Poblocki Paving Corp. Review

Call twice for an estimate and never heard back. Unprofessional on the phone. Second time I called, the receptionist was audibly annoyed and explained that it takes a week to get a call back.

Upon requesting my info to verify they had it, she was unable to locate the record of me ever calling and spent 5 minutes reiterating that I was not in their system. I then politely ask her to collect my information and pass it on to their sales person so that I could receive a call back. Never heard back.

Where do I start? Lack of communication as to when the job would start. "The week of.." isn't good enough. They showed up to our house no more than 10 minutes before we received the call. Driveway was dug up, left with "it'll be done by the weekend"

We told them they could pave up to the neighbors fence, and they did. The neighbor had an issue, to which, we brought it up with Adam via email and asked if anything could be done. He replied, "I'm actually pretty irritated you are telling me this after we discussed.."

Well, that's great, he's irritated.

In the same email, I made mention of how the driveway had roller marks that went deeper than the area next to it, as if the roller was compacting the driveway more than the asphalt compactor plate.

I viewed it on my security camera and saw where the roller went. I asked him if I should worry about it to which he replied, "maybe you should watch the security video to see how they compacted your driveway prior to rolling with the larger roller"

Well, I did, and guess what? The roller never even touched the area in question. After all that, I get "you're commenting on procedures you're not even familiar with" Well, he's right with that one, but I do know that a roller weighs a heck of alot more than a compactor plate..

Finally, the last sentence of his e-mail, "We will be collecting full payment for this job or we will be filing a lien on your property."

Really? Really?! We already gave you 1/3 on a deposit, what makes you think we weren't serious about paying you? Instead of a professionally worded email that could've been resolved with simple "unfortunately, we can't do that.." or "It's not in the contract" or even just yes or no answers, we received that.

So, don't question anything about their procedures unless you want to aggravate the owner.. or get lien threats..

I've never shopped with Poblocki, but I pass the company every single day on my morning commute and I have to say.... their sign and daily sales lines DEFINITELY make sitting in morning rush hour a little more enjoyable! Every day it's some new quirky quote! I love it!! Thank you for making rush hour suck a little less!

I contracted Poblocki Paving to replace my garage floor and resurface my blacktop driveway. The work was second to none. The garage floor is quite possibly the nicest I've ever seen! Tom Fendryk is my salesman and he was very easy to work with. He addressed all of the concerns with my job and it turned out amazing. I couldn't be happier!

Poblocki has been a great partner to work with. Tom Fendryk is very responsive and professional. I will continue to use Poblocki for paving projects and recommend them to others.

Asked for a quote & no one responded. Guess they don't need the business

Tried for a month to get a quote on a patio and garage repair. Salesmane cancelled three times and after that I ignored his calls. A month later a letter shows up saying my job is to small for them. How do you know you never showed up. Just another big company only after big business.

The project manager is supposed to be in charge of caring for his own parking lot, but for years wasn't even capable of doing that - forcing the neighbors to take care of snow removal. This is no exaggeration: He is literally the rudest person I have met in my life, and I suggest if you care about humanity that you would not give this person or their company any money. Go anywhere else.

EDIT: I have not paid for services so I am not in their system, but I am rather the neighbor and former unpaid caretaker of Adam Poblocki's parking lot. It would seem by the level headed and well written reply to this review wasn't written by him, so I edited and removed the word "owner" from my review.

I've had nothing but good services using them, and I always recommend to other's the concrete work, landscaping work, snow removal and asphalt work. The workers and the person in charge is always considerate.

DO NOT HIRE. Unless you don't like your mailbox. They're drivers took mine out and after 9 months of a manager saying he was going to have it replaced...nothing. They win because I replaced it myself. Just a heads up on how this company handles business on even the simplest of fixes.

Absolute dissatisfaction with my new asphalt driveway. I am already losing stones after only 9 months. I stated my concern over it being so pocked when it was first laid in the Fall. I only received lip service that they would check it out. Zero customer service.

They take the extra time to make your parking lot perfect. No cutting corners or excuses as to why the job isn t don t to perfection. The employees also made sure your satisfied on every level of the project. Professionalism over ways the cost. Thank you Publocki Team.

Very satisfied with professionalism and communication. Although final completion of project was delayed by weather, they finished installing the asphalt as soon as weather allowed. Only 3 stars due to fact that driveway does not drain properly after rain storm; water pools in one spot at end of driveway near roadway about 4 ft x 2 ft. Stays wet long after rain stops. Very unsightly.

I work at a business that is currently being serviced by poblocki. Not so much complaining about the quality of the paving as I am the management and workers on site at this job. I witnessed 3 gentleman working for poblocki violently curse and threaten a jimmy johns worker for walking on a path that was clearly dry and safe to walk on. That same day while taking out the trash (literally doing my job) I was forced to walk on a path that they had paved. I will add that this path was dry and these same 3 gentleman were also already standing on it. They proceeded to loudly curse at me which ended in 2 of the 3 individuals to run up to me and proceed to attempt to start a fist fight with me. Horrible representation of a company. The paving isn't even finished until the 13th of this month so let's see if I encounter these kind folks again!

I own a small laundromat. they came in and redid my lot for a good price. It looks great!!! Thank you so much for the fast service!

Bottom line... on my next project I would use Poblocki without question.
So happy with initial visit and project management.
I had some weather concerns and they communicated perfectly.

I had an amazing experience with Adam and the team at Poblocki. I had contacted numerous concrete and paving companies and Adam was one of the few that got back to me, spent the time to go over our project, and quote it quickly. Once we signed the contract our project was done quickly and the quality is awesome. I already referred their company to other people as I was very impressed.

I have seen top notch snow plowing and salting. Would never hesitate to call them :-)

Beyond amazing job sealing and striping my parking lot at Azana Salon and Spa! Jill was THE BEST at keeping in communication with me when it rained. They were here when they said they d be. Originally a one star in accident. I just noticed it and had to change it. They were AMAZING people to work with from start to finish and they made my driveway look great. People from the neighborhood would be driving by and had to slow down. I also had a few companies bit it and Poblocki had best price and by far best service.

Been waiting since the beginning of April for them to come pave my driveway and it is now middle of may and still nothing. They call when it rains to say they are not coming and get nothing on days it is nice. If I didnt have money already invested in the project I would go with some one else that would not give the run around and would just get the job done!!!!!

I've been in business since 1975 and have dealt with a lot of pavers but I had to write a review. Poblocki was fantastic!
