome. I forgot to make payment so a waitress whatsapped me and I came back to pay on another day so it was memorable

Sweet scented air, nice cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Best afternoon ever. Sitting on Pollen is always one of the rewards going into the Flower Dome. I know I can sit and read or even work there comfortably for hours. Although if you sit too long, the staff will not like it and will hint you one way or another that you need to go even when there s no crowd (post CB).

Tuck in the corner of the flower dome surrounded by herbs and garden landscape. Nice ambience, great fusion mix and so relaxing with the super high glass ceiling (like alfresco dinning in climate country).

It is an exquisite meal & experience. Everything taste & look amazing. Other than the food within the course, there are pre-appetiser, pre-dessert, post dessert dishes. Service is impeccable.

A very nice restaurant, with great and efficient service and cosy and chic atmosphere.
Good choice of wines.
Possibility to ask for vegetarian/vegan options, but no real choice on the menu.

Decided to try Pollen through friends recommendation. When I made the reservation (prior to reading all reviews), I had to pay 50 dollars as a deposit. Shall cancellation is required, it has to be done 48 hours prior. I guess that makes sense, as they will have to source for the freshest ingredients (raw beef tartare for example).

Post making my reservation, I decided to have a look at the menu and that's when I stumbled on the mixed reviews. It made me rethink the reservation, but it was too late then. With a low expectation, praying that the surprise and service will be a smooth sailing one, I went there with my fiance for his birthday.

We took grab and arrived at gardens by the bay, where theres a buggy waiting for us. He has got my reservation information prepared, then drove us through gardens by the bay to Pollen. The experience was personal, as it was just the both of us. I thought, that's a pretty good start!

Once we arrived, he got the main door for us and we were then greeted by the lady in the front desk, which walked us to our table. We decided to go into the flower dome for a walk first (it closes at 9pm and we were there at 8.15pm) before having our dinner. They've been very nice and kind in allowing us to do so as last order is 9.30pm.

We walked around the dome, well decorated for xmas with natural scent of the plants! Then head back at 8.45pm. We decided to go with the 6 course and 5 wine pairing.. and have never regretted the choices we made!

Food was served fast and the dishes were so delicious! This wasn't our first time having fine dining yet it's one of the best! It was bursting with fresh flavours, the crew explained the dishes and wine for us once its being served.

It got pretty chilly and they've also got shawls for us to use.

Overall, I'd rate my experience as per below:

Ambience: 10/10
Food: 10/10 (all was fresh, including the beef tartare!)
Service:10/10 (staff were friendly and willing to help)

I suppose shall you're a staff in the restaurant, a customer comes in with a smile on the face, you'll also want to serve them better.

To also clarify, I was there on a Monday night at 8pm. It wasnt crowded, that may have helped the service team too!

One last point, the restaurant closed at 10pm, yet the dishes weren't fully served yet. They were all so patient to serve us our courses without chasing us. But we of course felt bad and decided to ask them to serve us all the courses so that they can leave earlier :)

Overall, we will definitely give this place a visit again!

There is a buggy service to the restaurant, i would say it can host around 90-100 pax only. Because of the entrance it is best to get there on the buggy service especially on a rainy day. you will still get wet if you walk by the so call shelter from garden by the bay. Carpark is best park at basement carpark A. The buggy service is nearest to this basement carpark. If you walk from carpark to here is around 10min. Restaurant is surrounded by the smell of flowers which is quite nice

Had a wonderful evening at Pollen. The food, ambience and service were all excellent. Christine was particularly great at co-ordinating our special requests, going above and beyond what we could have hoped for. The location of the restaurant in the flower dome also makes for a unique experience. We will definitely go again.

Beautiful experience.

Personally I don t take dairy. And they managed to remove it and yet taste delicious !

The decoration of the dish is very creative and colourful!

Must visit !

Ambience: 8/10

Ambience: 8/10
Food: 7/10
Service: 1/10 (most servers were nice, except we had a very bad attitude from the manager)

Made a dinner reservation on 15 Feb. The image is a screenshot of email sent by them - stating the dress code. By casual, I take it as shorts is allowed and so i turned up in a top, shorts and slip-on.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by an Indian lady that's mostly in charge of being at the reception counter (I assume the manager?) and a server. Firstly, i was embarrassed when the server told me that no shorts was allowed, because didn't the email clearly said "casual" attire. They were specific about no sportswear and flip-flops but did not mention no shorts allowed. Anyhow, they let me regardless.

I noticed throughout the dinner that everyone was dressed smart-casual, except for me. I went to their website to check if they specified any dress-code and I couldn't find any. Fine, I take it that I have to be at fault since everyone was dressed nicely, and never mind the misleading information I was told in the email to dress casual.

What was most horrifying and embarrassing for me was, when the Indian lady manager whispered very loudly "SHORTS" to the server, whom greeted me at the reception counter. The Indian lady was standing at a distance away from my table (I was already seated then) and directly in front of me, while the server was near my table. Not only did I hear her mouth that, I saw her doing it. The very strong emphasis of facial expression when she mouthed "SHORTS". How embarrassed and unwelcome she made me feel. Anyway, I was subsequently handed a shawl to cover my legs but I didn't make a fuss over it but only offered a feedback at the end of the dinner that it was a very unpleasant experience.

