Been here many times over the years. I know sometimes it gets a bad rap, but I've always been treated well there and would continue to go if I was in need of their services. I actually have many memories of PVH, both good and bad, which could be said of most hospitals.

4 am kidney stone attack. Was very pleased with the attention and professionalism of the staff there... especially Dr. Shannon ... they did the scan and had results in a reasonable time frame... good advice and a prescription, and i was on my way ... way better than trekking all the way to Bangor from that area of Maine ....

Very good Hospital, when I go to the Emergency Department I know that I will be examined and treated based on the seriousness of my illness or injury. I understand that I will have to wait while others are treated before me... They have an emergency.! I am not going to die, just be a person and have compassion for others who are in worse shape than me... Peace

Most horrible experience I've ever had in any hospital! Came in with excruciating stomach pain was left sitting in a bed for almost an hour before even speaking to a nurse and having my vitals checked only to have to wait for over another hour to be seen by the doctor after watching two different people that came in long after me be seen & released. Was told I would be transferred to another bed for a better exam & blood work only to once again wait almost TWO Hours to have a different doctor come in & go over everything I already told to the first doctor who left for the day. All this time not once was I ever offered anything to help with the pain or even a drink. Waited almost another hour after asking for something & being told they would bring me somethingto help as I lay crying in pain only to be ignored. Finally gave up & left with no answers & still in pain. Maybe if I had insurance I would have been treated better
