My ice cream was terrible!!!! dumped it in the trash & Left
Got the Killer Sundae and it was very good. Fudge, two scoops of ice cream, caramel, marshmallow cream, nuts and a cherry.
Always a great place to stop after the beach with tasty ice cream and smiling faces
Flash back to when you were a kid. Penny candy isn't a penny anymore.
It s such a cute little shop with stuff from ice to milkshakes to soda all the way through tons of candy! The whole place is decorated with pink and flamingos. It s too cute to not see. I go there every time I go to the beach, it s a great treat at the end of a Long Beach day :)
Grey haired old lady is definitely costing them business! Just read through the reviews. Me and my family with 1 child didn't make it 2 feet through the door before she began yelling at my child for touching and picking up a blow pop that knowing my child she was about to hand to me to purchase. We left and instead bought ice cream for the whole family at a lovely store half a mile down the road. I would advise you to spend your money elsewhere. Subpar store and awful service. Im sure the ice cream reflects this as well.
Im giving this a five star cause The young lady last night sept 5th at ice cream counter was soooo nice. What a sweetie she was. She was so patient and kind. She made us feel welcome and not rushed offered us to try samples if we wanted. She was just nice
Ice cream for kids was good.
Very tasty ice cream but the price was ridiculous. It costed me just short of $10 for 2 single scoop waffle cones.
Great ice cream!! The people were super helpful. Great atmosphere!!
The lady working the counter was very nice to my kids and told us stories and helped them pick out candies. She also recommended the almond, toffee bark which is made on the island. It was to die for. The prices were fair as well, overall it was a cute little shop.
Very strange owner and not really a nice and well maintained place. The best moment was, when I left the store ...
IA great place for a quick stop for delicious ice cream or when you have a sweet tooth for some old fashioned candy
Friendly and cheerful staff and delicious ice cream! Old fashioned beachy vibe with old and new candy alike. Check it out if you're in the area!
Girl behind the counter too busy talking on the phone to even say hello let alone take our order.
Great selection of candy from years past and the kids enjoyed he ice cream. The boy working this evening was friendly and helpful.
Good ice cream (not *amazing*), friendly owner, quaint space. Owner touched face/long hair/money and served ice cream right after without washing hands, no gloves... ew
Pulled in parking lot to meet someone in public to buy a tall mirror and had all intention of getting ice cream, the owner an older woman got out of her car continuously yelled at us for parking because his truck was on the line of parking spot, keep in mind this is a small plaza and 3 other cars in parking lot including hers and about 10 open spots I told her I was meeting someone in public and then would be in as she then yells at me for not having mask on outside the truck standing completely alone as she walks into her ice cream store with no mask lol ..Needless to say her charming personality and rudeness was not going to get a dime from me after that I could have met anywhere in public but I wanted an ice cream but needless to say there is enough negative around Pinky owner just wasn't worth an addition negative moment
Pretty good, but be advised...ordered Snicker doodle ice cream, and had large chunks of nuts. Triggered allergic reaction and no one had any idea there were nuts in it. Can't go higher than 3 stars. Sorry.
Ice not favorful tasted like they add water to the cream before making ice cream
No peanut butter in my vanilla peanut butter ice cream
Very disappointing
Great quality sweets with an amazing selection of candy AND ice cream! Fun staff and friendly to talk to
Always make a trip here when I'm on vacation! I've been going there for 10 years now! Wide variety of candy and treats!!!
Horrible experience! The woman that worked there just screamed at my kids (4 and 6) because they didn t have a mask on . She threatened them that she would call the police if they wouldn t go out immediately from the store. I am just sorry that we will not step inside anymore ... we loved walking there and have ice cream! My kids were traumatized by this rude crazy person!
Walked several blocks as it was supposedly open (6:30pm on a Saturday in April). Nope. Closed. Disappointed.
Silver lining is we kept walking a few more blocks and stumbled on the Kooky Coconut which had delicious ice cream.
Cute and a great location, the ice cream is amazing and i will continue to go there often.
me and my family were taking a stroll down the street at 8:00 pm on a 65 degree night expecting to go get ice cream for the whole family!! when we arrived to the store at around 8:15 the store was closed!!! the hours on the website and written on the front door clearly state that the store closes at 10:00pm. what a disappointment!!
What a fun little shop! The kids loved choosing from the wall of candy and yummy ice cream!
The ice cream was really good, but I would never go back here on principle. The owner was training a new employee and she was incredibly rude to her. She was telling her what to do, yelling at her, and not being nice at all. It's no wonder they have a sign in the window for "Hiring ASAP", it's because nobody wants to work with this woman!
Great place to get ice cream when walking along the beach!
Ran out of ice cream. Unthinkable. Pleasant attendant, clean store variety of bottled soda and candies but no ice cream.
