Very disappointed with France Plan international
I sponsored a young girl in Bolivia for many years. I am a grandmother and I speak Spanish well. This association is really bad.
I stopped this sponsorship when I found out that they weren't forwarding my mail and that the poor kid thought I was a man.
I find this shameful and this association has definitely disgusted me with donating.
They just think about taking money.
All I can say is that fortunately associations such as the Plan exist to help people who really need it. We should all make a small gesture to support these humanitarian organizations which are doing remarkable work. Let us love our neighbor as ourselves. And those who have more, give more. It won't stop you from living, on the contrary, you will feel much better for having done something useful, something for someone other than yourself.

I was very touched to receive a letter from my godson a few weeks ago, and happy to be able to write to him easily in return. I look forward to giving him gifts and visiting him in Senegal.
I think that sponsorship is a rich and unique human experience that promotes intercultural exchanges, openness and civic engagement. By sponsoring a child, we (godmothers and godparents) contribute to improving the living conditions of this child and of his entire community.
For my sponsorship, I fully trust Plan International France which is a transparent organization (access to annual accounts, activity reports, Don in Confidence label, reliable partners, etc.) and which is part of a global network of 75 countries. I also feel in agreement with the values of the NGO which acts to advance children's rights and equality between girls and boys. So I highly recommend sponsorship with this organization!

We went to Cambodia to visit our goddaughter, Srehnang and her community. We visited the primary school, the kindergarten class built by plan, as well as the toilets, saw the water bottles offered by plan to filter the water of the Mekong.

For more than 20 years, my wife and I have sponsored children through Plan International France, successively a Vietnamese, a Cambodian and a Sri Lankan. During all these years we have seen the seriousness of this NGO. What attracted us in the first place was the exchange of letters, drawings and photos between us and the children. In addition, thanks to an annual report, we can follow the development of the child, his family and the community.
We were able to visit each of our goddaughters and see on site the work done by the Plan team (schools, dispensaries, etc.). Of course, the goddaughter / godfather and godmother meetings remain unforgettable. All of this is very encouraging for the children and I can only encourage them to join Plan France International.
I too am disappointed by this association. The family of the child I was sponsoring informed me that she had no help from the association Plan International, neither medical care, nor schooling of their children, nor in anything and that they were still as poor as before. I really felt like throwing 28 euros out the window every month and I stopped my sponsorship. The Association Pomme Cannelle I sponsored 2 children I really look better.
Thanks to plan international, children can go to school and have a lunch. Tax deduction. Do not hesitate to sponsor !!!

I also receive with pleasure and interest letters from my little goddaughter or her mother, but it is true that our lifestyles are so different that exchanges are a little limited ...
It's quite odd, these people send me the letters of my godchild, who lives in a country in South America, translated into English, even though I understand PERFECTLY Spanish, that I told them from the start even if I do not write it for lack of practice.
So they use people (volunteers? Paid people?) To translate the letters of the girl, which I understand perfectly though.
This is quite worrying about the use of our funds and the rigor of management that prevails!
I think that the state, through which we benefit from tax rebates for our donations, should look into the functioning of this entity.
I finish my sponsorship and I go elsewhere. I have already had other experiences with associations where it seemed to me that an accounting, financial and management rigor were in order.
It's a shame to let this kind of thing shine through, it's very clumsy, because we have few elements to judge and inevitably blunders of this kind print a lot.

Godmother at Plan International France for 16 years and always so enthusiastic, I very much appreciate this NGO and for the defended causes (children's rights and "girl-boy" equality and for the innovative means implemented to allow us a regular contact with our godchildren. Plan regularly communicates on the actions carried out in the countries and sends us a report and photos of our godchild each year. We can exchange with our godchildren either by paper correspondence or by e-mail, on a dedicated site, and faster transmitted.
What happiness then to receive a small mail and discover a little of the daily life of the child that we sponsor even if we sometimes cross paths. I sponsored 2 young girls until they came of age and a real human bond was created from a distance. I also had the chance to visit one of my goddaughters and her community in India, accompanied by volunteers in the field and it will remain a strong moment, very moving and one of my fondest memories! I was thus able to better understand the reasons for mail delivery times which sometimes seem a bit long to us but result from access difficulties in these disadvantaged and remote regions. I have been sponsoring a 10 year old girl for 1 year and hope to be able to support this dynamic and always benevolent NGO for a very long time. Do not hesitate any longer .. and be part of the Plan too ..

My little girls are struggling to talk about the living conditions of their godchildren, the village, the country and would not recognize their faces. For my part, I would take care of reminding my little girls of this obligation if it were to be established.
