Love supporting independent movie makers. Voluntee...
Love supporting independent movie makers. Volunteers do a terrific job. Can walk there! Clean and comfortable.

Absolutely fabulous to have an independent film theater here! They go out of their way to find and showcase movies the awful Regal cinemas won't. (Regal gobbled up the other movie houses in town and then shut them all down, leaving empty husks all over town. ) Doctober is only one way they show their connection to the community. We study their movie openings when they come out because we know they'll give us at least one lovely gem every time!
Times and dates are never available in their advertisements. The website is often down. Still I donate and support em... but it is kind of ridiculous.
The perfect antidote for the "blockbuster" cinema 16. Specializing in thoughtful movies, well produced. You could pick a movie at random here and not be disappointed.
Love this little theater. All types of movies from around the world.
Great staff nice smaller cozy theater with lounge seats for conversation and a drink
It is an adorable theater, showing movies that matter.
Love the films shown here!
Great spot for all types of dates... with yourself, friends, coworkers, and boo!
Great films, friendly volunteer staff, comfy seating, and delicious eats. Try the popcorn with Brewers yeast and parmesan!
Nice place to see a film. The price is right and the lobby is very welcoming.
Great selection of independent films. Huge community involvement through hosting a number of film festivals. Food is cheap and admission is high.
Mindful volunteers run the Pickford who take tje time to offer down-to -earth hospitality and not forgetting, a great selection of shows!
One of the best theaters in Bham. More enjoyable then dealing with Barkley Village AMC.
Great theatre. Love the setting, the service and some of the best movies
Old fashioned two screen small theater but updated to stadium seating. Friendly staff with snack bar.
A variety of independent film offerings in a comfortable and slightly retro setting. Located in Bellingham's art district and a few doors down from restaurants, that were packed with people when I was there. You may also get food at the Pickford theater.
Locals obviously love this place. Friendly people, comfy seats, yummy popcorn.
Sweet cozy venue close to ample parking around the block. Great movie selections and friendly staff.
Great venue to view the latest independent films in Bellingham.
Bellingham is so fortunate to have this world class indie theatre! 2 screens, comfy seats, and Doctober every year...more than 50 documentaries in a month! Local beers on tap, even! Also run the Limelight Theatre a couple streets over. Surrounded by some good eats, too! Become a member and save on tickets. Our Senior Couple Membership was only $50! Pays for itself in no time!
Bellongham is so lucky to have 2 art-house theaters! Both owned by same non-profit group, showing different movies. Pickford is the newer one, with 2 screens.
Favorite local theater. Volunteer run. REAL butter on popcorn with lots of other seasoning to choose from. Good quality "artsy" movies. Cheaper than regal and better quality. Small and homey, but still really nice!
Definitely a highlight of Bellingham. Everything about this place is great and I suggest it to everyone and urge them to support the theater.
Best theater in Bellingham for watching quality films
Best movie going experience in Bellingham. By far my favorite theater.
Excellent volunteers, great selection of films. Would like to see Amazing Grace, Aretha Franklin documentary come soon. And the Coen brothers latest
Mondays you get matinee prices all day. Top notch theatre, feels swanky but shows indie films. And they DON T make your ears bleed with volcanically loud surround sound thank jeebus
Tiny art movie house. Staff and clientele tend to be real movie aficionados. It's fun to be able to enjoy a glass of beer or wine with a movie when you go with adults, and it is equally fun to take the kids and see a great anime flick. I love this place.
This theater is an icon of the town and a supporter of the local film community. Its relaxed and has a great concession. They host lots of great events
Neo- classic theater for real! A lot of the great films you never see in run of the mill theaters. Comfortable, great place to take kids, depending on the show. Lots of food choices brought to you seat.
I love everything about the Pickford. Wish they would sell local cider, as they do wine and beer.
Lovely theater for films, especially independent ones. Lounge area with happy hour and in the heart of downtown Bellingham.
