Pretty loud and a little pricey, but the food I had was good, there is tons of fun stuff for people of any age, and there are great beers on tap.

Plenty beer choices. Check couch before seating as you could get wet. Friendly stuff.

Well it started out amazing. Bar Tender was awesome, got my food fast and a nice drink. We started with Blood Orange Wings and Plank Fries and my family took them down quick. Then I ordered more, plus some water for my kids who were playing in the play area outside. After asking 3 times, still no water and the pizza came out cold.

Really poor spirits on new years. Closed all the games early and didn't warn buyers of imminent closing.

Great place in Jack London Square: Bowling, Arcade, plus an outside Bocce Court. Their food is pretty good for a bowling place, with many cocktails, wine, beer options. From Salads to Tacos, and the expected Wings, Burgers and Sandwiches you will definitely find something to eat. Great service too.

I ve been sitting here for 45 minutes trying to get help with the arcade machine that ate my daughters card. No help. Huge loss of money. Huge loss of time. Prior to this it took over a half and hour or more to get service for food. Food that was massively overpriced and downright cafeteria. Rude, awful customer service. So awful. What a massive disappointment to me and my children.

Bowling on Friday and Saturday night is absolutely outrageous but it's a great place. Staff is almost always on point.

Great outdoor bar! You can t beat the location. Good spot to sit back, relax, and people watch. I can t speak to the bowling, bocce, or arcade. I just had a couple beers and appetizers. Dry rub chicken wings were delicious. Beer selection is very good. Service was great. I ll be back for more wings next time I m in Oakland!

I normally don't feel obligated to review, but I had to share my horrible experience. This place has a great concept, bowling, games and food all in one place. However it is highly over priced to play games and the food service is horrible. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it took a hour to get our food. When we asked for plates and silverware we were told they ran out, so instead they gave us extra napkins??? Not worth coming here and spending my money. Will never come back again, a huge disappointment.

Not that many people than I expected, and didn t enjoy the service that much.

Good service and food was as expected in an entertainment establishment like this. Nothing great but tasty. My two complaints are the music that was being pumped through the speakers in the outdoor dining area was too loud. It was tough to have a conversation. Complaint two was the smell of the men's restroom. Time to rip out the subfloor, replace and re-tile.

A pleasant off beat place. They have a video arcade, bowling alley, nice outdoor dining and nice indoor dining. As would be expected this place is not a good place for a quiet dinner!! The staff is very nice. We were there during fanfest so it was extremely busy yet the staff hustled and smiled through it all

The beer was good, wings are ok, we got the habanero sauce and they were not spicy at all...disappointed. Pizza is decent but not delicious. Not very satisfied with server customer service.

Great selection of draft beer. Back patio is beautiful and full of room. Awesome spot to enjoy watching your favorite sport on tv or to hang out in the summer for large parties.

Fun place to grab beer and food. Great games like bowling and bocce ball to play. Service is sometimes spotty.

Underwhelmed by the service and food quality. However, I was there late, so I'll probably give it another shot. Good bar and beer selection. Bowling and bocce are always fun though.

Good beers, fun games and upscale bar food. Huge outdoor patio with cornhole and bocce ball, and lots of Hester's for cooler nights.

Outside fire pits are a plus...the service is lacking though

Tip: if outside bar neglects you, remember, there is a bar inside with no lines. Amazing space, good food drinks, but outside bar service is pretty terrible. Pretty awesome live music.

Plank is a fun venue with very good food, but it gets a couple of dings for slow service (after messing up our order) and the fact that our table was drenched with water when we arrived. It's also quite loud, but that's not a big deal if you go in prepared for it.

Cool spot. There's something for everyone here. Outdoor games, video games, bowling and beer. How could you not like this place!

I really enjoy Plank. Good food and drink plus a nice patio when the weather is nice.

Sat outside on Saturday at Noon. Lots of trees for shade on a warm day. But indoor seating is also available near the bowling lanes. There s even an outdoor playground for the kids.

Looked at the menus. There are tons of outdoor seating to enjoy the nice Oakland weather next to the bay here at Jack London Square. The tables are spread out if you want to be private and some are grouped together if you have a desire for big crowds.

After a few minutes a nice person came and patiently took our orders. Not an expert on beer so didn t know which beer was an Amber. But that s what friends are for, right?

