I feel sorry for all these people with bad reviews...

I feel sorry for all these people with bad reviews, I had a different experience. I was in a not at fault accident and the woman who processed my claim was pleasant. Sabrina was the woman who handled my claim and she gave me all the answers I needed, and set up my rental. My car was appraised then taken to the shop for repairs. I only knocked a star off because they are hard to get ahold of sometimes. At no point was anyone from this company rude to me, everyone was pleasant.

My dad has an ongoing claim with these people every time i called or he called same person answers the phone his claim is under investigation because the incident happened out of state (he came to visit me and my kids in MD from Mass) his car is in the shop since january 2014 its May 16 2014 now these people are crazy.
unfortunately my dad was diagnosed with cancer and guess what that doesnt make any difference for this company his claim is still under investigation and they asked him to come in for a sit down interview under oath WTF???
I ended up hiring a Lawyer and the case is still in the process his doctor had to write a paper for the insurance that he is not able to communicate with any legal matters and that was after i called in on his behalf and told them what happened they told me ohh its ok well post pone the interview for another 3 months WTF???
the car is still damaged in the shop... and being charged $130 per day for storage. My dad is not gonna be able to drive most likely in the near future these people are heartless...

I recently placed my car insurance with Pilgrim. I received a cancellation notice today saying I had a revoked registration even though I reinstated it at the dmv last week. I called customer service and was immediately connected to Mary. She was pleasant and very helpful. Fixed the issue quickly and was not rude in any sort of way. So many negative reviews here... Fingers crossed for no future issues!

They are very rude and don't care about there cost...

They are very rude and don't care about there costumers. Every time you try and call to get answers to why your policy just went up. They simply say "that's the way it is". They can't even give you any info about the why factor. I pay 300 a month for liability.. it's fricken crazy worst company ever.. please take my warning , and know I'm done with them

Filed a claim in Sept 2017, as of April 2018 they have yet to process anything to reconcile my total loss. Poor customer service & extremely slow in returning calls, filing paperwork as well as overall communication

Pilgrim insurance is absolutely the worst insurance I wished I read the reviews first, so hopefully you will read this and go somewhere else. You're supposed to get 30 days for rental that's what you pay for they told me I only get two weeks and anything after that I have to pay for even though I did not receive payment for my car so I was stranded with no car for about a week and a half I had to threaten to take them to court for under valuing my vehicle. My son Marcus has insurance with them he had to pay in full through a third party and make payments to them the insurance said his premium went up why not bill the this party which he making payment to, so what they did is send a book to his house which he never received and they cancelled him the only reason we even found out is because I called to make changes on my insurance and the last told me his insurance got cancelled I believe it is illegal what they did and I will seek a lawyer for advice. You will regret being insured with them I will post on Facebook and every where I can to let people know about pilgrim insurance

Ever since coverage started, Pilgrim has been sketchy in terms of changing payments and charging random payments, and while calling to dispute these charges they are unprofessional and arrogant. Very high premium prices for very low service, coverage, and customer support. Terrible company and employees.

Worst customer service you will experience. It took my claim manager almost a week to even answer my calls after numerous voicemails. Its also funny because they pride themselves in returning customer calls within 24hrs but like i said it took them almost a week to just answer my call. The customer service representative that ive dealt with dont actually listen to what your saying but will make it seem like she is. Ive been driving my car around barely unfit for the road (because i need to go to work) and pilgrim insurance doesnt care. They dont care about your safety or anyone else s safety, just their money. Dont waste your time and pick another insurance company dont say i didnt warn you!

Worst insurance company I ever dealt with in the 23 years I ve been driving! They didn t even want to contact the other parties insurance company when I was in an accident. The first time I spoke to my adjuster, she told me, you re 100% at fault and that was it! I said, how about calling the other one Maura Co company bc at the very least it s a 50/50 even the police officer at the scene said that it was as 50/50. The worst part was that I had to hire an attorney for my own insurance company Pilgrim to pay me for my vehicle when i pay for collision & comprehensive insurance and it s not cheap! It took exactly 3 months to the day of the accident to get the money for my vehicle that was totaled! So if you re thinking of going with Pilgrim Insurance, don t! Run far away from this insurance company and don t look back!

