Used to be a nice traditional golf club. USED TO BE.
Now the driving range, instead of having targets and flags, looks like a junk yard for impaled scaffold boards (that also sells coffee).
From the putting green and the first tee you can hear music blaring from the clubhouse and if that isn't enough, whilst you are over your putt on 18th, your ears are assaulted by sounds that only 20 somethings appreciate.
It seems this place is trying hard NOT TO BE A GOLF CLUB. Shame.

First time at the course for a few years. It's in pretty good condition. Greens though are a bit fluffy, and like too many courses at this time, they rake the bunkers in the morning and expect the customers to look after them during the day. Get a green keeper to visit them a couple of times during the day, isn't going to cost a fortune! (But they may well say, can't do cause of the bees!)
Had coffee at the clubhouse, service OK, but both coffees not hot enough, and waiting staff need to work on their attitude.

An exceptional venue. Not only is the golf course amazing quality but absolutely anybody can play here. The atmosphere is really welcoming and the service is first rate. Aside from golf there is an excellent bar and restaurant serving a wide selection of drinks and delicious fresh food. After golf you can sit on the patio in the sunshine and enjoy the stunning views as well as the music. So much better than a stuffy traditional golf club.

I booked a table at your restaurant today and will not be returning.

I waited 50 minutes for a round of drinks to come, an hour and 15 mins for food, when arrived the food wasn t hot.
We complained to the manager on 5 different occasion and received the wrong order twice.
The table behind me who arrived 30 minutes after me had there food and drinks and were finished before our food even arrived. We were not offered a refund, discount or any complimentary drinks. No customer care.

Absolutely awful service, I will not be returning.

Used to be my favourite course but not as good as it used to be... slow play was awful.. paid for 18 and came off on the 10th due to course being so backed up.. they need marshals to get people moving.

Lovely course. Well maintained greens and fairways. Some well designed holes that offer a challenge but with short rough it's forgiving enough to be able to recover a poor tee shot.

Welcoming environment and no pretenious idiots.

One of my favourite courses

Extremely dissapointed with the service level from the Golf shop, last year oranised a golf day for the 3rd year, on the day they let a 4 ball cut in front of us on the 10th hole, slowed play down considerably.
The package included food, trophys and scoring, run out of food and the golf manager went home before we finished playing, had to get one of the players to score the cards.
Addressed my dissapointment at the time, on the following Monday Bradley (golf Manager) phoned me to ask how the golf day went? he should have been there to score the cards and ensure everyone was fed on the day!
I expressed my dissapointment, but added the course was fantastic, just felt the level of service should have been better, he apologised and gave me 2 x 4 ball vouchers.
The vouchers are valid Mon-Fri and after 12pm on Saturdays & Sundays, on Friday we went into the golf shop and asked if there was any chance we could get in early with our voucher Sat morning, we were told that won`t be a problem and were given 10.16am slot.
Turned up to the shop with our voucher at 10am Sat morning for our 4 ball to be told we couldn`t go out until after 12pm! So they made us wait 2hrs when there was an empty slot!!!
The golf pro in the shop phoned Bradley who asked who it was for, he gave my name then told him no!!!
So i`ve got my company golf day at the end of this month at Pine Ridge for the 4th year and there are over 40 players, with food, drinks and trophys, guess this will be the last one with this level of service, oh and there are about 12 of us that use Pine Ridge daily so an even more dissapointing way for regulars to be treated.

Today was the first time I played pine ridge, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The back 9 had tons of character, and pleased to see the safeguards in place for the covid risk. The greens and tees are in an excellent condition- the fairways are a bit grumpy currently, but nothing anyone can do about that due to the current heatwave. If you're finding yourself in the rough quite a lot, the areas off the fairway are very forgiving, and pretty easy to find the ball (so long as you don't Healy slice or hook your shots).

Another great golf course from the Crown Golf Family. Greens are well looked after, and play faster than they look (well they did yesterday 25/7/17). Course dry in places but this did not affect play-ability at all. Very busy yesterday, but the pace was perfect for reading the greens without pressure, and enjoying the company of the 3 gentlemen who kindly let me join them. Ron, Ron & Ray are 3 of the nicest men you're likely to meet, and playing with them was a pleasure; they added to my overall enjoyment of Pine Ridge - thanks gents. Service in the club and at the starter's hut was good and we felt welcome wherever we went. Thanks, Pine Ridge, I'll be back on the 12th for another go with the Kerith Golf Society.

I have both played golf at Pine Ridge, use the driving range on a weekly basis and have attended some of their social events. The course is one of the best 'public' courses you will find anywhere. I say public because as far as I know they only accept green fees over the weekend with the only membership being 5 day.

The clubhouse is nothing special but overall I cannot see why you can fault this place whatever you are there for.

Best pay and play course i have played on in the area, fairways were slightly dead last time i played but due to the lack of rain this is understandable. Although the area such as the tee boxes, greens and key areas on the fairways were perfectly green. Challenging course and all round good walk with the scenery. Reasonable price for what you get. Will play there many more times in the years to come.

