I have spent most of my week in their ICU with a family member. The nurses, doctors and staff have been incredible. I want to give an atta nurse to Lavonda. She has been incredible and respectful to my family member that has needed those qualities during his stay.

I had bilateral knee surgery at Peterson. The doctor was wonderful. The staff were warm and caring. I felt they genuinely were concerned for my welfare, and they were very responsive to my worries and requests. They patiently explained every step along the way. I am genuinely thankful for all their caring and services offered to me. Their positivity has helped me recuperate quickly from what could have been a scary overpowering experience. I highly recommend them.
Also the food is ordered, dish by dish, from a menu, and you can eat when you wish. The omelet yes we're scrumptious!

My wife delivered our son there.
While some of the nurses were good and helped comfort her and my son, the rest of the staff and doctors were not. I will never be bringing my wife or my son back to this hospital. We will be attending Hill Country Memorial in Fredericksburg from now on.

I came into the ER very sick... I no longer have insurance and expected to not be treated as well as those who have insurance. According to many people who have claimed bad service. Let me tell you, I was treated exceptionally well. My Nurses Michelle and Brea were absolutely amazing. Dr. Rhoade sat beside me and explained everything that was going on with me. Helped me in so many ways.... I feel truly blessed to have been treated by these awesome ladies..... they went above and beyond....

Cash patients beware!!! This hospital is ridiculous when it comes to money. I am a cash patient and after paying my bill and being told I won t receive any more bills, I got more bills! When talking to accounts representatives, they lost a $5500 dollar payment. Then found the payment and still said I owed more. I had them put the account on hold to dispute it. I was contacted by two different people, and when I called back, spoke to a third.... who had no idea the account was on hold, and so she put it on hold, and still didn t resolve to issue. They will charge you double. So really pay attention to your bill. Get an itemized receipt. They will charge you for things that the doctors did, which you ll get a bill for from the doctor (understandingly so), but the hospital wants you to pay them as well. Record conversations you have with the accounts people and get names of who you talk to because it s never the same person twice and they never know what you are talking about. It s very frustrating and almost laughable at how incompetent they are when it comes to billing.

I suffer from both gout and kidney stones due to kidney complications. Both are acute conditions that cause pain with a fast onset. Both require pain managment at times of flair up. Every time I enter that location I am treated rude, disrespected, and in a disciminating manner. I am treated like a "drug seeker". The problem is that I am a licenesed chemical dependency counslor and I am 110% sure I do not display any "drug seeking" behavior. This treatment is baised on staff bias and lack of training. In most cases I drive to Fredricksburg where I am treated fairly.

This hospital is awesome !! We are originally from Houston Tx, and my mother was admitted to this hospital for 2 weeks on an emergency. They had the best staff, they were caring, friendly, and on top of everything a clean facility.

The worst hospital, aside from university in san antonio.
the last time i wad there i suspected i had the flu.
I ended up seeing a PA for about 30secs, He said "yea ur sick, but i cant do anything about it, even if it is the flu."
Keep in mind, i was never swabbed for the flu or strep, never had him even examine me.
He literally came in made a statement and left.
Turns out, i do have the flu. Thx to HCM im taking tamiful.
This hospital had a history if falsr diagnosis, bad bedside manner, and no regard for HIPPA laws.
DO NOT WASTE UR TIME HERE.

Took my 89 yr old neighbor to the ER after a fall ...

Took my 89 yr old neighbor to the ER after a fall in which she broke her shoulder, humeris. Everyone was very nice. They considered her a fall risk and wanted to keep her overnight. We were there over 4 hours to get that decided. Never once did we see an x-ray or a doctor. A nurse gave her a norco on an empty stomach, she started throwing up about 30 min later. Don't know what time they got her to a room on the floor, but they let her sleep in her jeans!! Then this morning they wanted to do a bunch of tests to see why she had been vomiting. She declined. If anyone had asked, they would have learned that she had never ever had any pain medication in her life, that she had never been in a hospital before, that she was very nervous because after I left she had no clue what was going on because no one explained anything to her. She's hard of hearing, but she had her hearing aids in and was trying to figure out what they were saying, but everyone was talking fast and not looking at her when they spoke to her. While I was there they would say I'll be right back, leave and not show up again, which wasn't helping her nervousness.
I understand you get busy, and things happen. Maybe you could use a little geriatric training. You took the time to put hospital socks on her, why didn't you take an extra minute to get her out of her jeans and comfortable before you put her to bed???