To the Indian lady who was wearing a black blazer, black pants and black flats that day, yes, I'm singling you out. If I failed to meet your desired dress code (Again, NEVER MIND, that your email gave misleading information), then simply turn me away right at the start when I arrived. You were there too with the server, turn me away then.

Not only did you give me such a disgusting attitude, throughout the whole dinner, I noticed you gave me looks of disapproval. When she came for our bill, she did not smile and greet us like the rest of the servers. She simply passed the bill to us and didn't even say a word of "thank you." Such a snobbish behavior. Are we beggars to you? And even so, did we not pay for our bill? If this is supposed to be fine dining, i expect the service to be of that standard. You should have been discrete and tell your server to give me a shawl, not mouth to her DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME, and within ear shot that i am wearing shorts.

And coming from you as a manager? I am ashamed for you. After all, anyone who dines at the restaurant is paying and mind you, part of what we pay goes into your salary and this is the treatment we get from a fine dining restaurant with such low-class attitude and behavior?

If you appear as beggars to you and you do not wish to serve us, turn us away right at the start. Don't invite me in, take my money and give us such service. Shame on you. Working at a fine dining restaurant does not make you any classier.

We made an appointment for dinner at Pollen restaurant located at Flower Dome. When we arrived, it was raining and were unable to make our way to the restaurant entrance. When we approach the staff at the flower dome entrance, we were asked to contact Pollen directly. The staff at Pollen told us to wait at the entrance of the flower dome and they will send the buggy to pick us up. We waited for 15mins and no one show up and another call was made to Pollen. This time another staff pick up the call and inform that they will send someone over soon. We waited for another 15mins and again no one show up. By then the rain had stopped and we make our way over. When wewarrived at the entrance, the buggy was parked in front of the restaurant and there was no intention to pick us up. Do consider twice if you plan to visit this restaurant during rainy season..

Other than the poor service and charred bread, the rest of the food taste pretty good. Would recommend Duck leg confit, Lamb shank, Seabass, Salmon..

Delicious Mediterranean-themed 3-course tasting menu ($118). Ambience is beautiful as the restaurant is situated within the Flower Dome. The piped music, however, was a little loud and didn't fit the ambience. Attentive and efficient service. Great place for a date or special occasion.

Celebrated our anniversary at Pollen on 19 Jan 2020, got the 3 course lunch set for 55 and the beef short ribs were tender and tasty. The service was excellent, and the manager proactively offered my wife plasters when she needed one.

Had dinner on a Monday night, not many ppl. Was worried about the service before going due to the many bad reviews but service turned out excellent. Restaurant staff were helpful and served with a smile. Food was great although slightly pricey to me, but you do get to visit Flower Dome.

This restaurant was a highlight on our Singapore city trip. The hawker markets are great but the ambiance of this place is a delight with all the greenery and the tranquil atmosphere.

The hostess made sure we where looked after and service was up to spec. The european vibe made us feel more than welcome. I cant recognise the experience we had with other negative reviews made before.

The a la carte menu options allow for both veggie and non-veggie customers. The highlight was the lovely venison tartare, an absolute delight.

Would swing by in a heartbeat, if only it was closer to home.....

An absolutely amazing experience. The service, atmosphere, and food were all excellent. The dishes were creative, well prepared, and very tasty. Not a cheap place but totally worth it for a nice meal. The tasting menu, in particular, was a great combination of dishes and all were great. We will definitely be back.

Amazing experience at Pollen. The chef has created a wonderful tasting menu, keeping in mind his journey from England to Singapore. One of the few places in Singapore which offers a completely plant-based tasting menu, which is great news for vegans. We had the 3-course menu (not plant based), and every dish was perfectly cooked. The scallop carpaccio, the roasted French quail, pork-collar and the baby lamb - everything was fantastic. The sommelier suggested great wine pairings too. Good selection of imported cheeses, which can be one of your choices for dessert. Service was considerate and courteous. Great place to take your spouse/partner on a romantic date.

Enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea with lovely patisseries and snacks here. It was all so tasty. We especially enjoyed the lotus root chips (and parsnip chips) served with carrot cream, and the small cakes and the savoury cheese ball. The restaurant has a nice variety of teas. My refreshing Bavarian Mint tea was great too
The place is a bit crowded, but that s all.

Scenic view and delicious food. They serve different kinds of cheese, canapes, and gin-infused waternelon. Of all the dishes, I love their earl grey ice cream. Quite expensive but it is worth the price for a Michelin guide endorsed European cusine restaurant in Singapore.

Entered the restaurant. Waitress told me menu is on the wall so I went to see and told them I would like to have a table. Then I was told they are closed. It would be helpful if could tell us from very beginning so not to waste both of our time

The new chef that s has taken over Pollen is WAY WAY better than before. Lovely start to finish. Thoughtful dishes, decent portion and attentive service. Definitely good for date nights and bigger gathering. Much recommended.

