PhyMed is a manifestation of a troubling trend in healthcare, particularly involving anesthesiologists, who work out of network without disclosing that to the patient (because what patient in the pre-op room is going to ask if the anesthesiologist is out of network). Then the patient gets an excessive post-op bill not covered by their insurance. This is the so-called 'surprise billing' problem and another reason the United States needs a single payer system.
Flexibility with this company is unheard of. My manager is absolutely wonderful, understanding, and cares about her employees. I moved to Nashville last November and was offered this position by Alex in HR and she was on top of the hiring process making it such an easy transition. The CRNAs I work with are quick to respond to all of my correspondence and are always thankful for our help. Everyone is always so friendly throughout the office and I truly love coming to work everyday.