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience where they refused to treat someone very close to me. Lied to me about the game plan to treat and then discharged aburptly and the condition got significantly worse. My husband has strict orders to take me to Boerne or Fredericksburg if ever I need an ER. It is terrifying to me that they would turn someone away in such a dangerous and unethical manner.

Had to go there for a "procedure". I have to say the experience I had with everyone there, from the front door greeter through the Nurses, Anesthesiologist and Physician was very cordial and friendly. They obviously enjoy working there and spread that to their patients. They are caring and at the same time willing to have a good time with you to help reduce stress when you walk / wheel through the doors. In my life I have had far too many surgeries and procedures but this facility ranks right up at the top of my experiences.

My mother needed ER services 2 days in a row, Saturday and Sunday. She was seen immediately, the staff addressed her need timely, we were updated on status at all stages of the visit, and everyone we encountered was professional and cared about our circumstances. She then spent 3 nights in the main hospital. The staff was again professional and cared about my mother's circumstances. The updates were easily obtained. The reason for a 3rd night was explained timely. The entire facility was clean and appeared organized. The cafeteria was clean, and the food was very good with many options at a fair price.

I have been to the ER at PRMC as a patient and my family has also received treatment there through out the years. My father was recently treated there for a heart attack! The moment I stepped foot in the ER my father and I received the best treatment that I could of hoped for during a horribly terrifying time! The nurses, tech s, clerical staff, and Dr. Toloza treated me and my father with efficiency, professionalism, and compassion; all of which are incredibly important when you think you might lose your father. Dr. Toloza s direct approach and honesty were unforgettable and my father and I are forever grateful!! To let you know the ending of the story... My father went into immediate surgery and had numerous stents placed! Without a doubt my father would not be here today if it weren t for the excellent care he received at the ER and by Dr. Toloza and her staff at the PRMC ER.

Dr. Clementson is awful. My son has asthma and came in 3 days after a surgery and was very sick. I couldn't keep his temp down with meds and he was wheezing. He was so lethargic he was laying in my arms like dead weight. We finally got a room and the doctor came and asked what was going on. I told him he just had his adenoids out and he was running 104 temp and his asthma was flaring up. He didn't even touch my son. He didn't listen to his lungs, he didn't check his temp again, he didn't do anything. He said well let's give him a Popsicle and see how he's feeling. I left and went directly to Fredericksburg hospital where they thoroughly examined him and ran flu and rsv tests. He had the flu and needed breathing treatments and meds for his asthma.

There are other doctors there who are excellent but if you get this doctor, leave immediately

So I am very pleased with the care we received and the caring of everyone in the Peterson Regional Medical Center ER. The CT guy took a lot of time to make sure my teenager was comfortable, explained the procedure, and praised the hospital staff. The doctor, once we had the diagnosis, instead of running more tests and setting us up with a surgeon, said her white blood cells are good, she has no fever, you aren t from here, would you like to go home and see your doctor. Yes I would! Having to check out and deal with the financial, the lady was patient, caring, and encouraging. This hospital was full of kind professionals and I am very grateful.

This hospital has undergone more than a physical transformation in recent years. My family has never had any issues with Peterson Regional. We have had to use the facility again lately. The staff are wonderful. I can't compliment the nurses in surgical prep enough. They are caring, attentive and of course, well trained. Everyone we were in contact with from presurgery to recovery were helpful and attentive. They answer questions with smile!

