Pillsbury has a nice tasting room right in the middle of the town of Cottonwood. We found their wines to be quite good, with some unique to us folks who are from the East coast. Not our favorite in the area, but worth a stop if you're in town. Eric took great care of us during the tasting.

Very disappointed with sexist rude behavior from staff. It was very awkward the bartender literally ignoring me while I was the one paying the bill there even though I am female. I left upset because of attitude by this tip hungry sexist group of unprofessional and discourteous service workers obviously from a small, busy tourist town. She did not at all ignore the man I was with, obviously thinking he would be the one paying. I hate when women do this to other women and will not be going back.

Terrible response to a letter written to you. It's one thing to be uneducated, anti freedom, anti constitution, and to despise an organization directly related to helping save one of the most important rights there are in this country, but to react the way you did is very unprofessional and I will special for you call avoid your company and also let others know to avoid it as well.

Love the pillsbury wines! We bought 4 bottles after tasting! The woman that helped us was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient with us when trying to decide what we wanted. We'll definitely stop in again when we visit Cottonwood :-)

Excellent service. Sam Pillsbury is a legend and Valerie is a fabulous hostess. The two of them create an outstanding ambiance unsurpassed. Wine is very good. Especially love the diva. Must-try guns n' roses

We chose Pillsbury Wine Company as our destination...

We chose Pillsbury Wine Company as our destination for wine tasting after reading reviews from several wineries in the area. My husband and I shared the red flight and particularly liked two of the ones we tasted. We decided to purchase three bottles since the $11 tasting fee was waived with the purchase and we liked the wine. All three bottles showed as $28 on the tasting menu, but the person pouring the wine rang two of them up at $32. We pointed out that the price was $28 per the tasting menu and expected him to make the change. He told us that it was a mistake on the tasting menu and wouldn't honor the price. Although we liked the wine, I think that was lame and they should honor the price on their tasting menu since it was their mistake. So I would give the wine a good rating, but not the customer service.

William in the tasting room was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our experience there, and every wine Pillsbury releases is high quality. The best 100% AZ grape winery in my opinion. Make sure this place is on any wine tour you take or on your own personal list of places to check out in Old Town Cottonwood.

This was an nice wine tasting room but I felt these wines were not as great as other wineries. Once they realized we had a coupon for a tasting from our hotel they acted differently.
I did purchase one bottle of Viognier which was very nice.

This place was good, but not great. We had heard so much about this place and the quality of their wine but I was pretty disappointed by all of the wines we tried. The atmosphere is great and cosy! They also had live music which helps warm the area. It is still worth a stop but isn't worth the hype.

A friend wrote to local winery, Pillsbury Winery requesting a donation for one of our events and this is what she received back from the owner Sam Pillsbury:

I need you to know, there is NOTHING on Earth more immoral, depraved and utterly disgusting than the NRA. Shame on you for even THINKING of fundraising for them, let alone actually sending this disgusting approach to me. Nothing.

I sincerely hope you get the chance to die in the kind of pain 40,000 Americans do every year because of your disgusting organization.

Please be sure NOT to support them or buy their wines. To tell someone that he hopes they die a horrible death is uncomprehenceable. It doesnt matter if your views are left, middle or right he is completely out of line. We wouldn't want him to receive money from "disgusting" people like us! Even though he calls one of his wines "guns & kisses".

My daughter and I polished off a bottle of the 2012 Pillsbury Symphony Goddess wine at "The Parlor" in Phoenix last March...I live in Florida and I reflect frequently on how wonderful the wine was, as well as the pizza and my "date"!
