Playland's Castaway Cove Review

The tickets were alittle Expensive but awsome for a little park.

Love that you can get very discounted tickets in the spring online and that the tickets never expire. You can go with toddlers to teens and there are rides for all of them. A great way to spend an evening!

Place is great but the rides are way too expensive. At $1 a ticket and most rides at 6 tickets per rider, that s $6 per ride per person. Way too expensive.

This is a great place for a wonderful family fun day, weekend, or week to vaca. Out of the beaches I've visited in NJ, OC is the cleanest.

We always go broke here trying to dpoil grandkids..

Well I thought it was nice the first night....went back the next and half the rides my son met the height requirement for (and went on the prior night) apparently he could no longer ride because of an age requirement that s posted on a sign (which again wasn t an issue the night before). Spoke with a manager and he was about as useful as a three dollar bill. Said he would remind the staff so it didn t happen again (um can you remind the cashier to refund my $300 I spent over two days). The worst part though was seeing the disappointment on my sons face - which no amount could rectify.

Way more "family" fun than the other shore resorts!

Wish the game were like board was all games and not arcades

Clean, nice variety of rides, friendly staff. Rides can be expensive but in line with other boardwalk rides

My family and I love this place. We have been coming here for several years now. It's always clean and we'll staffed but most importantly they keep updating and changing the rides and attractions.
For example they just recently added a new rollercoaster. Can't wait to ride it. All this on a great Boardwalk and literally steps from the beach. We will definitely be coming back again and again.

Decided to come down for the day. So glad we did! Not crowded. Kids are happy! They made some renovations and seems to have more space when walking around!

Not only was Playland my first job but it has been a part of my life since I was about 12 years old! I love seeing the changes through the years and I have to say this is the best the park has ever been.

Scott Simpson has taken his Father's park and vision for family fun and taken it to the next and highest level.

I suggest everyone come to Playland castaway cove and bring the kids!

Very crowded during the summer but has some great rides.

Good clean and fun place for a weekend getaway. This is mainly for kids but adults can enjoy for sure too. You need to get coupons for rides with each ride ranging from 2-5 coupons. There is a ferris wheel that gives a pretty nice view of the area. The boardwalk, the ocean, this play area and all the stalls and people around make for a merry weekend!

Need some spook houses or drive through's for adults, just kiddie rides

Gets crowded but always a good time. If you prefer less crowd get there before the after-dinner primetime rush during Vaca season

Fun, but jam packed with rides, games, food and more in a small footprint. Overall very clean and organized.

We have been Wonderland Pier patrons for 30 years, but the pricing and ride options at Castaway Cove made it easy to switch. See you next season!

Nostalgic, old school carnival feel

One of the few amusement parks along the boardwalk. In my opinion, probably the only one with lots of people and a few more exciting rides than the other parks I visited. They definitely make the most of the space they have, with a collection of nauseating spinning rides and more kid-friendly rides (and an expensive roller coaster). Tickets are a bit pricey, and the rides themselves are definitely aging. The park is geared towards younger families. Young adults won't find much here to enjoy.

Better than wonderland, but pretty crowded on a Thursday night!

Good variety of amusement rides for children of all ages - on the boardwalk and near restaurants. They have a new roller coaster, but wasn't open when I visited last week - but looks awesome!

One of the best places ever! I rate it four because it was a little crowded and dirty, but everything else was perfect. Got the best rides, good food, and really nice people.^^

Followed safety regulations! Hand sanitizer before and after rides. Impressed! Enforced mask to enter.

Small theme park on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Tightly compacted which makes social distancing hard. Half the rides are closed currently, either due to the season, covid,or the bad fire. Anyway, it's a decent park for young kids. 3 stars because we were scared to catch covid there. They tried though.

Tons of fun. The 220 ticket book lasted my kids 6 hours! That was with my husband taking them on a few. Good selection of rides. Would definitely go again.

Well priced rides. Nice staff, very clean and very family friendly. Buy ticket during Christmas or Easter sales, good discount and they never expire.

Always a great time. Double shot is a personal favorite. The Gale Force looks pretty scary, and I may have tried it... until they said the track was having work done. They should have more roller coasters for kids ages maybe 10-13, but I'm glad they added the Wild Waves, it solved that problem a bit. The view on the Double Shot at night is amazing, especially facing away from the ocean or towards Atlantic City. Facing away from the ocean gives you a beautiful view of the bridge at night.

Went to spend the evening with family. The kids had a great time on all the rides. Plenty of junk food to eat.

GOOD! Gillian's is better but Castaway Cove is cool too. The Log Flume and Riptide are my favorite.

A jewel of the Jersey Shore. It's truly a clean safe family atmosphere.

Awesome rides, very fun. We like to go multiple times every year. People say that the tickets are expensive, but if they were not expensive they wouldn t have these nice rides!

I really enjoy this park. The staff is nice, they have an amazing variety of attractions (though more children attractions are at Gillians wonderland, which is not far away), and overall, a nice place. The only problem is that the cleanliness sucks.

Kids loved it..even my 1 yr old after she musterd up enough courage to go down the baby slides

Fun arcade on the Ocean City boardwalk. Clean but cramped layout. All the games worked when we went there. Lots of rides in the back, but we never left the arcade.

Very disappointed. Attendents did not wipe rides after each ride was completed. Too many people.