If I could give you a negative rating I would. Calling the medical center has been the worst experience I can ever recall when dealing with any medical facility. All I ever get is recordings. If they do return my call, it is days later. All I was trying to do was set up an ultransound. Now I know why I go to Comfort and Fredericksburg for other medical purposes. Please do something about your customer service and phone answering service.

Went in with a pretty painful ear infection (couldnt sleep or eat for around 24 hours) I know thats not serious and didnt mind the wait while more serious patients were taken care of, but they got me back pretty quickly. The nurses were all fantastic but the Dr. Ortiz came in. He checked the non infected ear first the walked around the bed grabbed the top of the infected ear and yanked it. When I yelled in pain he informed me that was how they tested for infection. He then proceeded to sam the scope in my ear and wiggle it around like my ear canal was a cavern then shoved it so far the end touched the back of my ear. After the Sadist felt I had been hurt enough he informed me that they used to have drops that worked really well for the pain but they were pulled by the FDA, but he was smart enough to write a bunch of prescriptions for his kids so they would have them, I however was going to get antibiotic drops which might start working in a few days and then I could eat and sleep. He also said I could try ibuprofren for the pain but it probably wouldnt work. Needless to say I will never be back at Sid Petes again and I wouldnt recommend anyone else go there either. Its midnight the next night, I still havent slept or ate and now the antibiotic drops are stuck in my ear causing even more pain.

Sat in the waiting room passing out and dizzy from the head pressure due to my tumor when the other people waiting to be seen questioned if I was okay and at the fact I was passing out and reinjuring my head the receptionist said they needed to eat and we needed to stop being unpatient they have ambulances. After passing out again one of the other patients told the lady she would let me go in front of her due to my severe condition and the lady said when the nurses and doctors had time to get to me they would and they would address my condition I came in for as well as my new injuries I received passing out in the lobby, the receptionist only brought out a wash cloth when I started bleeding from busting my head, she never helped pick me up from the floor when I passed out either, the other patients did

My granddaughter was in severe pain, we took her to the ER. The Dr. Eileen Toloza gave her pain and nausea meds and sent her out. She knew my granddaughter was having to drive to Tennessee, her home. We ask the Dr. to do an ultrasound, but the Dr refused, was very rude and uncaring. When my granddaughter got to Tennessee they found she had an ovarian cyst that had burst. She suffered for several hours while traveling.

I was on vacation and came to the ER. Was internally bleeding. ER staff were amazing and worked to stabilize me. Ended up there 5 days. Starting with the amazing Dr. Ducker and staff that did an EGD to stabilize bleeding, then to 3west nurturing me, blood bank recognizing an abnormal antibody in my blood, then off to ICU for amazing care with my two blood transfusions through a special blood warmer. Then finalizing in 2 west.
Thanks to Dr Walters, Dr Ducker, and all the amazing nurses that cared for me and made my missed vacation and scary adventure less scary and got me on the road to mending.
My wife and I will forever remember and you will be constantly in our prayers to continue your amazing and precious work.

So we go to Peterson Regional Medical Center to see what s going on with Vickie s arm, after Urgent Care said it was to serious for them. The Dr. said it s NOT a blood clot..... it is NOT an infection, nothing showed up on your x-rays. Everything we checked looks great! So, I said maybe tendinitis? Well, the female Dr. Toliza Said we are not here to tell you what it is .... We are here to rule out any life threatening issues! (So if the doctor were to bring me her Mercedes or Lexus and I were to look it over and tell her what were good with it, not correct the engine issue she would be fine hearing the Mass Air Flow Sensor is good, the computer is fine, and the timing is set perfectly! That will be 1500. Dollars! I m sure she would not feel that I had done my job as a mechanic!) I guess that is why they PRACTICE medicine! Because they sure are not doctors. I will say that the nurses and staff were very nice and seemed concerned. However the bottom line is we received no information on what it was or could be. The Dr. Wrote a prescription for 14 Ultram and said follow up with a Doctor hmmm, what the heck was she? They are a crappy hospital! I think it s time to address this issue with the medical board. I am STILL in awe!

