Only place I get a cheesesteak. Others are close but don't compare.

AMAZING!!!! I absolutely loved their cheesesteaks. And the ambiance was great. Definitely recommend this place.

Everything looked good and smelled good til I found a hair in my cheesesteak. I took it back,I know a person cooked my food and wasn't asking for a refund or even a free sandwich just asked to get it remade. The man remade my sandwich. Great. Until he said that it might have been my hair since the man who cooked it was bald and well he had the same hair texture and color that I found in my sandwich. Ik didnt blame him,like I said I wasn't asking for money or anything so dont know why he was fighting with me.

This place takes me back to the original spot in the quarry. Glad the truck still exist.

This place has the best Philly Cheesesteak outside of Philly...I'm from Philadelphia.

Way overpriced! Cheesesteak was nothing special. Also the inside where you sit down smelled like urine. Also it would help if they didn t use a red ketchup bottle as the hot sauce bottle because if the label is turned away were you assume it s just ketchup there goes whatever you just poured it on. Service is non existent and everyone hides in a bus. Weird. If your looking for a much better cheese steak with amazing service and for much less money. I recommend Gino s Deli!

This is my number 1 go to place to get a taste of home. I hadnt been able to get a real cheesesteak here in texas until i tried phillys phamous.

I found this place on a search for black owned businesses. What a find! On top of that I'm vegetarian, and my hubby is from Philly, tough dillema. This was the most flavorful vegetarian offering in San Antonio to date! My husbands words in regard to the cheesesteaks"legit" they will definitely get our business again, and we don't live very close, but well worth the drive!

The quality and quantity of the food is excellent. There is often a shortage of seating.

Consistently delicious! I've eaten here a couple of times and each time I've been very happy with my sandwich. It's got just the right meaty flavor with the classic toppings like onions, peppers and mushrooms if you like. They'll make it the way you tell them to. Plus the Rose Bush is a laid back, friendly place to hang out. I always meet someone new while I'm there.

We just came all the way from oregon and I wanna say that this is the best philly I've ever had I very much insist like deeply coming if you're ever in san antonio texas

I got the San Antonio cheesesteak, which I really enjoyed. The fries by themselves were ok, better with the cheese. The environments was pretty cool. Went around 5pm on Friday and it was pretty dead. I'm sure it gets busier in the evening.

Food is delicious, prices a little on the high side. It was nice to have an area for the kids to play while we finished our lunch. Also pet friendly.

Food is EXCELLENT!!! The price and the service however is a bit disappointing. Every side is extra cost and barely noticeable in the sandwich if any. If they mess up an order good luck getting it taken care of. This is a good place to eat if the weather is nice but definitely not in the summer time plus parking sucks.

They always have hot and fresh food here. I love coming here for lunch with little to no wait time. The fries are too delicious.

Food tastes great! A little greasy but delicious!! There bacon is crispy not fatty like most places. I ordered 2 days in a row because my son insisted!

GREAT sammies & very filling! The staff is extremely patient & more than willing to enlighten you on the menu. Everything was excellent the day we visited & will try out the take out only location on O'Connor soon as it is closer to our home. 5 stars all the way!!

We used to really enjoy this place. The last couple times we have gotten food from either HQ or little blue we have been really disappointed. Overcooked and hard fries, dry sandwiches with little to no cheese, and just overall ehhh food. We never minded paying a premium for their food before but maybe we will wait a while before trying again. Hope it goes back to what it used to be.

I have been eating Malik's Phamous Philly Cheesesteaks for several years now and I have never been disappointed. I was asked today to order with a co-worker and was so very excited to eat Malik's today. When the order arrived, I was very disappointed at the sandwich and ended giving it to my co-worker. The sandwich was less than half the size expected and certainly not worth the $11.00 paid. Sorry Malik's, I was very disappointed as you are one of my weekly favorites. Hope to see improvement. Authentic Philly Cheesesteak. Its a must go when in San Antonio. Make sure you BYOB.

