Delicious food! Really delicious!! Roasted padron peppers, incredible avocado toast, amazing gnocchi with housemade sausage, swiss chard and black truffle butter, and many other dishes. Each dish was unique and the flavors distinct. We enjoyed a wonderful night with my cousin's family while we visited from Oregon.

We had dinner at Restaurant Picco for my girlfriends birthday while in town from Texas and could not have been more impressed. The food and service were both amazing.

We had the avocado bruschetta (pure, simple and delicious), the crispy ricotta stuffed squash blooms (a very tasty treat and a great twist and squash), the fresh vegetable risotto (freshly made every half hour from hand made risotto), the sauteed diver sea scallops (cooked perfectly) and the smoked ribeye (a wonderful smoky taste cooked to perfection).

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed every bite. Special thanks to the Hostess, Amanda, for helping to arrange such a wonderful evening and for the avocado bruschetta on the house.

Walked up to the bar, asked for the wine list. While waiting to put in my order a couple people leave. I go to sit down... I was promptly told that there is a wait list for the bar and could not sit there. She shooed me away without even taken my order, very rude about the whole thing. I watched another couple get up and she told them it was open seating. Horrible treatment by barstaff.

One of the best restaurants in Marin

We like to eat at Pizza Picco with the boys as they also offer the full Pico Restaurant menu. The kids get their delicious pizza and we have a delicious meal - every time.

Yep. This is easily a 5 star rating simply given the quality of the food. Service is good as well and even though you may sit outside next to a busy street, you still will be very glad you dined here. Small portions for sure, but that is good as it allows you to sample the menu. Be sure to get a reservation!

Probably the best in Marin. Top two or three for sure... consistent, informal atmosphere with creative menu expertly executed. The Kampachi crudo was delicious (shaved artichoke, fava beans, meyer lemon smash, ramp, crispy shallot), but the Tuna Tartare is a cannot miss (hard line caught ahi tuna tartare, asian pear, shiso, sesame, soy, fresh wasabi, and sticky rice cakes). The avocado bruschetta was also a MUST order... must....for real (avocado with manodori balsamic, sea salt, and chorizo leon "flakes"). My wife got the Wolf Ranch Quail, with bacon and chard stuffing, soft polenta, fennel sausage, sage, and maple jus. I was jealous, because it was *SO* hearty... incredible amounts of meat. It was too much for her, but I helped. =) It was a lot of meat on a plate, but it was really well plated / thought out. Probably a guy's dish though. I had the gnocci with house made fennel sausage, erbette chard, and black truffle butter. It was heaven, but I was a bit full (as we ordered the whole menu, basically). Cheers to celebration. Too full for dessert, we opted for coffee instead. We enjoyed the Cristom Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley with the meal, too. The half bottles are great, and fair priced.

I have been going to Picco Restaurant since it first opened. It is my absolute go to spot everytime I'm in Marin. It's the best food in the county. The dishes to try are: the raw ahi tuna, sticky rice appetizer; risotto (a fresh batch is made every 20 minutes & it's ingredients change with the seasons); homemade pasta and sliders. You may wonder why I included a photo of people in my review. This is the first review I've given where I included photos of the staff. The two bartenders, Gavin (left) and Eric (right) are instrumental to this restaurant's charm. Their gallantry, conversation and attentiveness make the bar the best seat in the house. Enjoy!

I was in the area for work with anther colleague and a local who knew about the restaurant. Once we figured out where to park, there's valet right outside, we were seated immediately having made a reservation. Our server was cordial and knowledgeable. It's family style so the dishes are large enough to share. We had the spaghetti and meatballs which were ok, the Brussels sprouts were really good and so were the gnocchi with mushrooms and the cod was exceptional. The cod was the best meal of my 4 day trip!

Fantastic Italian restaurant at the end of town in Larkspur. Rustic contemporary vibe with lots of exposed brick, very active bar, and bustling dining room. Many small plates and really tempting small plates, pasta dishes, risotto and entrees on the menu. The risotto and pastas as well as veggie sides were delicious and the dessert was out of this world. Although it looks like they make good cocktails here and have a nice wine list, they will also open bottles that you bring in for a corkage fee which they were gracious enough to do for us. The service was great and not overbearing. Parking on street so you might have to drive around a little but otherwise fairly plentiful.

Delicious! Amazing! Yummy! And awesome vibe.

And did I mention the food is great? It is!

Creative, fresh ingredients and excellent dishes -- make a reservation, because this place is VERY crowded, especially on weekends (the next-door casual pizza version of Picco is also VERY popular.... and has long waits -- go weekdays).

Highly, highly recommended. Not sure if this is one of the best in Marin, but certainly in the Top 10.

This restaurant is the one I like best. I visit many restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very amicable and the food they serve is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

A little cramped for 6 adults in a booth for 4, even with a reservation made over a week ago, but the incredible food makes everthing else irrelevant. The avocado bruschette is a favorite, and of course the gnocchi. It's our go-to family restaurant when the kids are in town.

So amazing! While the menu is impressive - great food...and, smuch to my chagrin...at dinner on a Saturday evening - you can be sitting next to a gal in cut-offs and flip flops.
No dress code. Popular bar. Yes, Noisey.

I used to eat here once a month but recent poor services made me give it a miss. The food is excellent and as long as you are happy with long waits, incompetent and disorganized service this might work for you.

There are so many good restaurants in Marin with an excellent service. Very professional, helpful, and cheerful people should work in customer service.
Would i recomend this place to friends, family? As long as a manager represents Picco, i will recomend any another place instead. Does any one wants to take abuse? No.

One of the few gems in Marin that feels more like an S.F. upscale place than a local joint. Top notch food, especially in the pizzeria. Gnocchi are must gets, and the son of yeti pizza was tasty too. Strauss soft-serve to finish it off is the perfect finish!

The food is delicious and has great quality and its flavorful. However, they have a serious problem with the waiting time to be seated, once you are seated the food is quite fast. Also I didn't give them the proper 5 stars because it's almost impossible to get a reservation, unless you plan it a week in advance, or take weird hours like 5pm lunch. So keep that in mind, it's worth the fuzz but for sure be prepared to wait to be seated.

Wow! This was a really exquisite meal and service. We ordered the tuna tartare, Mexican corn, harissa carrots, gnocchi, and caramel pot de creme. Everything was innovative and delectable, but order of recommendation would be: gnocchi, tuna tartare, pot de creme, carrots, and corn.

If it s nice out, I d also recommend reserving a table outside.

Highly recommend!

Benjamin did a great job taking care of our party of 4. First we did notice that the place was overflowing so he was a little forgetful but as soon as he got settle with his new tables he did an AMAZING job. He didn't quite recommended some food but that's fine since we already knew what we were getting. We arrived early so we stayed at the bar for a couple of minutes, I ordered a Riesling and some beers, the bartenders were quick and politely. Anyways Benjamin was very friendly and we will definitely come back and hopefully be seated at his section since his service was very warm and kind.

The food was good, it wasn't the best for my taste. The linguine was a little too salty, the oyster didn't include lemon (which has never happened to me), the arancini di riso were okay, I would have like it more if it had more flavor (maybe add some saffron and raise the price on it) . The gnocchi was good, the sorbet was amazing and the cobbler was really really tasty.
