I used to live in 55 west Chestnut from 2011 until 2013. It was a great living experience there. Still cherish good old days of Chicago. In 2014 PPM bought Draper & Kramer and the best thing they did was to fire the old useless hags in the name of leasing managers i.e. Penny (the bedbug) and Suz (the vixen). Thankfully they retained and promoted Miss LVH and that is the secret why 55 W chestnut is still popular among current and ex-residents. However the building needs color coating and exterior decor to match the new buildings that have come up in the vicinity else it will continue to look pale in comparison. Regarding rents I believe 55 W chestnut is still very affordable for the comforts of living in the Gold Coast area although I may be wrong as I no longer live in Chicago. But 5 stars to Miss LVH for sure.

I have really enjoyed living at 1111 North Dearborn. The company is great and very accommodating to our newds. more importantly, what makes this place great are the staff. any issues I have had, have never fallen on deaf ears. It always great to start your day when leaving or end your day with a pleasant smile from our doormen. Barry and Theresa come to mind immediately and are always a pleasure to be around.

This made my move so easy. My leasing agent Bogdan was careful to present me with as many options as I could to ensure that I was happy with the result and saved the most money possible. Getting set up was easy too. Responsive, on time, and very little left up in the air prior to move in. Highly recommend.

I have been working with Spring on a virtual tour, and she has been really great and helpful. These tours make it very simple for me to get a feel of the apartment without being able to be in the room. I can not wait to move to Chicago!

Good experience for me overall. Leased an apartment at 1940 N. Lincoln Ave. for 1 yr. and the process went well. Bob worked with me to get approved and moved in quickly. Nick was always helpful with repairs as well.

Side note: I even had a package sent there by accident after I moved out and Nick was generous enough to assist with me picking up my package!

Nice buildings in a nice area. My utilities were old and crappy. Property manager for my building was rude and awful. They didn't clean the apt before my move in... and the extended hours line is non-existent for after 5pm issues...

Living at 350 W. Oakdale has been great because it has made my commute to work super easy. Having a fitness center in the building is a such a plus too! Tess was incredibly helpful and found me an awesome place. Highly recommend!

What a great experience using PPM. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Planned Property Management does a great job of engaging residents and giving great incentives like rent discounts. I really love the building i live at and Sead is the best property manager in Chicago. So nice, so helpful, so friendly. and absolutely the reson i have re-signed my lease year after year. He deserves all the credit and more!. What a great guy and a fantastic helper. I feel safe knowing he's there to help with any problems that come up. Doesn't matter what time - day or night, he's pleasand and helpful.

Boghdan was extremely helpful in helping me look for a place. He kept in regular contact and was very prompt in giving me a variety of options and sent videos so I could see them from home. Even though I didn't end up signing at one of the places he showed me I really appreciated his hard work and honesty.

The process for signing a lease went pretty smooth...

The process for signing a lease went pretty smoothly and getting viewings was fairly quick and painless. Moving day however... I was told to pick up keys the day before the Movein day. I trek to the new place and they don't have the keys.

They told me to wait till Movein day to pickup keys. Movein day comes still don't have them. We were locked outside waiting for the door to open for over an hour. Movers ended up costing me a few hundred extra because of this.

Total bait and switch, no communication. First of all, the listed rents are not the actual rents. The company asks you to buy a $80-150 utility package on top of rent, which doesn t even cover all the standard utilities. You can expect to pay $100 per month extra on top of the package. They also seem to have no internal communication. I made an appointment to see properties in a particular neighborhood. When I show up the agent wants to show me places in a different neighborhood and they have no properties to show in the place I want. It was completely disrespectful of my time. I would give zero stars if I could.

I have lived at several PPM buildings (three to be exact) from over the past 6 years and have loved the experience for many reasons. For one, the excellent customer service stands out by far, including lease renewals and maintenance requests. There was rarely something I needed that wasn t attended to within 24 hours, which cannot be overlooked. There were also great pool parties and various resident events including happy hours and workout classes, something I wouldn t have had at other companies. Although I m moving to own a place, I m sad to leave PPM, as it filled so many great years of my life. Thank you PPM for a great 6 years.

Can't help but wonder where I'd be without PPM. From the moment Christine helped me, as a walk-in, to agent showing me what would be my new home. Everything around my new apartment is so convenient. There's a Stan's Donuts, Jewel Osco, and WRIGLEY FIELD WITHIN TWO MILES!! Thanks for everything guys!

I honestly can't say enough good things about my experience with PPM. And I found them just in time- after several extremely frustrating experiences with other Chicago agencies I was about ready to throw in the towel!!

The issue I always seems to have with rental agencies is that people never seem to be willing to give me all the information I need upfront, and either withhold important info from me or, in rare cases, give me blatantly incorrect information. This was not the case at ALL with PPM. I felt way more comfortable immediately after talking to a the contact person in their office, super nice guy- he laid out everything for me very clearly from the beginning, every price point, amenity, etc. within the units I was interested in. I felt like I was in good hands, and this continued when he found a way to accommodate my bonkers schedule and get me an appointment with a leasing agent. She was top-notch and actually gave me a lot of awesome recommendations for things to do/check out in my new 'hood! My boyfriend and I are now regulars at Schoolyard Tavern, LOL!!!

Since moving in to our place on Cornelia Ave., everything has exceeded my expectations. So happy I found PPM- saved myself a LOT of frustration!!