To start its food truck if you didn't know. They are mobile which is nice and I had my eye on this place for some time. The man who welcomed us was helpful in explaining the options and best recommendations. In the end I went with a San Antonio staple of having their version of a hot cheeto philly. We also got a bacon ranch philly. The hot cheeto one was actually really good. The hot cheetos compliment the cheese wiz on the philly and it just worked. The bacon ranch had alot of flavor but was a bit salty and very greasy. Now don't get me wrong everyone knows a philly has to be greasy to be good but this was a bit overkill compared to my hot cheeto philly. So depending on what you like it could be good or bad. I loved the flavors of the bacon ranch but it was really heavy and a bit soggy compared to some of the others I saw. Look below to see the difference between the two. I recommend give it a try! The meat it self has good flavors and the options available have something for almost everyone.

You can't go wrong here. The food is always on point and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Love it

1st time their today, different setting with a BIG TRANSIT BUS. Asked for a Philly Steck with X-tras $15.70, waited 35 + minutes, the gadget they gave me, when order is ready, didn't signal. Somebody lost my order, cause no one was aware of the order, so i got a original philly $10.00, It was ok.Their was a price difference & i showed them and they gave me $2.25, i said no, it's $5.70 diference. The philly sandwich was ok. You bring ur own drinks. I'm not impressed.

Best Cheese Steak in San Antonio, Closest thing I found to back home. Yes! It's that Good. Lord help me , now that i know this location. It's less than a mile from my job. I already feel the extra pounds loading up. But it's so good

Okay I'm going start of by saying the really nice lady that took my order was soo friendly and so joyfull it put me in a good mood lol wonderful service:) The food was good the only bad things where it is kinda pricey I paid almost 20 for myself. Also the dining room inside had a lot of flys which is understandable flys get everywhere but you can't enjoy your meal like that. But other then that great place!

I visited the Maliks Philly Phamous.. at the San Pedro location .. 11/15/20 ..Ordered the original philly.. with extra steak and extra cheese... and parm and herb fries total came to 19.48... that was a large sandwich...!! The reviews ranked an average of 4.5 stars.... I was thinking I was going to have to the best cheesesteak outside philly... I was sorely mistaken... !!! I have had a better cheesesteak from Jersey Mike s ...!!! I was expecting an overstuffed sandwich with so much cheese... That every bite would be filled with gooey cheese and steak ... What I got was dried out steak with very little cheese.... I had a few cheesesteaks in my life time.... This all came out of a food truck... For an extra 8-10 dollars . I could have had a great full course dinner.... Y all need to step up your game... And have some better quality control happening at this location... I will visit the other location to compare... For a 20 dollar dinner out of a food truck I should expect a phenomenal experience... Otherwise no return business... Maybe I should have gone to Wise Guys... and had their sandwich.... I just feel really let down and sorta robbed of my money for this experience... Thanks..!!!

Great food but the wait could be better. Would suggest ordering in advance and still being prepared to wait in line while people pay. Still, it's part of what makes it good. Small enough that it isn't a mass production assembly line, but big enough that they've got an accessible location and are growing. Have literally never taken someone there for their first trip who hasn't raved about the food.

The quality of the food is top notch, but I m disappointed in the quantity this time around. We went last year for the first time and had an amazing experience.
Today, we ordered at the food truck on O Conner and the order online to pickup time was fast. However, the portions were smaller this time and not everything was correct on the cheesesteaks. I want to continue to support small businesses during this time but if I m paying $12 for cheesesteak fries then there should be a lot! I can get large fries at 5 guys and usually have too much to eat, all for $8. I spent $47 and It was an experience I was hoping for. All in all, I just ask they get bigger to go boxes...maybe that ll help.

The food is so good! Found them on fb and the food looked delicious,so glad I checked them out. They also have a cool little set up there to eat.

We ordered to-go, and the food was AMAZING! It actually traveled really well, did not get soggy or anything. I ordered the Original with mushrooms, and it was simple but so flavorful.
Also- I noticed a 1-star review because of the required masks, which I do not understand. Mask usage is a great thing; in food service, an abundance of caution is something you should WANT to see.
For us, that is all the more reason to return! Can't wait to try more of the menu

I been on vacation in San Antonio for 14 days, always do the same thing when I travel, go a different place every day and come back to the one I liked the most on the last day, this was that place, great service GREAT food. 5/5
