Just returned from Peter's drive in. Have visited it for over 20 years and enjoyed it overtime. Tonight was ridiculous. The line was to the road, which is not unusual. It moved rather slow, but when it came time to split we went to the left hand side. Both lines were fully busy. After we split to the left we then stopped. 6 cars from the window and it took us 40 minutes to get up to the window and get our food. The right side of the building would have three to four cars go to every one on the left. It was beyond ridiculous. At one point I walked to the window and mentioned that the line was extremely slow compared to the other side. I was told that the other side had double staff because it was busier. Since both lines were as long, that made no sense. Again a 5 minute wait for the car ahead of us. They were furious- cars behind us were honking, everyone was frustrated and loosing patience. Again I walked to the front to mention to them what was going on in the line. The manager Paula was there. She again reiterated that the other side was busier and so they had more people on. I pointed out that both lines were as long, and people were fed up. She proceeded to argue with the lady in front of us who was currently at the window and had had enough. Regardless of how horrendously slow our line was she was not going to do anything to help it. This manager was incompetent in dealing with the situation and running the restaurant. When we finally got our order it was wrong. The strawberry banana shake was a banana shake, though the right order was written on the side. It was also melted and we were not given straws.
Hopefully Peter's will address this issue with management.
