Their website never works for me when it comes to making online payments or trying to set up auto-pay. We live in the 21st century. I shouldn't have to resort to mailing in a check every month or paying my bill by phone.

terrible customer service and terrible utility provider. I called in to transfer service (sold my house/new owner) and everything went fine. The home buyer also called to transfer the service on 8/15. but apparently they didnt cancel the service until 8/21. They told me that the buyer started paying for service on 8/15. Yet they are still charging for service. They told me if you call in to transfer then you need to call in a second time to confirm the transfer (yet they never told me this when I called the first time, so obviously i didnt call again). They are DOUBLE billing both me as the home seller and the home buyer also. Making us both pay for service from 8/15-8/21!!! SCAM

It's very clean, seems to be Perfessional. The customer assistance was Polite, Curtious, Patient & Professional; Also answered Questions I Ask about..So far Very Very Nice. I hope it continues this way.. The wait time wasn't bad either. HAPPY HOLIDAYS YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU ARE SERVING. THIS GOES FOR ALL GOV'T. Places In THE METROPOLITAN DC AREA. YOU WILL BE RATED. AGAIN...HAPPY HOLIDAYS THIS INCLUDES HEALTH CLINICS..SO BE WARE WE'RE WATCHING..TO RATE YOU BY THE GOV. FROM THE GOV.

I mean, I deal with PEPCO because I have to but truly they are horrible. I receive a magical "revised" bill for a period covering almost 4 full months of service - despite ALSO having received a monthly bill for each month during this time period, which I paid on time/full each month. I call and it takes the customer service rep several "please hold" moments to even figure out what is going on. She then says that my meter has not been read by PEPCO for a period of 4 months. Seriously, you couldn't read my meter for 4 full months but still found a way to send me bills?! How do I know that the meter is sending readings now? How do I know that the meter isn't still broken or malfunctioning? How can I trust what I am being billed if the company isn't able to pull a reading from the meter they installed on my home? And rather than alert me to this issue, you just conjure up more numbers and send me a bill. These people are crooks!

Sent my final bill to collection agency without co...

Sent my final bill to collection agency without contacting me at any point. I had thought I paid it at time of cancellation, but apparently not and I take responsibility for that. They had my phone number and a forwarding address. I actually opened up a new account 5 months later and paid 6 months of bills on time for that account before I received a notice from a collection agency a year and 3 months after the first account was closed about the previous bill. I was never late once in two years paying their bill. Hard to pay a bill you never receive or know existed.
Customer service did nothing but defer and make excuses and say that it was not their problem or issue. I admitted I owed the money, paid it...thru the collection agency, but wanted some answers about how it got to that point and received nothing but I m sorry sir but we can t guarantee that we know you owe money.
Sounds like if you never want to pay just keep opening new accounts!!

If possible avoid this company as much as possible...

If possible avoid this company as much as possible they are thieves as they will try to double charge you and even if you request to cancel service they will have no record of you ever requesting it then they will try to make you twice like everyone on here has posted. I even got told check with your bank when they could not even provide any proof that they attempted to charge the last months service on autopay. They should be reported to the BBB! It would probably be smart to record your calls with them because they will come up with any lame excuse
