Good range of local and international organic products. Reasonable prices and nice staff.
Loved it but is very busy. Lovely walk and they allow dogs
My favourite place to get cake in Fife, the banana oaties are my particular favourite
Tasty cafe and great shop, serves good quality food.
A charming cafe with a wide range of local healthy food
Really great place! Lovely cafe and all vegetarian menu. Vegan and Gluten-free options. Local produce in shop. We came on a Sunday around 2pm and it was incredibly busy! This can be a little bit of a put-off.
Lovely sunny day, sat outside with a cup of tea, quite busy.
Nice site. Simple facilities but very good. Great cafe and shop. Wonderful location. Only down side was that the walk from far pitches was along a road. It was quite but I wouldn't want my young children nipping to the toilet block by themselves.
A tad pricey for what you get with certain items, but still a great spot nonetheless.
It's going downhill the food is getting worse don't mind paying the money if the food is good and noticed not one reply from the owner very disappointing.
Dog friendly, vegy friendly, lovely setting. Great place!
A hidden gem in Falkland. Heard about this place from friends and had to try it out. We had an amazing lunch at the cafe, which is reasonably priced. It was busy, but we had no problem getting a table, and the staff were great. There is a lively farm shop selling organic food which I could have spent a fortune in as everything looked so tasty. This Is all set in a lively area where you could go for a lovely walk and I believe there is a camping site also. Highly recommended this place.
Scones to die for added to the most delicious Victoria sponge and swallowed down with 3cups of earl grey tea..I'm in heaven. Pillars is a hidden gem
Tasty curry for on a frosty day, was really nice, take plenty money if buying from the shop tho, prices are crazy on some things! Nice walk with dig too.
Good service nice friendly staff always busy + good food recommend a visit
Products and food nice but service was slow and not terribly professional.
Always nice to go to the Pillars of Hercules. Food is great and perfect for an extended family with various allergies.
Staff are friendly and you know the food is going to be good.
Seems quite family friendly.
Only negative is that the Pillars aren't that tall ;-)
Briefly visited today while heading from Aberdeen to Kinross to see my my Parents.
We loved it and are planning to visit again soon.
Beautiful area with a nice walk nearby. They sell some very nice things in the farm shop too.
Excellent lunch with great service.
Met a lovely cat called Amber.
Delicious organic food and drink in the cafe. Farm shop well stocked. Staff very friendly.
Wonderful organic food shop with great produce. Lovely cafe where dogs are welcome if you sit outside.
The place is covered in muck to get into order food and into shop i had to wash my boots and put my trousers into wash when I got home place needs to be scraped up and put down duck boards or better still get the whole area surfaced properly. I will not be back also over priced..
Good shop and food, especially like it hate here fir lunch in the summer sitting in the strawberry field.
Very good walks all around beautiful scenery, very easy to walk or cycle from the Pillars.
Lovely place, good food, the buckwheat crepe with courgette and brie was so good! Really nice herb garden and excellent plant stand. The shop had bere flour which I haven't found anywhere else.
A great place to visit.I am from Canada.Lovely food.
One of my favourite places in the world Food for the soul.
Simply one of the best eateries in the region. Slightly more expensive than its competitors, but it delivers extraordinary food and beverages. All organic, all carefully sourced, a genuine worry-free indulgence.
Our first choice for lunch or coffee in Fife.
Delicious breakfast and lunch options including sandwiches, soups, crepes, tarts and cakes. I had a beetroot and feta salad with toasted garlic croutons and seasonal veg. Delicious
rustic cafe and wholefood shop with good vegetarian options. Proper espresso coffee - this alone makes Pillars of Hercules unique outside of the bigger towns. We love it and can't recommend this place highly enough.
Great place, fantastic range of organic produce and really friendly staff. Cant ask for much more
Fantastic cafe, farm shop and camp site, slightly off the beaten track near Falkland. Great range of produce and mainly veggie products. Always popular and dogs welcome in outside covered seating.
Great for camping - nice views towards East Lomond, good facilities and nice shop and farm. Would recommend the nearby Red Squirrel Trail for cyclists.
Great cafe with fresh healthy meals.good portion size. Nice selection of products in the organic shop
Organic farm shop and foodie place, veggie, vegan and gluten free options available, busy parking spot for walkers and families.
We rented the bothy for a few nights. It was lovely. Equipped with everything you could need. Wonderful and cosy.