First visit for their mass catered Christmas dinner. Never again. Everything done as cheaply as possible. Cheap stockingette covers on chairs, nearly every one torn. Cheapest crackers possible. Cheap, uncomfortable chairs. Cheap tressle tables with uncomfortable cross braces.
Two hours in and most of the crowd had only had a poor starter. They have cut corners wherever possible, including staff. Possibly a quarter of the staff they should have.
Now onto the prices ... Overpriced. Massively overpriced. Avoid this horrible conveyor belt catering shed at all costs. The worst place we've been to for a long time.
Shame 1 star is the lowest I can give. It's too generous.

Unfortunately I also played on the 3rd and I totally agree with the comment below the course should be closed in those conditions it was an absolute joke in polite terms. Neither was anything mentioned to me about changing my tee time! If it's wet out avoid this course which is a shame as on the right day it's not a bad course. Be lucky

Nice course, well kept green. Reasonable food but very slow service hopefully new chef will vastly improve this service.
Clubhouse opening times varies - been there at 0700 several times but club house never opens until 715 - 720, can't get a coffee before t-ing. Opportunity to be a really great club and club house - as usual it is down to the management. 3/5

Stunning Course, however facilities need revenue to improve. When we visited the range several bays were out of use, the driving range in general looks tired and in need of an overhaul. Also the range once had large targets and chipping nets close to the bays for chipping practice but removed for some reason leaving just a focus on distance driving.

Car park was scattered with rubbish including beer bottles and cans. People choose to park where ever they liked including areas which are not marked bays.

Bar has had a lot of money spent to change the look of the place and in turn made it feel sterile and it's lost the atmosphere that made it a great place for a drink. We waited 55 minutes to be served a pre booked lunch with an allocated time, no apology made on delivery of the food to our table.(Food tasted great, but confused by the fact the meal took so long to arrive bearing in mind the bar area was empty)

Heard several women complain that the womens toilets were blocked.

I've been a visitor to this Golf centre for over 20 years and it seems each time I visit since Crown Golf took over there seems to be some issue or another which you simply wouldn't expect from a prestigious venue that charges higher prices for it services.

Very nice place for golfing. The pub has nice foods that is why we chose to celebrate my husband s 35th birthday here with friends. We ended up being very dissatisfied after paying to hire some tables we got served finger foods from Costco . We were asked to choose between finger foods and menu but not everything from the menu, I guess they want to make easy money and have very lazy chefs! Never coming back for celebrations!!! Such a shame for such a nice place!

As a tourist in UK, I wanted to enjoy the only sunny day of the week on a golf course.
The reviews on Google seemed positive but the first impression was bad : instead of being welcomed in the pro shop as in any other golf course, we had to go to the starter hut. We had to queue up and wait for the starter behind his glass.
No buggy available for rent. I counted only 3 buggies for the whole crowd.
The worst surprise was the rental equipment. In my half series there was a left handed Rescue, no driver, no sandwedge, and 2 six irons. The equipement seemed authentic, though. By authentic, I mean that they look like the real golf equipment designed originally by the Royal and Ancient St-Andrews.
The only positive side was the price. But spending a bad moment playing on a burned grass with a golf set from another age is priceless... I would not recommend this golf, even for free, as your time is valuable.

First impressions of Pine ridge is good. Maintained well, plenty of parking, great community around the bar area, good food and drink but most of all a great driving range and course.

There were serval aspects of my game that needed fixing. I used other coaches but had little success. The club pro Peter Sefton completely changed my game, he was able to iron out the bad habits and I was able to consistently hit well. I could not have fixed it without him. He's a good guy to know and Would definitely recommend him to anyone for lessons. Thanks

We played the golf course 18th August 2015 after reading the reviews, and I must say that non of the descriptions did justice to this spectacular golf course.
Quite simply, fantastic contours, rolling wide fairways, magnificent down hill tee shots and every single hole a delight for the eyes. No two holes are alike and unfortunately we got to the final green sad that our round was coming to an end.
This was my 450th new course played and defiantly one of the best inland courses I had ever hit a ball around, I would normally say that if you are in the area make sure you play it, but this time where ever you are even the other end of the country make sure you make plans to play it.
It has a depth of unbelievable holes, both visual and challenging that would not be out of place on Agusta, and pine trees lining the fairways from the first to the eighteenth absolutely stunning!!!!
I would be devastated if I never got to play this course again, every thing about it is quality from the welcome received in the pros shop to the back drop on the driving range, IF CARLING DID GOLF COURSES PINE RIDGE WOULD BE ITS CHOICE.

Great Venue For A Wedding Reception, One of the barman was awesome, didnt catch his name but he had brown hair, looked kinda young & will no doubt do great things one day the rest of the staff were great. although the sit down meal policy of just preparing 2 variations of every course everything & handing them out randomly though. didn't go well for me.

Great popular year round course, good driving rang...

Great popular year round course, good driving range too.
Greens are always true and well kept considering how much play they take. In the summer they can become quick. Interesting holes that will keep any handicapper happy.
Only criticism is the slow play that can be caused due the lay out of beginning holes and squeezing everyone in, saying that, once you know and embrace it you ll have a great round just don t be in a rush.
Would Recommend to everyone.