An update: 12/7/17 she visited a real Doctor and it is indeed an infection and IS life threatening! At this point we may seek legal action. There was another test that should have been done but due to the fact it costs so much or just the plain lack of knowledge or care by Dr. Toliza it was not ran! She is now on very strong antibiotics and we are hoping the infection doesn t spread anywhere other than her still swollen and discolored arm! This is just plain malpractice! I also noticed that about 3 of the 1 or the poorest ratings were on Dr. Toliza! We will NEVER be back to Peterson!

We are new to the hill country area and coming from a large city where you have your choice of ERs to go too makes you great full for good service where good service happens. Last night was the second time in 6 months that we ve been to the ER and I have to admit that although skeptical because google reviews and people telling me of bad experiences I had relatively good experiences. I really have zero complaints. Both times severe pain was involved and all the staff handled the experience professionally and nicely. Peterson is the closest hospital too me and I don t see a reason why I would drive further to a different hospital. Good Job people!

I came in the ER with severe adominal pain. I was diagnosed with gallstones that wont dissolve or pass in June and was told my gallbladder needed to be removed to avoid further complications or else.ASAP. We were in the process of moving plus I did not have any insurance due to my husband changing jobs, so I had to be carefull. It was only matter of time and sure enough I had an episode. I was scared and in extreme pain and worried that I waited to long not knowing what was going to happen an without any insurance I broke down and my husband drove me to the hospital. I CAN'T THANK THIS HOSPITAL ENOUGH FOR THE KINDNESS THE COMPASSION, AND PROFESSIONALISM THEY SHOWED AND GAVE ME FROM THE MINUTE I WALKED THROUGH THAT DOOR. I don't know all the names of all who helped me threw this Sat. I'd like to thank them all starting with admissions. Elizabeth and the lady who checked me in to the one nurse who was carefull about about pricking me for the IV And Michelle who was their threw it all. The doctor who treated me I think his name was Dr. Mason. If I'm wrong please forgive me. Not having a primary doctor they hooked me up with a surgeon that will be able to fix me so I will no longer have these episodes and Il be able to live a normal life without all this pain THANK YOU AGAIN. Hopefully Il never have to go back, you all were wonderful I was so scared you got me through it. I highly recommend this hospital. I had a good experience. To me they deserve to be acknowledged.
Sincerely grateful, J. Scott

Worst emergency care ive ever seen, literally people having strokes and heart attacks in the emergency waiting room and nurses are just parking them in wheel chairs with no consultation. I sat there for over 2 hours without being seen and left after i witnessed such blatant disregard for human care. It was a wonderful experience this time. Over the years I have had many of this type of procedure done at many different hospitals but this time it was painless so to speak and all because of the staff. Our head nurse breezed us through check in and getting ready for surgery then when it was over helped us through checkout even so far as to wheel me to the car herself. She was a no nonsense person with a great sense of humor and told us what was happening all the way through. If I have to have this procedure again I will definitely come to Peterson Regional.

Went there and ate at lunch yesterday and we both got sick from the burgers, the food is usually great bc we would eat there all the time. So my wife ended up in the ER last night, they told her it was inflamed intestines and with pain meds she was still killing over in pain and they sent her home. She was still throwing up plus the other and still in a ball this morning in a lot of pain. The doctor we saw, saw our daughter a month ago and said she was fine. I didn't like what I was told so I took her somewhere else and she had swollen tonsils and a ear infection. They make me wonder some times about the care there. But the nurses are great and helpful.

My mother had major surgery, and for the most part her care was good. The biggest problem was the nursing clinical management and the consultation office across the hall was a constant visitation place during the day. They wouldn't step into the office, they would visit outside the door. Lots of laughing and talking loud. One time the person in the consultation office yelled down the hall at someone..i love you. This was very disruptive. She was having severe pain.

