The location of the hotel is great, and the staff is very friendly. It's obviously a place for younger people, but they have facilities for families too.
The hotel rooms are not the prettiest, but that's okay.
Room ok. At 7 o'clock in the morning the roofer knocks on the window and saws on the roof so that sleep is unthinkable. For 100 ne cheek.
Staff is friendly, however the whole experience has not been satisfactory. First we arrived and we got our key, then we got to our room but surprise there were people in our room, so we came back to reception and after waiting for a while they assigned us another room, the new room is right next to the elevator. It is way too noisy, it is almost imposible to sleep, we are about to go to sleep (at least to try) and we just realized that there are no towels, soap nor shampoo, we called reception asking and they said you can come to reception and we can give you whatever you need. Why should we go to reception? First you assign us a room that is already occupied and now we have to go to pick towels and soap?

Good room, very spacy The beds are good, comfortable and clean. The bathroom is also pretty good, although the shower is a bit cold.
Great Hostel and Hotel well recommended place everything you could want including an indoor pool great in the middle of winter.Young vibrant and very friendly staff will return when we can without reservations wish everybody there the best.Well done. My friend and I gave 90 kr. person for an overnight stay in a mixed hostel room for 4 people. When we arrive at the hostel they have upgraded our room for free to a private room with two beds. They also provided two free shots at the reception. When we arrive in the room it is neat and clean. There is chocolate in the bed and a private bathroom with towels and hand soap and body soap. The location was right at the East Side Gallery / East Side mall / a train station / two nightclubs (including The Matrix). So it was perfect. In addition to this there was also a pool and sauna for free use. There was also a kitchen if you wanted to use it. And then there was also the restaurant and bar. The staff was also top notch. They were super cute. I would definitely recommend this place.
Nice place with clean rooms and numbered beds. Reasonably priced buffet breakfast and games room/pool/laundry. Good times can be had here.
Food was super nice and the bar was cool. But we got kicked out of the hostel for being "to loud" without warning. They kicked out 3 rooms without warning and the manager decided to hide and not be an adult and talk to us. If you want good food but be treated like children go here.

Interesting building, old boarding school I believe. Probably great for student groups with spacious bar and entertaining facilities. Clean rooms in a maze of a corridor. Nothing wrong with the place but next time I will look for an airbnb (READ: would've enjoyed it more if I had been 10 years younger).
The room was great, super hipster furniture. The place is overall very welcoming and the staff is friendly. The only downside was that the place has windows which are super thin. Thus, in the room its quite loud due to the night club next door and the street.

Is very good. There is an indoor pool and a sauna. Food was good. Rooms were relatively large, but my bed was the bedstead (the where the mattress is on it) completely broken.
Toilet was very dirty.
Also, the pool and sauna area is pretty bad.

I live on the fourth floor attic room.
The room is cold. warming system not functioning well i guess and it make me hesitate to take shower every night.
the room facility is also poor designed or located.
for example, there is no place to put my shampoo, body wash and conditioner.
and also when i hang my jacket my sleeve always touch the floor because the hanging rod is located too low.
The price is quite expensive for me and i expected a much better condition.
The only positive thing is the location is really convenient, no argue.

Price / offer: Very good. The breakfast is nothing special and I met a few people who had breakfast outside. The rooms are perfectly fine, but the walls in the room were a bit empty, a two pictures or a different decoration would have been nice :)
It is a very nice place, very youthful. The treatment of the staff is very very good, both reception and at the bar. Spanish speaking. It is 5 minutes from the metro. It is a very recommendable place.

