Platte River Bar and Grill Reviews

To my surprise only the wait staff had masks on and there was no encouragement or expectation of social distancing at all. I couldn t wait to get out of there! It wasn t worth the risk.

First time there with my wife and I. Staff were friendly with smiles and great attitude. We saw this from hostess, waitress and other employees in view. Our waitress was knowledgeable and full of positive vibes. When needing refills or extra sauce, she was very quick on returning to our table. Great quality service.
We tried the mini rellenos, shredded taco special and jalapeno cream cheese burger with tots. All the food was hot, right size portions, and delicious.
Lots of room inside, and outside. We will be back for the food and look forward to see the live music on the weekends.

Love the patio on a nice day. Go there for the drinks and patio. Not the food.

Good bar and grill with good environment and friendly service

Saw Mo Pitney here last night 8/22 and enjoyed him and his band. I thought for sure it would ve been sold out but there was room for more people. Kristen was a fine waitress and we appreciated her with a nice tip

Came here for and office lunch on Monday. We sat outside near where the "stage" is and had about 12 people which, for some reason, we crammed into three tables.

What I found hilarious is that we had a single waiter servicing our table while many other waiters were standing around looking board and yet, ours looked a little overwhelmed.

So, let's see: I ordered the jalapeno/cream cheese burger on suggestion from the waiter. I really wanted the fish tacos but was underwhelmed when I discovered they didn't come with the same accouterments as the generic soft tacos. Namely, I wanted the pico, guacamole and refried beans that came standard on the tacos - unless you wanted fish.

The burger was "meh" at best. The fries weren't much better. I really couldn't believe that burger (with fries) cost $12. In fact, everything on the menu was ridiculously overpriced in my opinion. I could have bought a better burger at Goodtimes or even Carl's Jr for half the cost and a much better taco at a local Mexican place.

Luckily the company was buying.

Even though it seemed like we had a lack of people attending our party the service was actually quite nice. The waiter was attentive and our food didn't take long to arrive.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice, especially on their grand patio. It reminded me of the open-air beach side restaurants in vacation destinations.

The big question is: would I return?

Meh. Only if someone else wants to buy. I'm personally not going to spend my money there.

Our server Tony always finds us a great table on the deck, with excellent menu suggestions.

Usually love hanging out in the deck. But tonight I had to pay twice for 8 wings and 3 beers equaled $50 plus $'s with one tip that I gave to the deck server a tip of way more then 20%on. Then when I explained to the bartender that I paid for both beers &wings outside on the deck she told me she would have the manger check. After going to have them check it she came back to say I would have to come back the next day. According to her it would take hours for them to figure it out. Well I'm not coming back ever and will find someone who can figure out I'll pay what I owe without a doubt until I pay once and then be asked to pay a second time only to be told I'll have to come back the next day to have management straighten out out!!! By the way I send way more then most customer's do in a year when I find a great bar & grill pub! That's not to mention the usual 30% tips which there original server got

Liked the bar in the way back, away from the crowd. .. seems like a good location

This place has great outdoor seating to listen to the live bands. You can choose to sit close to the noise or further away in a more quiet spot. They also have a decent selection of local craft brews.

Love sitting on the patio! Delicious mini chili rellenos, and the staff are the best

Best marguerita in Denver! Deck is the best also! Food - stick with the tacos al carbon. YUM! And the only guacamole worth it.

Fun atmosphere, good food and drinks and the back patio is a great hangout. Especially with the bands playing. Good pitstop when you're floating the river too! Only complaint is the motorcycle parking is down out back. Kind of a blind ramp and have to drive uphill when you leave. Not bad, but just a personal observation.

In and out in fifteen minutes. The service was amazing and the food came out quick and was what was expected. Will definitely be back. they had a lot of sports playing on page flat screens

The food is really good. The service is timely. The drinks are made very well. Lunch or dinner, you won't go away hungry. To top it off, the service is fantastic.

Usually like this place but tonight was different. $0.50 Wing Wednesday, doesn't specifically say dine in only on their website, nor have I heard when I used to dine in. $70 for 32 wings, brought to my attention when I was paying at pick up. Had I known the deal is dine in only I'd have gotten wings elsewhere this time. Lady didn't seem to care one bit either.

Been hearing about this place for years. Now that we're finally here all I can say is that it's mediocre at best. Ordered bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce cooked medium. No BBQ sauce and WAY overcooked. Poor beer list. Tots tasted bad thanks to very old grease. Only saving grace was the sweet server and the hot sauce.

ALWAYS a great time! Food is delicious, big wonderful margs, fun staff, incredible ambience inside and out. Terrific live music, sports on TVs everywhere, accommodating reunion or reception site!

Don't go during a Broncos game! The food and service was good, but we had to yell at each other the whole time. Besides that mistake, would definitely recommend.

I would recommend this bar to individuals who are looking for a relax place to "kick their feet up." Grab a drink, order a starter and enjoy the live music and an excellent patio, deck.

This bar gets a two from me simply for the awful, unfresh food, and sloppy staff.

At first glance this bar and grill is fun and friendly. Thursday night at 9:30pm, live music played while many individuals sat inside playing poker, drinking beer and eating food.

The wood building made for a pleasant visual enviroment, and the open spacious deck is definetly one of the best in town.

Staff seemed playful, relaxed, but slightly careless. Hygiene and cleanliness of this bar are fair, and the food reflects this.

I ordered a mexican dish and my husband ordered a burger. Ingredients were poor quality with an awful texture including food which seemed to be microwaved/frozen.

Good margaritas! Tony gave great fun service and the patio is one of the best I have been on.

Great local bar, with excellent service. Welcoming staff that is very helpful and friendly. This is a great place to hang with your friends for live music and food. However, do not expect this place to be excellent for your dining experience. For the most part, it is a bar and tends not to be the cleanest of places. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time!

Went to watch my friend play in his band and enjoyed a delicious salad with very friendly staff! The all around experience was great.

Stopped in for lunch today. We waited for some time to be waited on even though we were right by the bar and kitchen. Finally got water and the menu. Another wait and we ordered. Appetizers that we reminded her of came after the food. Getting a refill on tea was impossible. The burrito was the worse ever. Just salty and awful. Wait staff was having fun, dancing and singing but not doing their job. Thought it would be great to go and have a few adult beverages and enjoy music but not going to happen.

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had. Have eaten at this establishment many times pre-covid. Was trying to support small business, but I won't be back. Sat at the bar. Wasn't greeted and when we finally waved her down the "greeting" was "what do you want?" Other people at the bar were consistently being waited on but we were never checked on. Attitude was just rude. Without continuing down the list, I'll just say that I've never had such horrible service sitting at a bar anywhere. Even my service industry working friend with me was appalled.

Great Restaurant! Love the different options for seating! Fav so far is big couches by the fire! Oh they have great food as well!

Beautiful place, REALLY weak drinks. My wife and I have been sitting here watching live music and enjoying the atmosphere, but she's had 6 White Russians and . . . . . nothing. We have now resorted to ordering shots to ADD to her drinks. Very disappointing. Other than that, the food is great, the servers are awesome, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Just don't expect to get your drink on without spending a few hundred dollars.

Great place, got that old comfy feel, lots of seating, multiple levels, AWSOME FOOD! Jamie was our waitress and she ROCKS! The steak fajitas are a great plate for 2 and the Mahi tacos are awesome! Try The Cherry Bomb for a patriotic feel it s only $7! Definitely a good stop on the south Platte bike path or running down Sante Fe.