I lived in Kerrville for many years, so it goes without saying I had to go to this hospital. My worst experiences being in the emergency room. Dr. Eileen Toloza is one of the worst humans I have ever met. Not only did she tell me how pathetic and a waste of space I was but she did many times in many years. Anytime after the first time we met she would deny me care and tell the nurses to tell me to leave due to insurance. She judged me on the first time I came in. I was pregnant and I had overdosed. I was 17, homeless and I could say this nicely but had been raped by my father. I was just going through all the courts and cops and this woman came in and punished me. She left a huge Impact on my life. She refused me emergency care several times. If i could sue this woman I would. But all I can say is avoid her like a plague. Like i had to do anytime I needed care. Other things she did, in a room for three hours to tell me to leave, told me to leave when I was having 220 bpm heart palpitations. Had to be rushed to the hospital in fredericksburg to be diagnosed with Wolff Parkinsons white syndrome and told I had been in serious danger. This woman would of let me die. She hurt me in a big way, that I will never forget.

I have never had a single visit go well here! Out of 3 visits, I have had to wait 5-6 hours in the ER for a doctor. (Because I was only in a motorcycle wreck) the loud elderly mental patient had 5 people in his room. I was sent home without pain meds. Without antibiotics..... Road rash to the bone. Told I had a hematoma but it was a life threatening Morel Lorolee lession. I was black from my belly button to my big toe, front and back. They hardly cleaned my wounds. Infection set in and FINALLY they gave me the antibiotics they said they would. Once before my fiancee was miss diagnosed also with life threatening cellulitis. Its a great hospital to die in.

It has taken me over 3 months to write a review on this hospital. What was suppose to be the most exciting time of my life, ended up being the worst experience that I ve had to endure. My husband and I registered here over a month in advance to make sure we would have everything taken care of before I gave birth. The day we checked in, we were treated like people who didn t have any health care insurance. They walked us to our room at the very end of the hallway and we went through the process of getting settled. After about two hours or more a nurse came in and told us that they had other women to check in but was not registered for that day and they were going to make them their first priority. That made my husband and I very upset and we spoke to the nurse about our concerns but she assured us that we would be taken care of. After the nurse left, we didn t hear or see anyone else until close to 8 hours later. My husband went to look for someone and even told the front desk to get someone to our room. After about another couple of hours a nurse came to check up on me and informed us that we would have to leave the room because we didn t give birth yet and they were going to put someone else in the room. At this point I m very upset and informed them of the plans that me and my doctor had on me giving birth. The nurse stated to me that there was no plans and said that she would come back later to help us move out the room. I told my husband that it was time for us to just leave and go to another hospital if I was able to get up and move. To make a long story short, I was treat horribly. I had to have a c-section and they started cutting me right after I told them that I was able to feel everything. They wouldn t stop until I started screaming and the Anesthesiologist told them to stop an put me fully under. Before I went to sleep the anesthesiologists told me that she apologized because they didn t believe that I could feel everything. After all that everything got worse from there and the nurses on staff didn t change my sheets after I vomited on them. All they did was place another thin sheet over it. Nobody from this hospital truly called me to apologize or check up on me. I wouldn t recommend this hospital to anyone.

would rather have died than gone to this place after my car wreck. was in an auto accident back in 2017 and totaled my truck. went here cause it was the closest ER for severe pain. took a few days off work and went back for increased pain. told them USAA would be paying them, which they have however, a year and a half later of constant back and forth between my bank/insurance and Peterson regional i am being told i owe money still. i have a person who works in conjunction with the CEO of USAA working on this. Kim over in the billing department informed Melinda (my contact at USAA), who informed me cause i was at work, that the bills were squared away and all was good. they received the letter of reimbursement that was faxed over as USAA, Peterson and i were on the phone which after careful consideration, they said that they readjusted it and all was good. HMMMMMMMM????? a year and half of back and forth and now i still receive more calls stating i owe money? its a constant circle with Peterson as no one seems to have any idea what is going on. I've already been in the process of talking to my lawyer, the attorney of insurance and attorney general over this matter. my account gets put into review, i don't hear anything for a week to week and a half, then i get another call. i tell them what i was told as i have emails to prove it from USAA. goes back into review, then a phone call, then back to a 3 way call, then review. as i previously stated in the beginning, i would rather have died in my car wreck then have my buddy take me here had i known this was going to happen.

