Eugene has the most worthless City Planning office in the state.
They allow the local construction companies to do construction unblock off roads between 7 and 9 a.m. when people are trying to get to work and school... not only that, they allow the construction companies to work on three converging roads at the same time that also happen to be the ONLY access into town.
Eugene City Planning does not care about the citizens of Eugene whatsoever.
When you call their number and they don't even offer a message option.
I will be pushing very hard during the 2020 election to remove most of the folks off of the city council and push to fire those in the city planning office.
There is no reason whatsoever that a construction company cannot set up a proper detour around a construction... the fact that I have complained to the city planning office about this numerous times in the past proves that the city planning office cares not for the citizens and proves that the city planning office cares not for the citizens and but those people should not be facilitating that position.
( I also have an associate's degree in Advanced Construction And Engineering... I know what the hell I'm talking about.)
This is where people come to get various permits from the city of Eugene. Building permits for some, for others like myself, it's where we get our taxi drivers permits. It's not a fun place, but it is a lovely building.