The farm shop is well stocked and the cafe staff were so friendly and helpful even though we arrived at a peak time and they were rushed off their feet. Great options for gluten free and milk alternatives if you require such things. They said there was a wait on hot drinks as they had a backlog but to be honest they were great. I've been served much slower in places that are empty.
Great hub for some breakfast, nice walks then back for a coffee. Definitely be back.
Blankets provided at the outside tables is a lovely touch.
Cleaning stations were at good locations when entering and exiting the shop/takeaway area. Staff were welcoming and chatty, which is always nice! Felt safe with their cleaning & social distancing precautions.
The shop itself was lovely, however very let down by staffs lack of friendlyness.
Parking a little difficult as place is so popular. Great healthy food.
Awesome place and concept, the shop slightly overpriced when it comes to vegan products
Great store, wide variety of organic foods. Restaurant provided a good service. Can sit outside if you have a dog.
A unique cafe and wholefood shop with tasty meals and located on the edge of woodland for some lovely walks.
Great place to have a bite to eat. Good Gluten free options. Lovely setting
We stopped over in our way to Edinburgh. We liked it
Good little cafe, dog friendly and nice friendly feeling. However, it only serves vegetarian food only, so be aware of this! For someone who is on the opposite side of the food spectrum, I wouldn't choose to come back here for food on that alone. Coffee and cake wouldn't be an issue for me though!
We loved this place. Campsite was great and it makes such a difference being able to have a fire on your pitch. Shop has everything you need to make a delicious meal and the kids enjoyed the park and handing out in the Orchard. 5 star form us. Thanks
Lovely whole food in the restaurant and a great wee shop, selling their organic veg and other high quality produce. The scones are delicious.
Nice retreat for organic, vegan and vegetarian food.
It's a cafe come restaurant come farm shop. We only stopped for a coffee and shared a bit of shortbread. We looked at the menu and there seemed to be a good selection it's a full vegetarian menu so perhaps not for the confirmed carnivore. That said I would have been happy to try if we had the time, however I thought the prices were a bit on the high side for what you were getting. The shop was well stocked with lots of healthy food stuff and even managed to squeeze in some meat in a fridge in the corner.
A wonderful organic cafe close to the woods and surrounded by birdsong... Fabulous food and amazing staff xxx
Amazing veggie/vegan hideaway. Delicious food, great shop.
Organic food, great choice, excellent service. Farm shop stocks excellent produce and ecological cleaners.
A cracking wee place. Lots of parking, lovely and leafy and green, surrounded by trees and lots of natural wood built into the place. It has a well stocked produce shop selling the victuals from its parent farm, and serving them up too in the cafe. It was very busy for lunch, a queue of ten or twelve people waiting to order at the till, but despite the wait the food was very quick in coming out, well proportioned and tasty. Cute and quaint and I'll easily recommend it to others.
Very natural & organic...Service very friendly & efficient..
Excellent food and service in a beautiful location at the foot of Falkland Hill. Ideal for those looking for a healthy option and their farm shop has all the organic produce you would want. Pillars of Hercules keeps going from strength to strength (no pun intended)
Love it here, warm friendly a calming oasis in a beautiful setting
Nice shop and cafe but it does feel very cramped and claustrophobic inside
Great food in a lovely rustic setting. Staff are friendly and professional. Always a pleasure to visit Pillars :-)
Very friendly staff, good home baking and fresh food. Dog and child friendly
Really nice service and amazing banana coconut cake
Great place to meet up and experience wonderful food.
Lovely place lovely staff just some questionable layout decisions for example where cafe till is and counter service should not be mandotory. Due to long wait times to order several guests left. Money walked right out of the door and no one blinked twice. Wrong coffee order was written for staff to deliver correct order. Was charged properly just had to fix order. Poor managerial decisions throughout other than that well worth a visit. Oh and this is a vegetarian/vegan cafe. WHY OH WHY ARE YOU SELLING ANIMAL FLESH IN SHOP FRIDGE??? That needs to be stopped sooner rather than later. Wonderful chef Fiona cooked a beautiful meal kudos.
Great fresh food, organic and most grown on site. Relaxing place to dine inside or out.
Great selection of delicious cakes (and other food, I'm sure but we focused on the sweet stuff!). Well stocked organic shop. Lovely setting, especially on such a beautifully sunny day.
Can get a whole range of organic stuff...fruit, veg, groceries including baby stuff...also can enjoy their organic hot food in cafe