I don't understand all of the horrible reviews...I've been there at least 4 times to visit friends, once my self and took my friend there with a broken ankle. Never heard a complaint. The hospital is clean and modern and better than you would expect in a town the size of Kerrville.
I would suggest, if you need attention, go to Peterson and make your own judgements.

There priorities are messed up. Not properly staffed for a Friday night. They have a severe lack of urgency. If it wasn't the only one in the area we'd leave.

The drive to San Antonio would have been faster.

Extremely Poor - Complete incompetence and Disgusted. My mom has been in the hospital for 3 days with no diagnosis. No updates, no treatment plan and staff sits and mocks other patients - how unprofessional and disgusted with the overall lack of professionalism. End result, my mom is being transferred to a San Antonio hospital.

I went in for what I thought was a kidney infectio...

I went in for what I thought was a kidney infection. It was a kidney infection. I am in severe pain, anyone who has experienced a kidney infection would understand. I was treated well at first, but once they found out it was a kidney infection the doctor came in, spoke to me for 15 seconds. Wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. Up until now all is okay, I ask the nurse may I ask the doctor for something for pain, I am extremely uncomfortable.
She tells me to keep taking the Azo's, and says the antibiotics will help in a few days. She then says well I will get him if you want, making me feel very uncomfortable as if I am begging for drugs. A few days is an eternity when you are in pain.
I have a kidney infection!! My blood pressure is so high, she has me do breathing exercises before taking it. She says she wants a "pretty" blood pressure. I felt embarrassed for even asking, and here I sit at home, in pain, my primary care doctor can't see me for 4 days. That is the ONLY reason I went to the ER. So I can either suffer or actually go to an ER that cares for their patients.
What a horrible place. Everyone seems so nice but what good is it, if you leave there in pain and feel just as bad as you did when you got there.

Go to Fredricksburg if you can, I have heard they are a lot better.

UPDATE:

I saw my doctor on Monday. He was livid that they did not do a CT scan or even touch my back where my kidneys are, it is hot to the touch and swollen. I could have died over the weekend, literally. Yes it ruined my Easter but it could have ended my life. If you don't have really good insurance don't go there! I have insurance but it isn't good. I can't think of any other reason they would not have followed standard procedures.

I have called 4 times to file a complaint. The hospital will not call back. I am now going to start calling and filing with the big guns.

This is a retirement community, many people have Medicare here. I guess if you can't afford good insurance they would rather you just die off.

EDIT: One last word. The antibiotic I was given at Peterson's caused the skin to peel off my face! I STILL have a kidney infection, which I found out after be rushed to Fredricksburg last night.

Thank goodness for that hospital! Fredrricksburg probably saved my life. No one one was sugary sweet as they were at Peterson's but they were kind, professional and did there job! I am already feeling better, was given the medications I needed and sent on my way.

When I first moved to Kerrville, my father, a long time resident, said "I wouldn't take my pet to Peterson's, I understand why now. Unless you are going to bleed out before you get to the hospital go the extra 20 miles to Fredricksburg.

I had to go to the PRMC ER Unit and I have to say that the staff treated me with so much care & kindness. Dr. Toloza was by far the best doc I had ever had & she had the best bed-side manners when she was seeing me about my flu symptoms. I would highly recommend her when being seen at the ER.

Despite the unexpected life-altering pandemic of COVID-19, this marvelous hospital made me feel at home and at ease. I had a beautiful pregnancy and natural birth experience here!

My doctor was Dr. Wilfong, and she is very knowledgeable, caring and accommodating to any concerns that might arise. The whole staff is incredible! I used to faint when getting blood drawn or receiving vaccinations my whole life, so surely I was so afraid that I wasn't going to be able to handle the pain of giving birth, but my hope was that I could deliver naturally. I didn't go to doctors much before this, other than vaccinations, so this was all very new to me in many ways. I must mention that my triage nurse Vanya Keyser is such a joy and inspired me in so many ways to be confident!

