Pier House, Key West Florida

Have vacationed at Pier House for several years, this year will be my last. What used to be a top notch resort has deteriorated greatly and is not worth the price they command. No longer is there an attendant to greet you at the door and handle your luggage, desk staff are very robotic and impersonal. The structure is in need of deep cleaning, polishing, and paint. There is one public restroom available, located at pool, it is filthy, floor to ceiling. Stayed for 3 nights and was told upon arrival that the room would not be cleaned for the duration of stay. That s unacceptable considering the cost of stay. Floors and walls throughout are dirty. In general the Pier House is greatly in need of an overhaul, decor needs to be updated and they need to put more effort into making their customers feel valued. They ve taken away all the little welcoming touches that used to make guests feel special and comfortable.

Everything was great!.. From the check in process to the room through the service in all areas. The views are spectacular. The staff at the beach bar/ restaurant went out of their way to make sure you were taken care of. If you are looking for a tropical getaway in the US this is the place to go. The location is the best in Key West.

Total Amazement! From the room, the cleanliness, the food, drink, pool and service a 100% Class A vacation. Everyone we met affiliated with the resort was kind and helpful, the location was perfect for exploring Key West. We have been to Key West at least 10 times but never stayed on this end before and it was like a whole different vacation. Absolutely will be back!

Pool and beach area are beautiful. Outdoor staff were attentive and kind. Outside of that, our stay was awful! I have never ever left a bad review but felt very compelled to share. Front desk/reception interaction was awful! They changed our room, still charged us the $550 night rate and didn t acknowledge a change was made. Received email that stated our reservation was modified . Front desk would not acknowledge this and stated that I must have booked the wrong room. Have screen shot that clearly states junior spa suite, first floor, garden view located steps away from hot tub . Our view was of the hotel roof and parking lot. Not at all the view/setting we paid good money for. The front desk employees were in no way looking to make our stay better. Even something as simple asking for bottled water was awful. When seeking bottled water the front desk stated, with a heavy sigh, I guess if you really wanted some I can give you one if you come to the lobby . Of note - one front desk agent was nice and professional. Do not recall her name.... middle aged woman with blonde hair.

We had dinner tonight. Husband got Yellowtail and the Clam Chowder. It was wonderful. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. The seating is right on the water. The mood and ambiance is breathtaking

Great location, tired room poor service. Main complaint is rigid 12:00 Noon checkout time. We even offered to pay for later checkout. This is Monday and hotel is empty, but still no flexibility on checkout. We have a 6:15 flight and would have liked a changing room. Room was $700 per night and need freshening. $50 per night "resort fee" is added to the quoted room rate. If this fee is mandatory, it should be included in the quoted room rate, don't you think? Location is great!

Our room miraculously got cleaned...thank you to the wonderful housekeeping staff. The beach experience was great today! Busy but the attendants did an amazing job of setting up beach chairs and getting drinks!

Spent a few days there in the summer of 2020 and it was the height of the epidemic. I really appreciated how clean the rooms were and how they followed health guidelines. The staff was always helpful and kind.

The Pier House is the best place to stay in Key West, no question about it. Located right in the heart of downtown, its an easy walk to all the attractions but super quiet and private if/when you want a relaxing escape. Love that they have a private beach! Only had food at the pool bar, but everything was excellent! The staff were super friendly and truly care about making your stay a great experience. The rooms were clean and updated (stayed in the Spa suites). We've stayed several times and our experience has been consistently wonderful. Highly recommend!

Pier House Resort is a very elegant hotel in Key West. It has several bars and restaurants. The hotel is close to Mallory Square and is within easy walking distance of most of the Key West tourist attractions. The hotel is one of the few beachfront hotels in Key West. It's an artificial beach and is more of a bay with no waves. The hotel is quite expensive but is very nice and is highly recommended.