Played again 2nd July 2020 whilst Covid on, and got paired up as Pineridge making sure every tee time is packed full, for me it didn t work, firstly because again it took nearly 5hrs to get round and secondly I didn t feel comfortable playing with strangers when we have a pandemic on our hands.
I guess it s a financial thing so hope the club regains it s loses so two balls become possible in the future. Until then I ll give it a miss. Too slow and mixing up causes odd atmosphere.

We was very disappointed with the poor service and the quality of customer service we waited well over 1hr and 15 minutes for our food 50 minutes for our drinks and when the food came out half of it was cold so very disappointing. The staff could also do with a smile on there face and also the fact that drinks were bought to our table twice that were not for our table then the waitress came and took them back instead of giving them fresh drinks they gave the other customers the drinks we had touched and with the current covid situation I dont think that was a very professional approach

Unplayable course, greens flooded, fairway rivers, yet no room for cancellation. The course shouldn't even have been open.

In the past I've always had good experience here. Unfortunately not this time. We booked for a round on Sat 3rd Oct, but given the forecast 3 of us called on Friday night to cancel/rearrange. The pro shop told all of us separately that we could only change a tee time more than 72hrs in advance. As a result we were forced to go out and were assured that given its on sand it drains well. I've attached some pictures here. The course was unplayable. You had to putt through puddles so it was pointless even trying. The fairways were like rivers.

It should have been closed and refunds applied but they had no interest in doing so.

I warn anyone booking in advance here. Check the weather because these guys do not care what they sell you. You won't get the product, and they will still charge you full price for it.

The course is lovely, and always well kept...but a little over-priced I d say.

The biggest detractor by far is the pace of play - if everyone is out for a nice day of sunny golf then expect to 1-2 backed up on each tee for a 5 hour round.

Absolutely fantastic course. Set deep in a pine forest the vistas are spectacular and there are some really interesting risk and reward opportunities. The front nine are decent with nice tree lined fairways, but the elevated back nine is where the course really shines. The 15th dogleg left with an elevated shot into the green was particularly good and the 16th is a driveable four up a tight fairway. Greens in superb shape and very fast. Probably the best pay and play course I have played in the UK

As always really nice course to play. Fairways are rock hard due to the summer heat but greens are well watered and tend to be a bit slower than usual. The pins have inserts in them so as not to touch the flags, no rakes in bunkers either. Food and drinks are ordered via a QR code on your table with waitress service, so have your mobile and credit cards to hand.

Called them up, the girl couldn't even give me her name. When I asked her to repeat herself she still wasn't clear and had an attitude. Also spoke to her colleague who was also not friendly and not accommodating. Both seemed to have serious attitude and seemed like they didn't need any more custom. Took our business to Clandon and really enjoyed it there instead. Can't really comment on the course, but would highly recommend Clandon.
Eventually went there for a round and really enjoyed it there. Lovely course. I went again and because it hadn't rained for a long time the grass was so dry, most of the ground and tees were rock solid and hard to get underneath the ball, still enjoyed it. Only gave it three stars because of the pricing issues I've had with Crown Golf, especially at Pyrford, similar at Pine Ridge.

Great day at one of the best well clubs I ve visited. Course was great considering the dry weather over the past month, wish my golf was better but I ll use the state of the art range a few times before my next round. Retired to the club afterwards and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience under very good Covid-19 guidance with friendly and efficient staff. I ll be back.

As I come to end of my working life I wanted to find a sport that I could enjoy with my young wife. Golf seemed to be an ideal choose to keep fit and enjoy the outdoors. To get us both started, my wife and I enrolled in classes.
On offer at Pine Ridge is great professional tuition, whether in small groups or one to one. One that stands out in particular is Pedro Lomas, patient, talented and understanding, a real joy to be coached by. My young (non-sporting) wife thoroughly enjoyed his easy going, sympathetic approach and has moved forward in leaps and bounds, hitting the ball straight and true.
Bearing in mind that as beginners, we have not played on many courses, I found it challenging, but I believe this is down to me NOT the course, the wide fairways gave me plenty of opportunity to find my ball for those subsequent shots after teeing off. There are a variety of holes; each and every one is a pleasure to play, alongside the mature pines and other trees. The scenery is spectacular area out in the countryside atmosphere, a great place to relax and have a pleasant walk . The on-site driving range gives us an opportunity to put into practise what I have learnt.
Personally I have had no complaints about the general upkeep of the course, fairways or green, with the exception of the elevated 12th tee, where the timber retaining wall is in a bad state of repair. Hopefully this will be undertaken on the winter maintenance programme before serious structural damage occurs.
I look forward to many improving rounds of golf at this local club.

Very nice course. Played in brilliant weather and in excellent condition. The layout also had a very nice tree line along the fairways. The clubhouse is also very big and serves food and drink has well as a driving range with power tees. The reason it isn t 5 stars is that it is a pay and play course and it gets really busy so the round was very slow.