I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am that I chose Peterson's. With the comfort provided and the encouragement of the nurses and Dr. Wilfong, my precious baby girl was born at 12:28pm! That's all under 8 hours! And guess what? No epidural, not even hydrotherapy, which is what I really thought I was going to need. I seriously felt like a warrior princess!

I will forever cherish my stay there, and give all of my praises to the hardworking Peterson's team in Kerrville, Texas!

I brought my little brother in and dr. Eileen Toloza was attentive, informative, and was satisfactory in her professional approach as a well educated doctor. She took excellent care of him as you would expect someone in the medical field to and we had no issue with the decisions she made on how to care for him along with the out of hospital instructions she advised.

There are some bad reviews but we decided to take a chance anyway, my 67 yr old husband needed to see a doctor. He'd had a cold, coughing, fever, sore throat and now sinusitis. The local urgent care does not have a physician on hand just a PA. So we went to Peterson Regional. They called him to the back within 10 mins. The PA, Charles Turner, was exceptional and very knowledgeable. Our experience was very professional. The nurses were great. A nice group of medical personal. Kuddos PR!!!!

I was having some issues went to the ER they got me in right away. The ER Doctor got me a specialist Dr. Wampler everyone was so caring and helpful. Always checking on me asking if I needed anything and ready to help. I came in at 7am and by 12 pm I was in surgery. When I woke up there was a nurse right there next to me ready to help. I was home in bed with my family by 3pm. So glad I went to Peterson Hospital for my issue. Great hospital and great staff

took my mom after she passed out twice. in the ER they established she
had an infection that had gone toxic. said they would admit her and get her on antibiotics and fluids asap. Once on the floor NOTHING was done. they NEVER hooked her up to fluids or even started an IV. The hospitalist came and visited with us but never prescribed anything. we kept asking
when they were going to give her fluids and the nurses kept saying, I;m sorry, not without an order. We spoke to the md and STILL no orders for anything. One of the employees secretly suggested we get her the H$%% out of there and that;s exactly what we did. And took her to another Hospital in Austin where they took care of her immediately, and rushed her into a room to start her antibiotics and fluids. SCARY Stuff at Peterson!!!!!!!

Do your self a favor and drive to San Antonio... The hour drive there is much faster than the four hour waiting room time at Peterson. If I was falling over dying I wouldn't set foot back in this hospital. Nothing nice to say.

Brought my son in because he was throwing up violently with high blood sugar and keytones and a severe sinus infection and bronchitis. They were very non cooperative and told us to sit in the lobby until a bed became available. I guess they have no idea what DKA means. We sat there for approx 30 minutes. I finally decided to take my son to Methodist in Boerne. Turns out he was in DKA with a blood sugar over 500 and severely dehydrated from throwing up. They had iv fluids in him in less that 10 minutes. Sid Peterson will never have another one of my family members fall prey to their sorry medical care EVER. I will find the necessary Channels to go through to make a formal complaint.

Brought my daughter into the ER. The nurses placed an IV and Dr Connor was unaware an iv was ordered, asking me what it was for. From the start Dr Connor stated she was too medically complex to be treated there. He has very poor bedside manner. Did not even discuss with me the results of anything he ordered. He by far is the worst dr I have ever experienced at PRMC. My daughter is usually seen at a children s hospital, but being so sick there are times when we canno travel the distance and she needs to be seen urgently. Unfortunately, I cannot trust that my daughter will be properly treated at PRMC ER.

Up until this morning all of the staff here at Peterson has been phenomenal. This morning I was JUDGED by Dr. Toliza for past mistakes. I have been Clean and Sober for a full year. Was here with OBVIOUS CELLULITIS , in excruciating pain. She refused to help me with pain, because,of something over one year ago. Forgiveness is not in her vocabulary. People change. Some for the better.
