Karnaphuli Paper Mills Limited - KPM is managed by Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Industries. It is a state-owned paper pulp and paper manufacturing company located on the banks of the Karnaphuli River in Chandraghona, Chittagong. It is the largest paper manufacturing company in Bangladesh.

This institution was nationalized after the independence of Bangladesh. The Karnaphuli Paper Mill was set up at Chandraghona based on the availability of raw material used in paper production. These mills produce white paper and brown and other colored paper.

This traditional institution is an attractive place for tourists. Here you can see all the stages of making paper from bamboo and pulpwood and can be entered here subject to permission.
