Great theme park for the kids. Food outlets could be better but all in all a good day out
Great theme park for the kids. Food outlets could be better but all in all a good day out
So kid friendly my daughter had a great time & so did we as parents
Very poor experience, hardly anything was open alot of ride photos was not working and there was 2 members of staff very rude.
Never liked this place to overpriced and most things was not even open in the park till later in the day really poor won't be going again!
Has different half term to Essex so closed when we went
Weather was bad so we only stayed an hour because my child has special needs and couldn't cope with the queue but the staff were very understanding and moved our tickets to another day
Great day out for younger kids. Not much for adults and older children. Only negative is the low quality food and what they charge for it. Take a pack lunch for sure..
Had a great time with the family. Majority of the rides are aimed at ages 5-12. Older kids will get bored and little toddlers will be disappointed.
Pretty good, some rides closed tho and took ages to get in!
Massive and get in early it gets packed. Spacious and young child friendly
It's alright, food is expensive so bring something will save you a lot of money. It's fairly pricey to get in considering what's there. Also some of it looks dated. But the rides are still fun
I have fond memories of Pleasurewood Hills as a kid and so after many years we went back with our kids. We had a great day out there but I felt it was a bit of a shame to see how tired the place is now looking.
Was ok, good for kids. Some of the rides are shut which were annoying.
Most of the rides were closed or barely operatable because of lack of staff, also due to this there were large ques
Enjoyed the visit, little disappointed as it seems a little run down ( few areas where old broken equipment was dumped. (Seen when riding around on the train))The shows was amazing and entertaining.
We couldn't be any happier with our recent trip to Pleasurewood Hills. The wait times were almost non existent, and the park was very well presented. If you manage to find an offer for tickets that's even better
A great family day, rides for all ages and no queues to speak of. Recent investment and development really showed for 2017
The kids, and big kids live coming here, it's the closest theme park to home. It's great they have rides that even my 16 month old can go on. Would love if they did spectator prices/wrist bands as I won't go in anything and do begrudge paying full price to get in!
An almost queue free day at this small family friendly theme park.
Great fun for all the family and good for little ones too! Even on busy days the line for rides are short.
Great day out... A lot of queuing but it is what it is
Great place just a shame rides are not open later. Shows are excellent
Perfect for children of all ages loads of shows as well as rides the kids had a wonderful time
Decent day out for the family offering a variety of rides, to reach 5* would need more big rides for the older kids
Had a great time here with my girlfriend back at the beginning of July, was very quiet as we went before most of the schools had broken up and it was a slightly damp day - however everything was running and there wasn't one queue! Will definitely go again if we're in the area!!!
A bit dated but kid's loved it. Don't waste your money on trying to win a cuddly toy it's a con the ball's are bigger than the hoops.
My last visit was 21years ago, and it looks exactly the same just very run down, they could do so much more
We had a fantastic full family day out here. Children aged 14, 12, 10 and 6 and 2 adults, all enjoyed the rides. Queued for some but not for long. Hard to find your way around without being given a map and it needs more sign posts inside to show which way to walk. Lots of extra cleaning of rides and queue spacing in place. 5pm closing time abit early, should be open until 7pm at least. ( Adventure Island in Southend is open far later)
Was just Amazing the was barely any queues for the rides amf I is just wow
Been coming to pleasurewood hills for many years and have always enjoyed my time there, and the kids love it. Although in recent years its looking a little tired. After the fan fare of hobs pit which went some way to showing some investment into the park from the newest owners, the ride turned out not to live up to the hype and only lasted a couple of years before shutting and now it's rooting tooting shooting, a laser shooting boat ride. Also the rattle snake suddenly shut around three years ago, no mention why but you can still see it rusting away behind the boards there are also a couple of other rides that have disappeared without being replaced. This year's newest addition is an indoor ball pit and play area converted from the old restaurant and BBQ area and I believe there is an extra charge for this! Not the sort of ride or investment the park needs.
But although these rides are missing and the park being a little tired we all had a good day and enjoy the rides that are available including the peaceful chairlift that has been taking people from one end of the park to the other for many years, and we will continue to support the park by visiting as often as we can.
I just hope that some money can be injected into the park over the next few years and something done to give it a bit of an atmosphere as its all a bit quiet with only the occasional music on some of the rides.
A great day out for the family but can get very busy.
Recommend going early on in the season before the schools break up
Fair priced entry. With a good variety of rides.
Free toilets. Free parking. Lockers are available to put bags in, only a couple of pounds to rent for the day.
Food outlets are expensive, so I recommend bringing a picnic.
This was my first visit in about 30 years and I couldn t believe how run down and dirty everything has become. Access for disabled people is a real problem. Walking around the park was like visiting a ghost town with all the closed and rotting rides. The few newer rides had no landscaping or theming around them and it just seemed as though the were just dumped off the back of a lorry and plugged in. There are a number of broken change machines in the arcade and it seems as though the same machines are still there 30 years on. The food from the only open restaurant was below average for a theme park and don t expect to receive exactly what you ordered. The only reason I would consider going back to the park would be to see the sea lion and seal show, even though there is only one sea lion and one seal it s still a great show.
Fantastic! Great value for money and the rides are all bearable! Avoid the Marble Madness though - very harsh ride.
