Went there for our anniversary dinner. It was a cold, wet, windy night but we were not disappointed. Great service by Julie, fantastic food. My wife asked our waitress to give her compliments to the chef. She knows good food as our son and her dad were both chefs

Absolutely great food. Antonio was an awesome server. Mahi and crab was out of this world. Will be a favorite establishment for dining from now on. I highly recommend this restaurant for menu that is always something beyond the average seafood or steak restaurant.

Absolutely the worst meal we have ever paid for! We give everything a chance without passing judgement. The food was terrible! We dont mind paying the price if the food is good. The food, drinks and service was bad. My first and last!

Always perfect. Consistent in Quality of Food, service and ambiance. The salmon was tender and cooked perfectly and the burrata, made by the chef to accommodate my dietary restrictions was amazing. Thank you for a beautiful evening.

It was ok, I was expecting so much more since I've heard such great things! They mostly only have seafood and my crab cake was pretty fishy. They don't have homemade ranch which was shocking for a place as nice as this one. They do have a really nice view on the water and the service was good. Just wasn't worth an hour drive and $120 to me!

This place for me is strictly a drinking spot. The food is tremendously over priced and isn't what you would think for how much you pay. However the atmosphere is great and the service is on point. Views from the deck are quite a sight. If you want a place to have a good beer and appetizers then go for it. If you want a tasty lunch and dinner entree then don't go here.

Tried it again. Great water front view. Nice ambiance. Terrible Service Cold appitizer. The servier finally showed up and took our order for dirnks (we ordered hose specialties) some 10 minutes later, we asked about our order and she said "I need to put that in" and then asked me what my order was. Ordered a beer. finally got the drinks and crab dip, the dip was not war and somewhat congeialed. Yea, OK. Very diappoineted at this resturant, again, at this price point and with the awards the chief has received. maybe he should take care of the resturant and leave the contests to others.

Like when you go to spend a beautiful time with your family and the host tells you to wait until be sitting and after 15 minutes, suddenly (when they hear you speaking Spanish) there's no table for party of 6. The thing is that in front of us arrived a party of 5 and they was sit in.
Thank you for nothing and for the uncomfortable situation.

We went to Persimmons for dinner on the last night of our vacation in North Carolina. It was the best food I've had in a long time! I got the deconstructed beef wellington which was AMAZING (the scalloped sweet potatoes are to die for) as did my mom. My dad got the red snapper which he said was really good (they accidentally gave him salmon but he got the correct dish in under 10 minutes). The appetizers and desserts were both also very good. They even had my favorite wine which gives them a bonus point. Definitely make a reservation. The wait staff was good and attentive. Will definitely go back the next time we're in New Bern!

Absolutely the BEST setting in New Bern. Family gathering and had a great experience. Staff are average to better. Sat outside and for kicks ordered the rib eye dinner for two. Worst $84 dollars ever spent in a restaurant! Presentation was as plain as could be....3" thick 20 oz steak and bone (giant) in a plate of dark brown "sauce" that tasted too much like soy sauce. Two very average shrimp layed on top. No garnish, sauce was dribbled over side of plate,, one plate only (for two??) - asked for another and were given two bowls(??). And steak was no where close to a tasty rib eye. That was after we got through the 5-8 ounces of grissle around the edge. Raw in the middle, and outside was well done. In between, barely the requested med-rare. Total disappointment! And the cheese grits must have also been from a box. Terrible, especially for a "southern restaurant"! Brussel sprouts were baked and not really anything great. However, the final pumpkin cheesecake slice was huge and FANTASTIC. Saved the whole thing....well, back to barely average meal. But for $84, horrible experience with this meal and do not reccomend. Expectations were SO much more. And nothing said at the restaurant as caught up in the "family gathering thing". Guess that is what they count on when they serve something this poorly done. Final note: The other meals purchased appeared to please, but really were not something raved about. Good experience with friends and/or family, just not the greatest food by any measure.

It was Chris birthday and we decided to have for dinner or lunch add Persimmons in New Bern. The atmosphere was fantastic can't ask for better the food was really good they had some really different dishes. The macaroni and cheese/w bacon was a different spin. I ordered the ribs, Chris had the double cheeseburger, pink eyed peas salad but was a bit pickley. Bill had the crab cake sandwich and didn't care for the pink eyed peas salad. Cheryl got the fish and chips that wasn't a sandwich so didn't sit well with her. I strongly suggest this restaurant.

Beautiful location. We had reservations at five and told them we were there, but they forgot and twenty minutes later we went back up and had to wait while they set us up. We had a large party, but I had to go up to the front to ask for our waiter to order more drinks. And then again for the check.
And, two of our orders came thirty minutes after everyone else's.

Beautiful views and good service on the evening we went. It was a Friday evening and we sat outside. We ordered heavy apps and were also treated to a kitchen "ooops" where the chef apparently made 2 dishes that weren't ordered. It was an unexpected treat, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the dish. It was Mahi with pistachio in some sort of meat ragu with sweet falafel-like hushpuppies. Really odd and not appetizing. Overall, the food was good but not great in my opinion. Definitely pricey. I would say it's a great spot for drinks.

The hostess was rude and actively discouraged us from coming in to dine saying they were full, yet empty tables were apparent and it was an hour till they closed. The hostess, fat and snarky was clearly more interested in whispering with other staff about guests than her job. Food was way over priced and of only marginal quality. House wine was poor and 40% higher than comparable venues. I have experienced better treatment and service in watergront dives with roaches than in a wannabee upscale, and not, establishment like thus. Save your money and move on to more local establishments. You will be treated better and the food delicious without pretense.

I normally don t post bad reviews, but it was hands down the worst meal we ve ever had in new bern. Mahi was extremely tough and chewy, shrimp & grits were not good (the grits were hard and undercooked) and the service was extremely slow. We had a group of 8, and no one was pleased with the food. To top it off, we saw a huge roach crawling up the wall after we ate. Very disappointed for such an upscale restaurant.

I travel a lot and I must say this is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in my travels
Chef Antonio Campolio has got it going on! The next time you are in New Bern this place is right on the water and has fantastic views and excellent food and the wait staff is one of the best ones I've ever experienced!

We decided to stop there for drinks and to hear the band. Drinks were expensive and they improvised because they ran out of an ingredient. At $11 per drink I want to know before my drink is made that I'm not getting what I ordered. Very disappointed!!!
