I purchased a product from Philips website. I called to cancel it 10 minutes later but they would not allow it. They only offered me the option of not accepting the order?? How can a company as large as Philips not provide a cancellation of an order which has not even been dispatched or packed?? Will not buy Philips again and will be refusing the delivery.

As i have promised , i will try to reach as many people as possible with my message .

Just came here to share my disappointment with all of people who are seeing this , and to make them aware of this so they won't follow that route of getting Philips Amblight Led TV .

So my full story goes : i bought my TV about 14 months ago , worked perfectly , until i started noticing weird dark spots on white screen ..

service said that this is called ''DSE'' effect , and in order to get more info about it they sent me to a web forum ! can you imagine this ?
there was literally no info about that kind of issues in manuals at all for me , but they said that this is going under '' environmental factor '' which is quite silly , as i have my TV quite far from windows , and as per manual min . 10 cm from wall ..
I do also keep my flat as tidy as possible .

Funny fact is - not all of them are getting this , so i would call it a manufacturing issue at the end of the day , and it's a bit hidden risk of having it .

very very disappointed , i will make sure no one of my friends will get Philips TV , and share my story everywhere where it's only possible .

see attached picture of ''quality'' of Philips TV's .
Picture has been made on Philips Test PHOTO which isn't completely white , its more like gray , so just imagine how it would look like on white one

been through manuals couple times , didn't even found a word mentioned about this , so i would call it as lying to customers

Hope i will reach many people , and they won't make same mistake

I bought Philips Lumea few months ago everything was fine, until the fan stopped working and the device was overheating. I would like to say that the Customer service was extremely on point and they have managed to replace my product within a week with even newer version, because the one I have purchased was no longer available. I am extremely happy with their Customer service especially Lilly who dealt with my problem so quickly.

I strongly advise against buying a Philips TV, it is not a serious brand that officially wrote to me that my 3-year-old TV with a lot of stains on the display is not suitable for warranty because Philips TVs have only a 2-year warranty, so be careful not to buy these TVs because they work correctly only 2 years!!

Poor quality of products and after-sales service to absent subscribers

I bought a Philips 55POS9002 TV in June 2018. Within 2 years, this TV had 3 failures. As the after-sales service is provided on site during the 2-year warranty, I was able to verify the ineptitude of their procedure:
- Go to the Philips site and fill in a service file
- Wait for someone from Philips to contact you when you are at home and in front of the TV to perform tests.
- When the failure is validated (if necessary sending photos), they hand over to a service company (in my case SBE).
- The latter, who has shortened office hours (end of work on weekdays at 4.30 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Fridays), must contact you. They then tell you that a local technician will be appointed and will contact you to make an appointment.
- Wait for the technician to offer you an appointment during the week
- Hope that the technician comes with the right parts and repairs your TV

So between the filing of the fault and the arrival of the technician, many weeks passed with a broken TV. Knowing that sometimes, the technician does not come with the right part and that a new deadline to have the part and a new appointment is added. In short, this after-sales service is nonsense. So again, Philips TVs were reliable, but that's not even the case. By questioning the forums, we quickly realize that the same failures are recurring.
Currently, my TV has nice big spots in the middle of the screen. The outage was reported on April 17. With containment, the SBE took over the case only on May 15. Since then I have been waiting in vain for the designated technician to contact me. In 2 days, my warranty is over. So after 3 weeks, I still don't have an appointment. I am therefore with a TV with large spots which greatly degrades its use and it's not about to change.

I do not intend to continue with this TV. Hope to get a refund ... hope I don't have to go to court for law enforcement.

In short, Philips TVs should be avoided, they are regularly broken down and the after-sales service is totally ineffective.

Update of June 24, 2020
It took some time, but Philips after-sales service agreed to reimburse the TV.
In short, even if my model had a big reliability problem, the after-sales service still managed to find a solution that suits me perfectly.

Don't buy any Philips products. I buy a Philip's 4k Hd TV 1 year ago, now is broken, they don't want to service it or change it. I buy a shaving machine broken after 6 months, no replacement no service. I buy a sound system broken after 8 months, no service, no replacement. Spend more them 10h on the phone with them and I'm not lying 93 emails for 4 products with no results. Don't waist you money like me, don't look for cheap products with great specs, take the time and buy another brand. Before I buy them I didn't checked the reviews and now I'm regretting. I hope you will consider my review. Thank you

My tv developed a fault within the 24 month warranty, a hardware issue caused by faulty wiring, thinking it was an issue with the aerial which has always been a bit dodgy and being busy with work, I then contacted Philips to log an issue less than a week out of warranty. I then spent 2 weeks with emails back and forth, complying with their every instruction, chasing them up when I didn't receive a response, to be told that my warranty expired the month before it had actually expired and that I should send the tv to a repair partner in Tewkesbury. Multiple calls to them and I was met with consultants that clearly didn't care, telling me I was effectively on my own despite it being an inherent problem with the device that has developed a fault within the warranty period, absolute joke that a well established company like this can shirk responsibility of a faulty product and casually telling me it is no longer their problem. I really wouldn't bother purchasing any Philips products as they clearly don't care as long as they get your money! Absolute joke!

Sell lighting products which do not match their product specifications and has caused me huge problems.
Have spent a month trying to get some 'customer service' from Philips.
This involves being five seperate people telling me 'someone will get back to me' or something similar over the course of nearly a month.
Not what I expected of Philips.

worst service ever I brought a t.v. from very and it's faulty I had to call Phillips and they said they will get back to me now it's over there return policy now so I'm out of pocket 500 pounds . I was told a date they would call and nothing called every day since asked to speak to management which we all have the right to and I was told no I can't the I asked to talk with some one english that will understand the problem as the people can not understand the problem . so my advice to Phillips don't but any products from then the worse service I have ever had . I am one very unhappy customer and if I have to I will write daily comment until 500 days go by as that's worth every penny . this will now be posted on social media with all the evidence of this service :)
