For the past 16 months we have had the privilege of being represented by Mr. Joseph Carpio of the firm Polak McKay & Hackshaw, dealing with the estate of my late brother. My brother had been very sick and Joseph came to the hospital to help him draft his will. He was kind and patient with my brother and showed compassion to me and my family. After David passed, we had Joseph handle the estate as well as the sale of his home. He continues to represent us as we put the finishing touches on the estate. Joseph is a true gentleman, honest and kind and very quick to respond to our needs.
Without question, we would highly recommend Joseph Carpio to anyone seeking legal advice or needs.

When the purchase of our first home went sideways due to bank foreclosure on the property we were trying to buy this law firm helped us through some confusing and difficult times. Other lawyers and real estate agents gave us poor advice, and luckily we found Ron Hawkshaw and his associates. He was able to explain our rights and weigh our options with our best interests at heart. PMH Law Offices, and specifically David McKay was our lawyer for the purchase and sale of our home. They were amazing! The purcahse of our new home went smoothly, and they were on the ball every step along the way. The sale of our home was rocky, as the purchaser missed the closing date, but it finally closed 2 days later. During this incredibly stressful time, we were on pins and needles. David and Laura provided solid advice along the way, ensured we and our interested were protected, went above & beyond frequently communicating with us as well as the other lawyers involved, and in keeping us posted as the closing played out. As the deceased''s estate lawyer it was natural for our family to continue the relationship and retain the firm (Specifically, David McKay) to execute Probate. Given the slightly complicated nature of our situation and the size of the estate there was no expectation that things would move fast, but I found that the firm blatantly lied about executing tasks and having filed signed documents with the Superior Court several times over several months--not realizing that I was checking up on them with the court clerks directly.

They were paid 100% up front, but the advice given regarding how to proceed was terrible; it cost us extra YEARS of time and thousands of dollars more due in part to the fact that the Superior Court Judge caught their mishandling of the file and put a stop to everything, requiring the firm remove itself from our case. In my opinion, the firm should have also returned our money as we paid a flat fee for a specific service that was not delivered due to their actions.
It is human to err, but it is, in my opinion, unprofessional and unethical handle things as they did.

Thorough, honest, affordable--I highly recommend them.