This place really upset me.. it's an unbelievable location! Pool, sauna, great rooms, power shower, a fake beach with sand and loungers! A fab restaurant, game machines, smoking area, bbq area, popcorn machine, comfy rooms, my favourite place I stayed in Europe although.. you name it, they have it! But..
BEDBUGS.
Yes.. bedbugs, my friend was bitten over 50 times even on her face it was terrible. And we know for a fact they were from this room and this hotel as we found one on the bathroom towel.
So sad because the hotel was everything great until this happened.
We had to go to the doctor about it ect. Cost alot and we refused to pay the full amount. The manager of the place has multiple reviews here of not wanting to deal with any issues and he didn't want to deal with ours either. We asked for him a total of 3 times and when he was finally in the building he would not come down and sent his assistant or of the likes who may I say was unbelievabley nice and couldn't of been better.
But the matter of the fact is, bed bugs.. sorry guys! They even have a specific freezer for bedbugs in the cellar..
Location is not central but the Plus Berlin is fantastic with its bar/common room/rooms/facilities.

This is almost a hotel! After 20 days of traveling in many hostels, stayed me that in Berlin and felt in heaven. I stayed in the four girls room, it was extremely clean! Had linens, towel, soap and balinha for each of us! In addition there is a very nice restaurant and bar inside the hostel! I got a free shot at check in, I was very happy! The staff was very helpful and has a lot to be explored in this hostel. Highly recommend! You will not regret.
I've stayed here twice now and it's hard to beat on location, price and amenities.
A 5 minute walk (or a 3 minute run) from the S and U lines makes it easy to get anywhere, and there's plenty in the area for food, drink or clubbing if that takes your fancy.
The rooms themselves are spacious and pretty standard fare (large lockers included, BYO lock). Note there's no air conditioning (standard for most of Berlin) and can be noisy at night.
The hostel itself is huge and a fantastic restaurant and bar at the back with quality food with a cool art gallery spot and courtyard in the centre.
If there's a downside it's mainly around its size; there's no great meeting place inside and with everything spread out it's hard to meet your new best mates for the day/night. If you're coming as a group yourselves however it's ideal.
It's a hostel+hotel. We had booked 3 beds in an 18 room dorm but got upgraded to a 3 bed hotel room at check-in. Reception staff is fantastic - really sweet and helpful. The stay was great - recommended for anyone who's planning a trip to Berlin.

Spartan but essential Find from the restaurant to the sauna to the pool. Excellent cleaning. Rooms remade every day with fresh towels. Highly recommended for young people but also for the less young, given the possibility of taking rooms for 2 as we did. Prices fabulous staff as well as 5 stars. For a holiday in Berlin is the 'ideal.
It is a really good hostel. It even feels more like a hotel because you get room clean every day, towels and bathroom in the room (at least the one shared between 4).

Excellent hostel suitable for young people, warm welcome, well-managed restaurant and equipped with common rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, sauna and sports rooms. I noticed a lack of lighting with regard to the bedrooms. The hostel is very close to public transport stops.
Seemed to be clean. Good connection to Alexanderplatz. Not far away there is a very nice cafe where you can have breakfast. Unfortunately, towels are not included.

I couldn't suggest anything better than Plus Berlin. Amazing staff and cleaning. Every day there is cleaning service in the room and always with new fresh towels.
But what I most enjoyed was the pool+sauna. Simply the best place to meet new people or relaxing (if is that what you need)
Really friendly staff, and we got moved from the hostel to the hotel for free for some wonderful reason. We had a nice room and a good time. I liked the area too, a little bit sketchy in the charming way that Berlin often is. Overall a nice experience.
In December 2019 my roommate and I were robbed in our room and until today we have not received a position from the management where we had informed that the stolen amount would be returned.

The bar is pretty good, the rooms are good - expect creaky/squeaky beds though. Claiming that there is free wifi is basically a shameless lie, as you can maybe connect to the internet for 5 minutes a day, when everyone in the hostel is out.
You get what you pay for, but the lack of internet is a real problem for anyone (like myself) trying to organise the next stage of their travels on the 5 available computers in the lobby that have consistent internet access when there is usually a line behind you.
Unfortunately, check-in is possible relatively late. The rooms are ok. However, the night was not pleasant. The walls are very noisy, so you get a lot of voices and sounds from the other rooms and from the hall.
A dividing place. It requires a lot of refurbishment. In the morning while I was still sleeping, cleaning ladies landed in the room.
After staying here it has really set a benchmark for hostel/ hotels for me. Staff were very helpful and the facilities were great. A few minutes from the train and light rail stops. I enjoyed the onsite bar and restaurant, while also making use of the laundromat.

