A friendly welcome by the floor staff. The Decor is plain and simple, but the views are breath-taking. Starting off with the entree of jumbo prawns. lacking seasoning within the prawn mix, but still had some flavour. For the main course i had the barramundi fish and chips, nothing special at all. fish was overcooked, chips having a slightly burnt flavour to them and little to no seasoning at all, very disappointing. finally the dessert, a traditional sticky date pudding. nothing to be faulted, plain and simple.

Service was casual, friendly but not to the standard i was expecting. over all an average meal with stunning views. 6/10

We went here after a recommendation from a colleague. We had no reservation but they were very accommodating for the four of us. The seated us right by the window so we were able to view the lit up Opera House at night. We also witnessed an engagement there that evening and the staff was very discreet! The woman had no idea and yes she said yes!

It was a bit of an upscale restaurant so we do not recommend bringing children there although there was a children's menu for those that do.

Our meal was very good but our waiter was a bit spacey. The drinks are a bit pricey.

Check it out for a great view and an experience!

Peter Doyle @ The Quay is a seafood restaurant that my wife and I go to a couple times a year as we really enjoy their freshly cooked cold seafood platter.

As a family we used to go to Doyles at Watsons Bay with my parents & grandparents so we continue the tradition by still frequenting both restaurants now passing along to a fourth generation.

Sitting outside on a summer afternoon attacking a seafood platter for two with a bottle of white wine while looking at the Sydney Harbour & Opera House is truly majestic and something hundreds of thousands of tourists enjoy every year.

I highly recommend this restaurant and in my opinion one of the best seafood platters in Sydney. If you can recommend another one, please drop me a note and we'll definitely go try it out....we love our seafood and always eager to hear of other platters to sample.

Good service, around AUD 80 pp for three courses no wine. Service seems a bit abrupt at first but generally friendly, food was excellent as was the setting in the quay. Seafood restaurant primarily. recommend the king prawns with mango as well as the salmon

Premium quality seafood experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality you receive. Food was delivered in a timely fashion with very attentive and efficient waiters. The vibe was great, perfect location for a romantic date. The shared platters I would definitely recommend for variety and quality. All round great experience.

Amazing view.

Amazing view.
Really.
Try to get a table on the side facing the Opera House, you'll be thrilled!
Their Salt and Pepper Squid are just fantastic, with a perfectly crunchy golden batter.
And if you're a prawn lover, just go for their Jumbo Prawns, filled with yummy stuff, battered and fried... I'm hungry now!!!
But you should really try the Cold Seafood Platter...Lobster, prawn, crab, Morton Bay bug.

You can't try and be a proper seafood restaurant and have half your menu be deep fried. $42 for deep fried shrimp and chips? Could have got that for less than half at ANY nearby pub. Service was also average to bad.

the waiter greeted us and completed ignored us and started talking to someone else. service was ok and did not feel welcome at all. Very little effort was made to make us feel welcomed. felt like a guest that inconvenient staff. not recommending to anyone.

We have been going to Doyles at the Quay since 1989 and have never had a bad meal or bad service.
Where on earth am I ever going to find stuffed jumbo prawns?
See you around Alan and thanks for all the great tables you gave us to impress our international visitors with the spectacular views of Sydney.

Very reasonably priced considering the amazing location and outstandingly good food. Brilliant seafood with options for those who prefer something else. The staff were friendly and very attentive as well.

Want amazing views with your meal? Look no further. The seafood is always fresh, if you can't make up your mind what to have, the Tasting Plate is a great way to start and the Jumbo Prawns are delicious. The sharing platers are pretty big, easily feeds 3-4 people, especially if you ordered entrees. A great place to take out of town visitors for a good meal with beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Elegant restaurant with sweeping views of the bay. The service is excellent, the waiters are very friendly and the dishes are meticulous in both aesthetic and substantial detail. We highly recommend it.