Great little theater showing well chosen independant films...not a lot of action based special effects, and you might have to think a little bit, maybe even feel an emotion...
Always clean and well kept, with industry-defying reasonably priced snacks, many of which are upscale, even gourmet.
The Pickford shows the films that matter. It's the only place to see many independent movies and the best place to see any movie! Popcorn with real butter (or nutritional yeast), local treats, local brews and comfy seats. And your ticket supports the amazing outreach work of this vibrant non-profit.
Small and local. I love that I can have a beer and watch great films.
Small and cozy. Fun selection of concessions. Downside: It can attract the type of movie lovers who aren't afraid to disturb their neighbors.
Best inde film spot around. Very friendly folks here too.
What a great local venue! They clearly love cinema here. Always a great selection of interesting films showing. A Bellingham icon.
Fantastic small theater. Great prices and selection of movies that don't typically get wide releases, (foreign or indie).
Great little independent theatre. Always a treat to go
We love the Pickford! Super friendly staff and volunteers, lots of great films and other screenings, comfortable seating, good prices - especially with membership. The popcorn seasonings bar is a nice touch, and it's great to be able to enjoy a cider, beer, or wine with the show.
The problem with Barkley 16-plex is that the better new movies arrive there late or never. As of today (Fri. 9/1/17) I'm thinking of Tulip Fever, open nationwide, but not here. Is it scheduled?
Okay some of the best independent films shown here. Bellingham just wouldn't be the same without this iconic movie theatre.
I am always grateful for this place and the wonderful films and special events they have. Highly recommend a membership.
The popcorn is non-GMO and they use real butter on it. Delicious, along with other great concessions. They have a good selection of unique movies, it is always a treat to go to this theater.
A white whale. A white dwarf , it's almost gone . Dont let the robots win, support local, support yourself
Doctober is a cool concept that allowed the community to come together and talk about interesting subjects. Highly suggest visiting one of the exciting documentaries lined up this month!
A gem. Great films. Comfortable seating. Good sound. A independent theater you should visit.
Love the popcorn spice bar and the volunteer staff!
i love both the pickford and the limelight theaters. that they show unmainstream independent films, especially during the glorious documentary filled 'doctober', that span so many topics is almost secondary to the sense of community served up by the theater and staff. local volunteers provide much of the staffing (giving us old delinquents something constructive to do,' and there is just a tremendous heart and local pride associated with both places. sure, some movies aren't to my liking and this or that could be improved on but i look for independent flicks in other larger towns across the west coast and usually find no options. these two theaters are about community as much, if not more, than just entertainment. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up a rainbow and a herd of unicorns all covered in sparkles is my final rating for both the pickford and limelight theaters.
A great independent theater that provides a plethora of films for our edu nation and enjoyment.
Always a 5 star experience. MY favorite local place to watch quality film.
A real theater experience, comfortable setting and reasonable rates.
This is an excellent theater diverse refreshment menu, excellent seating
A small theater that shows non mainstream films. Clean and well cared for. Serves beer and wine.
Not a a lot to say other than this is the ideal independent movie theater. If you want to see films beyond the latest superhero blockbuster, the Pickford along with their other theater, the Limelight is your place. Both are a labor of love for the volunteers and members that make it possible.
Very nice little movie theater. Staff and volunteers are very polite and helpful. Great popcorn. The seating is spacious and comfortable.
A lovely, comfortable and special atmosphere, always with intriguing and inspiring films
We are lucky to have this independent movie theater. Beer and wine served up with some standard concessions. They even have nutritional yeast available for your popcorn. Often playing interesting and harder to find indie films.
Great films in a neat venue. Go hungry, leave happy.
A small theater with great ambiance. They show good independent movies. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Awful films, so wholesome, such education, much badness, must dislike. Also First
Great place to grab a beer and watch a meaningful movie non mainstream.
Everything you want a theater to be: engaged in the community, beautiful, welcoming, independent and downtown.
Fun place to see a good movie with a glass of wine and cheese