The heater turns cold. It is located in a slum because it is next to the main road. The workroom and small walking area to see the installation works in the hotel is unusual.The hall has a waiting area and the staff is very friendly.
Very good, at first the location seems bad. But it is next to the train station. And you are immediately in any tourist point or shopping.
In front there are two clubs. It has a swimming pool, sauna. It eats well. And includes a free breakfast with everything. From eggs and bacon, to fruit. Very happy. I recommend.
Great location. Very central, close to the the U and S bahn. The problem is the noise. You can heard the u bahn, since the station is only a few meters away and there are several bars and discos close by. I could hear the music until 8h in the morning. Since the building is under renovation, Monday morning after the music stopped, the noise front he construction started. So if you want to sleep don't go there. The accommodations are super basic. The bathroom had no air circulation, the beds had screws missing and shaked all over. The swimming pool was closed, and the entrance was blocked some yellow tape. The bar service is terrible, only pretty girls interested in flerting are served. It's not the dirtiest hostel I've been to. But I would not go back. The pictures from their website and the reviews really fooled me.
The rooms were lacking in amenities, and they were small. Wall plugs are impossible to use because they are so deep. However, the breakfast was very good value and the staff were very nice. Lovely pool and common room. If you are looking for a cheap stay this is the place.

Price is okay. The pool is a welcome change in lousy weather. In the in-house restaurant we wanted to consume twice, but everytime we got up, because we knew better and there are more in the immediate area for less money.
Since the hotel is part of a hostel, it was very noisy until midnight.

It is very fast and very easy in this large building, the beds in the hostel are very uncomfortable and have a few spots. Unfortunately, it was very stunk in our bathroom after chlorine.

We stayed at the Berlin Hostel for 5 nights and overall the experience was very good. The location of the hostel is excellent, the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. If the review was based just on our stay I would rate it with 5 stars. The reason why I'm giving it only two starts is the complete lack of security when it comes to personal information. I booked the stay with my credit card using a secure online form. My card expired prior to us staying there. The reservation team contacted me by email to provide them with the new card or threatened me to cancel the cancellation. I asked them to call me or provide a secure way for me to share my credit card details. They refused and insisted I have to provide the card details via EMAIL! Multiple emails after, each of them responded to by a different person, requesting a call back I was just told that either I share the card details by email OR we won't be able to stay. It's against their policy to take card details by phone but email is fine. My concern about security, encryption etc were ignored. I have asked to speak to the manager (refused), for them to call me (refused), to provide me with a secure way of sharing my details (refused). Their response was simply: f you can give your credit card details online, there is no reason why you couldn t give it to us. If we don t hear from you within the next 12 hours, we will cancel your reservation.

Wonderful accommodation. We stayed in the hotel part and the room was very large, clean and with a totally new bathroom. The place offers many services and has many common places to be. We dined one night in the restaurant, which was an Italian menu, it was very good and at an affordable price. The days that we stayed we paid the breakfast buffet and it was very complete, yes, 7 seemed excessive because I do not eat as much to amortize the price. Finally, mention the great attention at reception and how fabulous it was that the vast majority spoke Spanish. Place to which I would return without hesitation!
Frankly it's a nice hostel, good location, small pool, small living area, people are very friendly and it is always busy. A beautiful place of life!

The rooms were ok but the breakfast was the bottom drawer. A sort of rolls and a sort of toast (there was not even a toaster!) Then there was only one sort of ham, salami and cheese. In addition the milk was partly sour or the coffee was cold.
The best hostel in Berlin. Increadible value for money although pool needs renovation and there are worms sometimes in the sauna :D
