Pet Partners is a great organization! We currently have three registered therapy llamas and they have been very helpful in getting this accomplished.
Being a part of this amazing organization has been rewarding beyond description. The support they have given our therapy husky Bellin (and us) in helping children in crisis has been monumental in helping them recover.
We have been reading to Lucky for several weeks. He and his handler are AMAZING!! Game changer for my kiddo s reading interest and time at the library. Thank you!!
Not a very straightforward process when making a claim. Takes them forever to acknowledge your claim and then you don't hear from them. They did pay out eventually but they should just get on with it and stop stalling.
Love Pet Partners!!!! The staff is wonderful and very attentive to their clients! Have been with them for over 10 years and am thrilled with the program. I have seven llamas registered through them. Annie the President is very caring and hardworking. Can't say enough great things about them!
Pet Partners is, by far, the most comprehensive, professional program available for those wanting to provide animal-assisted activities with their pet. They are very supportive of all the volunteers - human and animal.
Pet Partners were fantastic in supporting me and Buttercup getting registered as a team. Thank you!
Honestly, if I could give them a 0 I would. This group is incredibly unprofessional and not helpful. I have been with them for more than 20 years and the last 2 years with them have been nothing more than pure hell. Feel free to look me up...there are many other options out there! This is NOT the group it used to be.
I have had a terrible experience with this organization. I spent MANY hours and several 100 dollars jumping through their hoops. Then they mixed up our evaluation time , then denied my dog after he did everything perfectly but I did not say leave it when he walked past a toy he didn t see! It is their loss not mine! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GET INVOLVED with this group. Also they quit answering the phone, their polices are A JOKE and I think cruel and dangerous!!!!!

Pet Partners: Enhancing Lives Through Animal-Assisted Therapy
Pet Partners is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to improving human health and well-being through the power of animal-assisted therapy since 1977. The organization's mission is to promote the human-animal bond and provide people with access to the benefits of animal-assisted interventions.
The Pet Partners Therapy Animal program registers nine species of therapy animals: therapy dogs, therapy cats, therapy horses, therapy rabbits, therapy birds, therapy llamas and alpacas, therapy rats, therapy guinea pigs, and even therapy pigs. These animals are trained to provide comfort and support to people in various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools or disaster areas.
The Pet Partners Therapy Animal program is one of the largest in the world with over 13 thousand registered teams across all 50 states in America. The organization also has international partnerships with countries such as Canada and Japan.
What sets Pet Partners apart from other organizations is their rigorous training process for both animals and handlers. All potential teams must pass a comprehensive evaluation that assesses their behavior around people and other animals before they can become registered. This ensures that only well-behaved animals are allowed into facilities where they will interact with vulnerable populations.
In addition to providing animal-assisted interventions through their Therapy Animal program, Pet Partners also offers educational resources for individuals interested in learning more about animal-assisted therapies. They offer online courses for healthcare professionals on how to incorporate animal-assisted interventions into their practice as well as workshops for individuals interested in becoming registered handlers or evaluators.
Pet Partners' impact on society cannot be overstated. Their work has been shown to improve physical health by reducing blood pressure levels and decreasing stress hormones like cortisol while increasing endorphins which promote feelings of happiness. It has also been shown that interacting with animals can improve mental health by reducing symptoms of depression or anxiety disorders.
In conclusion, Pet Partners is an exceptional organization dedicated to enhancing lives through animal-assisted therapies. Their commitment towards ensuring only well-trained teams enter facilities where they will interact with vulnerable populations sets them apart from other organizations offering similar services. With over four decades of experience under their belt coupled with an extensive network across all 50 states in America plus international partnerships; it's no wonder why so many people trust them when it comes down choosing an organization that provides quality care using trained pets!
