Simply put, this is the "golf experience" at it's best. Carved out of a forest, every hole at Pine Valley is photo worthy. Incredible, raw and natural bunker design frames fairways and expansive, sloping greens. Generous-looking off the tee, positioning is everything. Pine Valley is seemingly always looking for ways to improve...never satisfied with being recognized as the #1 ranked course in the country/world. Charlie and his staff are accommodating to your every need...friendly, welcoming and first class. Todd operates a top-notch caddie program. And yes...they emphasize speedy pace of play! And Jose is quite possibly the finest hydration manager in the business. I think it is impossible to ever have a bad day at PV. It is golf heaven on earth.

I was lucky enough to finally see this beautiful course on the final day of the Crump Cup. What's most frustrating is that I live only 4.1 miles away from it. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to get on but I doubt it.

As a Navy Veteran if anyone ever wants to show their appreciation for my service, this would be a dream come true.

The layout is spectacular and all I could do was try to envision what club I might choose at any given distance.

This place is truly a hidden gem right in my backyard and knowing I'll probably never get the opportunity to play here is gut wrenching.

The staff that day and the volunteers couldn't have been any more pleasant. I look forward to seeing it again next year if possible.

I have played it several times with a member who also belongs to Merion G.C.
Pine Valley is like being in a cathedral, and if you are a student of the game, the course was designed by George Crump in 1927. and all trees were removed by man and mules. Lots more to say but gotta run

I didn't golf here, but I walked the grounds many years ago. There's a deep sense of peacefulness that's in profound harmony with the apparent challenge of the course. The marriage of game and nature is so perfectly balanced, it seems as if it was always that way and simply intended so, from the inception of both; and may very well be, 'til the ends of time.

I do hope to return, as it's an experience that is rare throughout the world.

Played Pine Valley during a dream golf weekend, both Merion and Pine Valley in two days. Unbelievable course. The embodiment of risk-reward golf. The brilliance of the design is the incorporation of the existing terrain. It may have been designed by George Crump but equal billing should be given to God.

An incredible piece of land with 18 amazing holes. The sounds of a flushed driver through the pine lined valley is amazing. The members and staff were so welcoming and made the experience one I will always cherish.
Snapper soup to finish was also fantastic in a beautiful clubhouse.

The ambience of Pine Valley was exceptional. While the course is difficult, it s very playable. Staying on site was a treat as well with its special order breakfasts and Turtle soup in the understated club house. The Crump Cup trophy displayed a deep history of amateur golf. Great experience

Its only open to the public once a year for the crump cup. I think. Al Cappone's old stoied hideout/mansion is across Atlantic Ave and through the wooded area before getting to the boys outside reservation lake. Nice area. Green acres

Pine Valley Golf Club is home to the world's greatest golf course, so say many golf writers and course raters. The stunningly handsome layout presents as tough a test of golf as you'll find anywhere. "Penal, uncompromising and strategic" partly describe its attributes. "Big, bold and beautiful" are also frequently ascribed.

Pine Valley Golf Club: A Premier Golfing Destination in New Jersey

If you're a golf enthusiast, then Pine Valley Golf Club is a name that needs no introduction. Located in the heart of southern New Jersey, this premier golfing destination has been attracting golfers from all over the world for over a century. With its stunning natural beauty and challenging course layout, Pine Valley is considered one of the best golf courses in the world.

The History of Pine Valley Golf Club

Pine Valley was founded in 1913 by a group of amateur golfers who wanted to create a course that would challenge even the most skilled players. The club's first president was George Crump, who designed and built the course with his partner Harry S. Colt.

Sadly, Crump passed away before he could see his masterpiece completed. However, his legacy lives on through Pine Valley's reputation as one of the most challenging and beautiful courses in existence.

Over the years, Pine Valley has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments such as The Walker Cup and The Curtis Cup. It has also been ranked as number one on Golf Digest's list of America's 100 Greatest Courses for several years running.

The Course Layout

Pine Valley's course layout is unique because it features holes that are completely different from each other. Each hole presents its own set of challenges that require precision shots and strategic thinking to overcome.

The front nine holes are known for their narrow fairways and well-placed bunkers that make it difficult to hit long drives off the tee. On the other hand, back nine holes feature wider fairways but more undulating greens which require accurate approach shots to avoid three-putting.

One thing that sets Pine Valley apart from other courses is its use of natural hazards such as sand dunes and pine trees instead of artificial ones like water hazards or bunkers filled with white sand.

Membership at Pine Valley

Becoming a member at Pine valley isn't easy; it requires an invitation from an existing member or being nominated by someone who knows you well enough to vouch for your character and love for golfing.

Once you become a member though, you'll have access to some exclusive amenities such as private locker rooms with showers and saunas; caddies who know every inch of this challenging course; fine dining options featuring locally sourced ingredients prepared by top chefs; pro shops stocked with high-end equipment brands like Titleist or Callaway among others!