They deserve no stars, they are worst insurance company I ve ever dealt with. I called to resolve an issue and the person I spoke with was extremely rude and didn t want to help and told to call my agency and was not will to help to resolve the issue. When I requested to speak with a manager he told me that was no manager available and hung up on me. when I called back to talk to someone else she hung up on me as well when I was trying to explain myself. They refused to transfer me to the manager they are worst insurance company with highest premium price and worst customer service.

One star doesn't even do this company justice! STAY AWAY! I didn't even sign up with them, but had sold a trailer and the plate wasn't cancelled right away. I was not aware of this, but kept receiving bills from them. I called every time I got a bill and asked what it was for. I was told multiple times that they don't have any record and the policy was flat cancelled, disregard the notice. Suddenly one day I got a letter from CCS Collections saying I owe money to Pilgrim Insurance. I immediately called Pilgrim and was put on hold for over an hour until they closed and I was disconnected. I went back and forth with them for months, they had no endorsement pages to show me, and the price kept changing from $28.15 to $168.00????? Magically I was going to sit in collections for the higher price, which included late fees for something I was told I didn't owe and to throw the bills out! WTH!!!?? $168 for a small trailer for 3 weeks of Insurance is ridiculous! BEWARE OF THESE CROOKS!!!!

Cancelled my comprehensive without notification after I was a week late on an insurance inspection (which legit nobody does anymore) in their contract it clearly states that it will be restored upon recieval of inspection. So now, 6 months later, I find out that they never restored the comprehensive. So not only did they break their own contract, but they put me at risk of losing my car. I've consistently been paying over $400 a month. My bill never went down after they decided to cancel.. But suddenly I owe $1500 a month in back insurance. Excuse me? Even my agency thinks Pilgrim makes absolutely no sense.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am not a customer and they transcribed an account number and withdrew 1400.00 from my checking account. This put me in overdraft and I am on vacation 120 miles from home. It will take 24 hours to resolve with my bank and there is no one you can contact directly at Pilgrim. Thanks a lot Pilgrim Insurance for wrecking my vacation!

Pilgrim Isurance doesn't pay on insured clients car rental claims. I had 100 pd 3000 pm my car was in the auto body shop for 28 days they only paid me 900. Even though I had paid for the higher coverage... They said it should have only taken 9 days. It's not my fault it tokt 28 days.

Got hit by a client of theirs, I ve had better customer service at McDonald s. The lady assigned to my case, Anna Gratta, legitimately never called me. I had to wait on hold every single time I needed to get info on how my car was going to be fixed. 3 weeks from the time my car got smashed to when I was able to get it fixed, and it was undriveable. These guys are terrible, and I m sorry for anyone else who has to deal with them.

I spoke with Andre Dublin, Sean Callahan and Matt Russel. Andre Dublin hung up on me, several times before giving me his supervisors name, Sean Callahan, at which point Sean only transfered my claim to yet another bottom feeder employee Matt Russel. The worst customer service experience ever! Pilgrim should invest more into their clients and employees. Not everyone is meant to work in customer service. They are not my Insurance company. I filed my claim with them as their insured driver hit me, switch drivers and then attempted putting a claim in through my insurance, which was denied. They did not act proffessional in any way, whatsoever!

Worst company ever, I was rear ended recently and took nearly 2 months to get my payment from them even though I was in the right Then I had a valuable car stolen and I have now been waiting 48 days for my claim....
Previous reviewer s are totally correct worst customer service people answering the phones do not care about you And could care less if you took your business elsewhere. I had five policies with them now have instructed my broker to move me anywhere I don t care if I have to pay more which is unlikely because they are very expensive anyway. I didn t even up to go with these people my broker decided to ensure me with them because of some issue they (the broker) had another insurance company that I ve been with for 10 years .

This place is terrible. Pay your monthly bill and all is well...call for a little bit of assistance and you cant pay them enough to want to help you. Unbelievable the reluctance to serve and the attitude about it on top of it. Its bad enough your having a bad day already, but now you have to call and deal with these people who could CLEARLY care less. A one Sabrina Saint Surin an appraiser for pilgrim, was particularly difficult and rude.