Hubby and I had a wonderful time at the restaurant today (our first visit) made very comfortable with the attentive service of Ernest, Celine, Ashwan, Farhan. We had a pleasant surprise too when the friendly Chef Michael Wilson came around to chat with the diners.Food was well plated and presented, ingredients were fresh and the interesting flavours melded so lovely together. From the starter snacks, bread basket, smoked eel, lettuce gazpacho, toothfish, aged duck, gorgonzola gelato to the finale of sweets in a treasure box, the dining experience was truly enjoyable. The tasting menu brought back memories of our Michelin starred dining experience in San Sebastian, Spain.

Had the Chef's Menu by Chef Michael Wilson with wine pairing as a birthday lunch celebration. The Mediterranean-themed menu provided surprise after surprise of gourmet delights paired with relatively unknown but delicious wines from across the Med like Greece and Lebanon for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to get your afternoon tea after strolling the gardens. Good selection of pastries all very tasty and fresh. Large tea selection, I wouldn't recommend the coffee as it was very watery. Nice atmosphere and good service.

One of the best gastronomic experiences in Singapore. My husband and I were greatly surprised by the level of quality in terms of presentation, flavour and balance of every single dish. Service by the staff was impeccable , menu well rounded and every dish was better than the one before. Highly recommended!

I bought my family to Pollen in February, and love the quiet ambiance. You get to smell the flowers once you step into the restaurant, and being in the dome, the environment is kept in a nice temperature.
We went for the 7 course dinner menu, with wine pairing which goes well with the food.

Treated by bestie to this superb tasting menu enjoyed most of the dishes very much! Never a dull dish - every dish looked exquisite, well thought of and well explained by the waitress. Starters, smoked eel, duck neck were especially memorable.

Punctuality for buggy service can be improved, also another patron jumped Q but driver did not rectify issue on the spot.

Also, a pity they closed off the entrance to the dome during cb phase 2 dining.

It was a quite delightful experience, beyond my expectation. Extending the greeny and light of flower dome into its decor, the ambience is already agreeable. Staff were very friendly, helpful on all details at ordering and serving. Cooking showed good creativity.
Especially here is quite a vegetarian friendly fine dining restaurant, vegetarian menu has good choices, and the vegetable tart and risotto we ordered were tasty.

Finally we are out to do our food blog, with the Covid situation, we have tried to stay at home. But today is my wife birthday hence we book a table at Pollen to enjoy yourself.

I took the chef's menu and my wife chose the 3 course set. I have to say all the dishes were fantastic. For the main course, I had the Tasmanian beef topped with truffles while my wife took the fish. The tender short rib and loin goes so well with the truffles and the fish was flaky, fresh and delicious!

One of the appetizers was the beef heart tomato, the tartness and sweetness from the tomato goes so well with the black garlic balsamic and greek basil. Refreshing!

With great ambience and free entry to the flower dome.
Terrific service and delicious food from Chef Michael Wilson.

This is a great dinner place for couple who like Mediterranean food.

An unforgettable experience. We had the chef's experience menu - it was a 9 course gastronomic experience and service was impeccable. Each dish was an experience and we really loved how the plating kept to the flora gardens theme. Enjoyed every dish and dessert was a dream.

I was under the impression Australians couldn t cook. Turns out I was wrong, which pains me to say give I m a Kiwi. Fantastic food, great tasting and unique without being overly creative pretentious. There s some weird things happening with a duck neck sausage but whatever floats your boat. Perfect place for a special occasion and free access to after hours flower dome is a great bonus.

The experience was pretty decent, waiting staff will come and explain every single dish. I also think the meal was quite filling because they also serve several items on the house. Then again, you're paying for more than 2 meals than a restaurant somewhere else.
However, the 3 stars is really to reflect its absurd no-show/cancellation policy.
When making a reservation, you're required to leave your credit card details. You'll be charged if you fail to cancel (48 hours before) and fail to appear. So jusy walk in then, there's not many people anyway.

Good service and delicious food. $85 for the 5 course meal and $55 for 3 course. There was bread and starters served as well. After dessert they also gave some chocolates. You get free entry to the Flower Dome if you dine here which makes it more worth it as the entry fee would be $12 otherwise. You may want to take note that they charge for water ($5 per pax which is quite pricey). Overall good experience!

Really good experience here. I was wondering why this place is not rated with Michelin stars. I have been to many Michelin stars restaurants both locals and overseas. I think this place should be rated one to two stars. My wife and I had a tasting menu meal. I have to say the foods are really excellent. I guess this is most important attribute of a fine dining restaurant. The ambience is impeccable, right in the Garden by the Bay Flower Dome, with fancy flowers all around. The temperature is at a cool 20C. A bit chilly for me as I was just wearing smart casual. It will be perfect if you have a jacket. The only comments I have about the food is, 1. The butter for the bread. I think it's too light and needs a bit more salt. 2. The desert- it's absolutely pleasing to the eyes but I think there are too many things added to the bowl and it loses its theme. These are just personal opinions. Overall 5 stars for me and deserves to be in Michelin stars list.