Horrible got ther from a mile walk on the beach at 12:40 they say they open at 12 and no one was around.... i had to very upset kids
Great ice cream, really good selection. So many candies to choose from as well.
I got the Almond Joy which was coconut flavor. Silly me! Why wasn t it called Almond Coconut? Almonds were soggy. Overall, they didn t have many flavors.
For 10 years now, we have frequented this shop while visiting each year. It s the dessert our kids always look forward to. BEWARE - hours posted online and blinking Open sign is misleading. Walked 10 blocks to purchase some ice cream. Sign was blinking open and we were frequenting during normal business hours (630p on a Tuesday). Someone was in the shop and waving to my daughter (appeared to be owner but was dark inside so not 100% certain). Tried to call and immediately to voicemail. Very frustrating. If you re not going to be open during normal business hours, please turn your sign off and post something on your door. Good chance this was our last visit.
If you re in the mood for some Charleston Chews, Turkish Taffy, Skybars or Chunky s, this is the place for you. All the fond memories of walking to the corner store as a kid for 5 cent candy bars will come rushing back to you when you walk into Pinky s and see the nostalgic candy displayed along the wall. If you re a Baby Boomer that is. If you re not, you ll still enjoy the retro candy selection and the always delicious ice cream. The servers are friendly and nice and are up for a chat if the line for ice cream isn t too long. I love Pinky s and I always bring visitors here for a sweet stop to finish off the day.
Lots of choices! We got 3 different scoops. I thought mine was maybe too sugary, but the others loved their flavors.
They have a limited selection of hard ice cream...about 10 flavors. Much of it was melty. But the FL heat must be a nightmare to deal with. The service was good. Lots of candy! A very small selection of drinks.
The almond joy ice cream was to die FOR. We will return. Yum. Yum.
Cute little ice cream shop nice to walk from the beach house! Friendly employees and the ice cream was delicious!
Good shakes and malts. Can get busy, but it's worth the wait.
Awsome service was good neat candies that I haven't seen since I was a kid must stop
Would have loved to take my family here, but apparently it is a one man show and on a busy Sunday they lock the door and leave a sign indicating they have gone to dinner.
Candy!! Typical place for candy on the beach. They have a lot of candy to choose from but they also have a ice cream bar as-well.
You can get candy and ice cream cheaper at Candy Kitchen, but it's decent enough if you're making a last minute stop for some candy or ice cream! There's a good variety, but Candy Kitchen has a vast variety and is cheaper than Pinkys.
I've got to give it to some of the Pinellas local ice cream shops - I know I've said before that Amish Creamery was my favorite but Pinky's might be better. I went there this weekend and ended up getting a peanut butter swirl milkshake. The ice cream itself tasted like a slightly sweetened milk, not too sugary at all. The peanut butter actually tasted like PEANUT butter instead of the syrups you might find at other places. I actually felt refreshed instead of heavy on that nice hot day. Will definitely visit more often now as I'm closer to this beach than the St. Pete area beaches.
good ice cream and a huge variety in candy! the young lady was really sweet and made sure I got my free topping for free topping Tuesday. it's right across from the condo we stay in every summer so this is one of the places we love walking to.
Place to go to get my double dip mint chocolate chip waffle cone fox!
Yummy, no pricier than other icecream shops, cute, good location.
Over priced ice cream with very bad selections. Customers service was really poor. Dont go here!
Nice people. Good ice cream.Good service. Too bad they dont sell coffee. It would be popular for desert and make them a few more bucks.
Rude lady serving, but ice cream was OK. Prices good.
Ice Cream wasnt anything special, but the most amazing part was when we showed the owner the freezer burn on our scoops of ice cream and her reply was "well, you can just buy another one"! Who does that? We showed her that we hadnt eaten any of the ice cream and simply asked to exchange it for the flavor, but she insisted we were lying to her and repeated "you can buy another one"...terrible customer service for mediocre ice cream.
lady working there yelled at my 5 year old for touching one of the candy toys. Really rude. Go to cooky coconut, its better
Ice cream and the shakes are delicious!! Right up there with Ben n Jerry's and haagen daz and Sloan's imo
Stopped in to get an ice cream cone. Cool little place. Enjoyed chatting w owner
The store opened at 3 and by 3:30 nobody was there to open the shop
Very clean,friendly and delicious...recommended 100%
Cute little candy and ice cream shop. Good selection of ice cream and awesome to but candy that I remember from my own childhood. Scoops were large and kids got a free lollipop with their ice cream. Cute!
The old gray hair lady in there is rude. Can t believe they cater to families with kids. Stay away. There are a couple of better ice cream shops near by with NICER people working. This lady acts like she s doing the customers a favor by being open!
Ugh. Avoid. Not worth the time or money. Hours are ridiculous. They abide by their own face mask policy. AVOID.
