I have been a fierce supporter of the PFC for over a decade. The staff and volunteers, some who I consider among my best friends, are simply terrific. They know Film! In the past there wasn't a film coming through the PFC or their other theater, The Limelight (on Cornwall down from Rite-Aid) that I didn't catch. Illness briefly curtailed my participation but I recently secured a year-long single Membership for a ridiculously low price of $45 which cuts more than 3 bucks from the cost of every general admission ticket plus everything else is greatly discounted. I know their upcoming Oscar Ball is much cheaper with a membership. FoodDrinkOscars! The night of the big show! Get gussied up in your Flapper finest and return to Pre-code Hollywood where the booze is bootlegged and the Ladies are all hot-to-trot! Not actually as all the drinks are legal but we can pretend.

I love this theater. Indie and small distribution films. The only complaint i have of these types of theaters is that the patrons tend to think they are in their living rooms and talk through the films. The only time i have these issues is when i attend these cinemas. Perhaps its the alcohol that is served that turns people into social clods... who knows. I had hoped that a more considerate clientele would be attracted to these films. Same thing happened often at the Tropic Cinema in Key West, FL when I lived there. Too bad. STILL! It is the only theater I attend. Great staff. Great location.

We bought a membership there but we had so much trouble getting into events and movies. Worse thing is the two times we were able to get in people would be drinking and get intoxicated and disruptive.

The Pickford is a classic example of how a theatre should be operated. Small intimate spaces create an ambiance of close family events. I live this theatre, Bellingham is privileged to have her here

The Pickford Film Center is one of the most important cultural institutions in Bellingham. We're so lucky to have a legit art house theater in our city that'll show material other than the mainstream Hollywood releases.

We ve seen films at the Pickford we couldn t see outside of a major film festival. As transplanted New Yorkers, it s the closest thing you can get to art theaters on the upper west side. And today, we became members.

Wonderful place to catch an independent movie. It is a nice bonus feature to be able to have a beer or wine while you watch. It has comfortable seating and good sightlines to make your movie watching experience worthwhile. They have a continuing rotation of interesting films to discover. It is right in downtown Bellingham so that you can easily stroll somewhere for a post-movie drink or dinner. We will definitely be back!

The Pickford does what it does well. Excellent films that the "big box" theaters don't see as big box office draws. It is a small venue but we'll put together. The clientele seems to be more the oddball Bellingham type (who me?). Ya gotta put up with them in order to see some of the more thought provoking films.

I lived in town a year or so before I went to a movie here, and I was really missing out! This is a fabulous little theatre, they feature a lot of food indie or niche films and also offer a great selection of snacks (AND WINE!). This is a true staple of Bellingham, love them!

Beautiful historic theater. Indie films and documentaries shown in addition to first run movies. Wonderful volunteer staff. Delicious food options. Only challenge...not wheelchair accessible

Great selection of films that don't make it to the big theaters but should, specifically documentaries and foreign films. I'm never disappointed by the film selection, food/drink and overall atmosphere. The Pickford offers a unique and quality experience compared to today's theater standard.

I love the Pickford's eclectic, diverse, choices in films. The Pickford reaches out to the community by offering volunteer opportunities for free movie tickets, offering themselves as a local sponsor for community events, and by inviting educational speakers to educate all ages during their low-cost Science on Screen productions. The Pickford contributes to the local film crowd as well. It's nice that the Pickford provides popcorn with a diverse amount of seasonings to choose from (plus, real butter! Not the fake stuff). It's relaxing to watch a film at the Pickford with a locally brewed beer in my hand. Staff are friendly. The Pickford is Bellingham's community theater where I have seen some of the best films ever made.

Pickford Film Center is independent cinema at its finest. They offer current indie movie showings, as well as specialty offerings like Doctober (their month long celebration of documentaries in the Fall), the popular kid-friendly Outdoor Summer movies (with contemporary favorites as well as kids classics) shown for free, and they also cater to more obscure tastes with like Japanese Classics & 1950's Sci-Fi films series. They host Film Festivals like the International Women's Film Festival and the Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival.
Yes-- they have great snacks and drinks-- yes their seats are super comfortable! The Pickford is also fully ADA compliant and offers Open Captioning and other accessibility services for patrons. Check them out!

The PFC is a fabulous independent film venue and cultural contributor to Bellingham. The concessions include beer and wine, and real butter for the popcorn. It's a beautiful theater for date night, or slipping in solo.

We love our local film theater. I've been a member with the Pickford for a few years now, always go for their well priced films that have real substance, just recently saw Manchester by the Sea which was amazing. Would recommend both the movie and the theater itself!