I had the opportunity to work with Grant Harrison, a PPM leasing consultant. I had a sudden change with my living situation which forced me to relocate and Grant did an amazing job of finding us a place on such short notice at 1111 N. Dearborn. I was impressed by how quick and easy the leasing and move-in process was for us. It's in a perfect location close to everything! We love our new place and would recommend it to other renters. Thank you Mr. Harrison!

I had a lot of anxiety about moving. I had lived at home for several years and the idea of paying rent for an apartment owned by a potential slumlord was stressful. However, Bogdan was my leasing agent at PPM and super helpful. He showed me several apartments, followed up to my texts and emails promptly, and was incredibly genuine. Just so you know, Bogdan continued working with me even after I signed my lease....which is remarkable considering how many questions I had. After I signed my lease, Bogdan even took pics of the apartment for me. The building manager (Ozzie) is super responsive, helpful, and just a nice guy. I really like my apartment and have really lucked out with the space, location and price. I highly recommend working PPM and especially with Bogdan.

The next thing that I post will be the folder of images that show emails that I got no response to, and texts from your building maintenance apologizing for not "notifying" me of entering my apartment on MULTIPLE occasions.

My name is Ayana Love. I am currently a tenant at 515 w Barry Ave in Lakeview residency. This property is headed by PPM management company. I pay on time ALL THE TIME, I have been a resident here since May of last year. Since I arrived, my experience has been horrible to say the very least. We had no assistance from building maintenance which made moving in rough when it came to information needed. I wasn't programmed into my call box until 8 months into my lease. I have been put in some uncomfortable situations when it comes to how things have been handled by PPM. Accordingly, to state law my rent agreement was broken by PPM as maintenance entered my apartment multiple times and nothing was done to resolve the issue. NO acknowledgement to my concerns for my safety and as a black woman this is disheartening. I have hired representation via tenants rights and they refuse to let me out of my lease despite all clear communication and evidence. After doing all that I can on my own I am finally reaching out in an attempt to report out the blatant disrespect, negligence and bad business that is being practiced. My goal is to not shut down PPM of course, but to hold large entities accountable to the standards for housing in what is an elite city. I have reached out to every local news station I can find in this city so after no acknowledge in my attempts to rectify this privately. Here we are unfortunately.
After being advised by the housing department of Chicago and tenants rights that I have been violated and all evidence points to clear negligence, I ask myself if I were of another ethnicity would this be the same issue when a tenant reports that privacy has been violated multiple times? I am an outstanding tenant and if this is how they treat their great tenants then I'd hate to see what is done to a person who feels they have no voice. You can't just take advantage of people and hold people to "contract" when they have broken it and still expect to accept their hard earned money while in a PANDEMIC.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get a head start on finding a new apartment for November so we started with PPM. We worked with Darius and he had taken us to see 4 different apartments. The process was simple and Darius was able to answer any questions we had. He was always upfront and honest which we both appreciated. We had such a great experience with PPM we ended up signing at the first apartment we saw at 3130 N Lakeshore that same day! We move in November 1st and can t wait!

The properties are so beautiful and so well-kept. My new place in Chicago has met my needs to a T and my agent helped tremendously with this. Bravo to her and the rest of the PPM staff.

Moving to Chicago from a smaller city can be a tough task, but PPM made it super easy. They took the time to find me the perfect apartment and if not for a job transfer I would surely be renewing my lease at 1133 N Dearborn! I lived there for two years and enjoyed every moment of it. I have been a tenant in one of Planned Property Managements buildings (55 W Chestnut) for close to a year now. I love my apartment! The manager Laura responds to any questions or concerns with care and is extremely helpful. Maintenance has taken care of all my requests very quickly and the door staff are great, they even remember my name. The party room is really nice along with the workout room. It has a huge patio as well. I will definitely be resigning my lease.

I have being living in a PPM building in Lakeview for about 10 month and I love my apartment. My leasing agent Bogdan helped me throughout the apartment search process making sure we found the right place for me and we did it. I will recommend Bogdan to anybody! He is knowledgeable, fun and professional. He always answer right away when I have questions even after I moved in. If you re looking for a new apartment PPM is the right place to go.

Planned Property Management is very responsive to my emails and great at follow up. I can't explain how great the agent was, very attentive and helpful. I was a bit nervous due to my personal situation but he never passed judgement and was straight forward and polite with his answers and now i am sitting in my rental apartment in one of PPM buildings and am as happy as one can be.

I recently moved to Chicago and found a unit for Planned Properties online at 1940 North Lincoln. I very much enjoyed the apartment and the building. The apartment was very clean as well as the building. The location of the Lincoln Avenue property is an excellent area as it is really close to Lincoln Park and the Sedgwick Brown line station. Lincoln also has free street parking so it was really nice to be able to park my car near my apartment. Bogdan was my landlord and he was very kind and helpful in getting my apartment ready for me. Unfortunately, I am moving away from Chicago, however if I were to come back to Chicago, I would definitely come back to Planned Properties.

My wife and I lived at 1000 N. LaSalle under PPM management. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The head of maintenance lived down the hall from us and had lived there for 20+ years so he had a vested interested in keeping the building in tip-top shape as well as responding to requests within 24-48 hours. The front desk staff (the ones who stayed longer than a few months) were exceptional and responsive. If you're looking for a professional, caring, and high-quality experience, rent with PPM.

I am writing this in retrospect after living with CLK Management for a year, which has been a terrible experience. I wish we could go back to PPM!