A decent, developing Theme Park. I highly recommend going there for the value for money.
Guaranteed enjoyable day out but need to check dates prior to visiting as not open every day, greenery is usually withered and therefore doesn't look visually pleasing when walking around, some rides have been here for many years and need updating but are still enjoyable nonetheless. Water rides are always the go to whenever we've visited especially the huge raft slide. Many benches located around to eat at with bins nearby yet always seems to be an overload of litter in certain places. Gift shop is slightly overpriced for the quality of products but they're not the worst so still worth buying if it's for sentimental purposes
Went yesterday and most of the rides had broken down and 2 whilst we was on them. Although the dive show on the other hand was AMAZING!!!!!!!
It s changed A LOT since I last went 4 yrs ago and there is hardly anything there now, was actually disappointed, as had my daughters b/f with us and hyped it up so much that it was exciting to go but then got there and it was empty.
Pretty good for a theme park. Not too expensive and not a lot of waiting time in class A rider . All in all worth a visit.
Fun amusement park for the smallest and the older children. Many attractions are visibly old. Nice day out.
Great for small children, a little bit dated and could do with a coat of paint however our little one who is over 90cm loved it.
Don't bother wasting your money! And if you do have a complaint make sure you inform them on the day or they do not want to know!
Honestly save your money and go to the pleasurebeach or any where but here!
CHECK US OUT @ THEME PARK DAYZ .We are a youtube chanel and travel to lots of different theme parks across the country. Pleasurewood Hills is my childhood favourite. So we came and we filmed around the park and rides all day. The staff where amazing. The rides where amazing, as was the day. The Egg spress was brilliant , my first time on the new and very much improved coaster. All in all, we had an extremely fantastic day and can not wait to re-visit again very soon. Extra bonus. We got to meet the cuddly woody to.
Fine, quite expensive for how big it is. Food options are terrible, can't get anything healthy. Would recommend taking own picnic. Free parking is good
Great! Wonderful day out. Pity there is nowhere to fill water bottles though.
It was an ok day, however the place could do with a revamp. Some rides weren't working. Food expensive. But good if you're a local.
Great place, everything a normal theme park has except the queues! Had some good rides including a proper roller coaster with loops, swinging ship and many things for smaller children.
Expensive and rip off need new rides and food n drink expensive and never go there again
Pleasure wood hills has become tired and worn out looking. Half of it is always shut or poorly staffed. Don't get me wrong it's still a good day out but they need to reduce the price you pay to get in as it's no where near as good as it was. I have been coming here since I was 7, I'm 45 now and bring my own kids now but I only go if I have a special offer. I won't pay full price.
Ok, seems a bit run-down. Take a packed lunch. Food is extortionate and not great.
Overall not bad. However the entire site seems in dire need of a good clean, repair and repainting.
Brings back memories when I used to take my family there
Visited the park today with my partner and the kids, got through the que quickly enough, staff where polite however not much for a toddler todo/go on but i can excuss this a theme parks are not really made for them.
Firstly i was standing at the service window inside the restaurant for over 5mins before i was told that they only take orders on the outside counter then i had to wait over 30mins just to place my order and realised that near enough all of the food was already cooked waiting under heat lamps and the wait was purely down to the staff having no urgency in serving the customers as they continued to joke around with a cue of atleast 20 people.
Then when we finally got our food and sat down it was bearley edible as it would have been better quility cooking birds eye products at home.
The only reason i didn't complain then is due to how long we had already spent waiting, this isn't the first time i have experienced this as when i lasted visited it was a simular situation.
The park it a good family day out but completely let down by the restaurant service and food.
Looking a bit tired and unchanhed but the kids loved it and there were no queues for the rides
wish I had longer to go back again when all the rides got fix,4 questions I waiting in and all broken down so didn't get on much at all waste of money
A fun experience. I just wish they would put a little effort in to making the place look neater
Very good value for money. Most staff very friendly but a few made it really clear they didn't want to be there. Such a shame.
Clean and enough rides for all. Some things not working due to weather and technical issues but over all OK.
Great place for families and young kids with a few rides for older kids. Good value for money for a day out.
Lovely day out, lots for kids to do. Queues not too bad.
Fun for the kids, but looking very dated. Needs some improvement to be as good as Alton Towers, Thorpe Park etc, but then isn't quite as expensive either!
Rides were either closed, broke down, running half full or having a test run, not disabled friendly, curbs and steps to nearly all shops and amusements, disabled parking is on gravel... GRAVEL !!
Hadn't heard of until a visit to the area. Pleasantly surprised!
Always a good day out. The queues were short around the park, but the e trance was a joke. Other than that little niggle, super family fun day out.
Rides ok mostly height restricted.. Food terrible ..cold and overpriced.. Take your own
A bit disappointing, park looks like it needs some TLC
More kids rides than older people rides the high dive was amazing would go there again
very good although a few rides were closed
The staff were very friendly and helpful
The parrot and sea lion shows were really good aswell
Went to PWH Bank Holiday Monday 4 adults to two 3 year olds. The last time I went to PWH was back in the 1990's. What can I say... nothing has changed. Clearly the money to get in does not go towards upkeep of the grounds, buildings or More
Good weather makes a big difference to such places. It's a bit shabby generally, but get a sunny day and it's a great family day out.
