Pestana Palace Hotel & National Monument Review

Very nice hotel. Be sure to read the fine print of your rooms when you register. There seems to be quite a difference in room size and amenities. Some have coffee makers. Some don t. Some have balconies or porches and others do not. Our room ended up being quite dark and gloomy.

Has very nice indoor and outdoor pools. Not quite big enough for lap swims but can do in a pinch. Has gym and on site spa for massages. Pool area also includes hot tub, sauna and steam bath.

Breakfast bar is very nice. Lots of breads, fruits, cheeses and meats to choose from. Different styles of eggs, pastries, yogurts in cereals. Coffee, tea, juices, and mimosas available too. Really wish we could have such nice breakfast spreads in the states but hey, that s one of the things that makes Europe special.

Location is close to Belem and the Conference Center. Quite far from the down town tourist sites though.

This is truly one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. The hotel is amazing with a charm of a bygone era.
The rooms are spacious, the garden is in a great condition.
The staff at the reception could be a bit more friendly and less in a hectic. However, the staff in the restaurant makes up for everything again. They pay attention, react immediately and have an eye for details. The breakfast was very delicious.
We will definitely stay here when we are in Portugal again.

It is just beautiful. It is so relaxing, quiet and comfortable. The garden is incredible, full of flowers and magnificent trees. Personnel is very nice and smiling. I will come back for sure.

A beautiful and quiet place. Where you can enjoy a kind of "unkown how possible" private moment everywhere in the hotel. They have the attention of detail that can be compared to their astonishing piece of art of a Palace, which has to be one of the most stunning place I have ever had the pleasure to sleep and live, when you have un mind the kind of architecture and design. Although, you have to prepare your pockets and, with that in mind, you'll have the chance to experience a wonderful day or couple of days.
Furthermore, in this Covid time, they have a special attention to hygiene and space.

Lovely old Palace but needs an update and some annual maintenance.

Nice hotel suround by beautiful garden. Good choice of breakfast. Great pool and spa. Most important - very helpful staff.