Bocce ball courts outside for fun. Play a few games with your friends.

Food is a mix of healthy options like salads or Brussels sprouts, pizza, Mexican, ribs, fish and chips, stroganoff, burgers, and sandwiches.

Plank has a great atmosphere and good food paired with decent drinks, service varies, I'm sure today was busy given it was Sunday.

Everyone was so kind and fun. I love the outside bartender.

Cool place and great concept. Went on a Friday at 6pm and service was spotty. Server should have had less tables. Bbq pizza was pretty good and lots of different things to do. Nice seating outside close to the water.

We went to Plank to go bowling. Although the seating arraignment is off and really difficult to move around unless you just over/through the couches, it was still a great experience and turns into 21+ bowling after 8:30.

Nice place to play. Children friendly outdoor activities and helpful staff. However, DO NOT ORDER FOOD TO GO. I did and paid a pretty penny for my meals but didn't get all that was listed on the menu. Not nice to find out after the fact.

Cool bar and bowling alley in Jack London Square in Oakland's waterfront. Warm service. Fantastic veggie burger (fries tasted like they'd say for a while, but still a good meal).

Great beer selection. The outdoor bar was heated on a chilly day. Definitely worth a visit.

Fun place to bowl and play games with the family or friends. We came here twice during Oct for my sons' birthdays. Food is just ok.

This is my absolute favorite place. Especially when my friends comein from out of town and they want to be entertained. Plus you can take a nice walk to the water and look at the scenery. It's beautiful

Food was pretty tasty. Anything that needed to be crunchy was certainly crunchy. Had the nachos, pizza, and burger. Service can be a little slow, but the staff were nice enough.

Fun and loud bring the kids till 9 counter people are super nice

Huge space for fun! Drinks, food, bowling, bocce, arcade, and great outdoor space with sofas and fire pits. Everyone I come here it's a good time.

So here's the thing, I get there sit at the bar (outside), and sat......sat......announcers says last call for food...I......sat.....sat...announcer again says last call for food.....I again...sat some more.... Now, there are 3 bartenders not one came over to see if I wanted something to drink, or if I wanted some food. And the only reason why I gave the place a two..... Everyone else was having fun bowling. I try not to write bad reviews, but this was justified. Basically Planks suck in customer awareness. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion.

Service was ok staff was friendly. Food came quick but after we got our food we never saw the staff again. Asked for more water to drink several times without getting any. Then it took over 20 minutes to get the check and after 10 more minutes we just left without getting any change back.

Service can be hit or miss. Fun for groups great to watch sport events.

Had a corporate event in the very large private room with 2 pool tables a large bar and about 6 bowling lanes. I'm sure the room can fit about 300 people! I'm sure our company will use that space again.

Saturdays at plank is the best time because the outside festive environment, God music, good people all around, great vibe!

This a cool spot at Jack London square . My favorite is sitting on the patio with my dog drinking a 20 oz draft

Had a great time bowling with my co worker's/friends.

Save 2 hours of your life! Food was good and busboy was nice. Getting a seat was fast. Here is the bad.
1. Took 30 minutes for someone to take our order.
2. Wrong drinks. When fixed it was made wrong. 30 minutes.
3. Food was wrong order.
4. Took 45 minutes to get the check. Asked 3 serves and asked our own server twice.
5. Neighboring diners started yelling asking if anyone works here and the other walked off. Glad they did because it was then and only then a manager showed up. We took the opportunity to finally ask for our check and actually get it.

Normally this place would have got a 5 for me but came to see the Warrior game and they barely have a tee aff at bar, limited food options. But outdoor area is amazing!! I would like to come out here sometime when it is less packed.

The best thing about this place is that it's on the water front. Everything else about this place is a straight 3 star. The food, the beer and especially the service. This isn't just a Covid thing either, ever since this place opened it's been mediocre at best. The location and outside dining would make you think it was a decent spot, but unfortunately it just isn't.

It was really busy but what do you expect on a Saturday. Everything was a great price the food drinks and games. I belive for shose and to blow was 10 or 14 dollers can't beat that . you can also buy socks here for 2 doller's. Will definitely be back

Most of the staff should be retrained or replaced, but besides that its a greta place to bring family, friends and kids. Great food!
