We had a very nice spa break there, but i am not sure i can call it a luxury experience.

The spa is lovely and has great facilities, but they did nit have staff to fulfill the menu of tratment on offer, it was not that the tratments were fully booked, they did not have anyone to do the treatmants.

The breakfast was nothing spectacular either, it is like what you would get at a Holiday Inn for example, not that that is bad, but it is not luxury.

Overall it was a nice place with great spa facilities, but the experience was not as advertised.

Spa was nice, great kitted out large gym, but dinner in the brasserie was London prices but REALLY average at best. The waiter had zero good conversation or advice around the food (you want people with passion for the food).

You could get a meal twice as good at half the price in the city.l, it was pretty bland and nothing I would ever order again. The breakfast spread was excellent though and the best meal we had, the service in the bar area when seated during the afternoon was pretty terrible. No one is really looking up and checking if you need anything, or coming by your table at all once they gave you your original drink. I spent 5 minutes trying to waive someone down.

This place is stunning. From the moment you turn into the long drive and then arrive at the front door where your bags are taken from your vehicle and parked for you. To you luggage taken to your room adds to the wonderful experience this place has to offer. Not forgetting the wonderful views and all you can do being a spa hotel. It's not a cheap place but well worth it if you can do it.

Today did the jazz lunch. What a great experience, easily met and even beat expectations. All the staff were superb. Loved Dorris breaking out into a dance. I'm not an expert in jazz, but I thought the band were great and went to every table and asked for a request. The buffet food was really good quality and as much as you can eat. Also lovely bar area to have a pre and post drink. Thanks a lot.

As a group of friends who 21 years ago were in our NCT class together, we celebrated our babies being 21, and significant wedding anniversaries for us all, with afternoon tea here. It was a wonderful and special experience. Fizz, refreshed endless tea of choice, tasty sandwiches....and then the pastry chef arrives at your table! He brought still warm scones, clotted cream and jam, a delicious palette cleanser and explained the delicate cakes. All this and a harpest played in the background! The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful.

A great spa resort with everything you need for a relaxing stay - great food and service, comfortable rooms, excellent spa area with saunas, dry heat, plunge pools, etc. The spa services aren't outrageously expensive, the staff is friendly, professional, and every service we purchased was performed excellently.

We will go back, and encourage anyone else to go.

The staff here are fantastic, very friendly and approachable.
We had an issue caused by our booking agents Secret Escapes and the hotel dealt with this perfectly, rectifying the issue quickly.
We stayed in the Royal Lytham and St Anne's room and it was a lovely suite. The bathroom really stood out with the TV over the whirlpool bath and double sinks.
Breakfast was amazing, tip make sure you look at the menu as well as the buffet as we nearly missed the waffles which are cooked to order.
The main attraction of the hotel for us is the spa, it's brilliant with lots of different sauna style rooms to try (it looks like they are adding more as well) with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and jacuzzis.
They used to have some massage chairs in a side room and our only disappointment was that they are no more!
We have been back a few times now and I'm sure we will again.
Thanks Pennyhill.

Beautiful hotel stayed here for a work conference. Staff are friendly and professional food is amazing and the spa is lovely. I could have stayed in the outdoor pool all night. I've knocked a star off as the aircon broke in my room during the night but I did report and the concierge team where apologetic.

Afternoon tea was lovely. Beautiful patisserie selection, offered more sandwiches. The only thing that could be improved was we had to ask for more tea, for more water and the bill - so slightly more checking in from the staff would be great, but overall everyone was welcoming and friendly.

Absolutely fantastic. It s the closest to perfection I ve experienced as a hotel spa. I ve been 3 times now and my wife has been many more, possibly over ten times! And, she s very discerning. You will not be disappointed. Worse part - leaving.

My review here is relative to the hotel being a five star and competing against Spa hotels such as The Grove and Coworth Park. Pennyhill Park is an okay hotel but doesn t come close to these two:

PROS
- The spa facilities are fantastic. Probably the best Spa that I ve been to in the UK.
- Great breakfast buffet.
- The brasserie food was really good.
- Large bedrooms

CONS
- The biggest thing that lets Pennyhill down is the staff. The moment you go to a place like Coworth Park, you are made to feel like the most important guest in the world. It s in their DNA. Pennyhill completely lacks this. The door staff were great but the reception staff were fairly abrupt. We arrived at the hotel at 1pm and were told we could use the spa facilities yet at the spa the staff were complaining that reception shouldn t be sending people early. Do not expect 5* service that you get in hotels like The Dorchester etc because you won t.
- The bedrooms are very dated and you can see lack investment. For instance:
1) Really dated bathrooms
2) Thin, worn (& stained) carpets
3) lack of plugs / no USD sockets that you get in any invested hotel
- No turndown service which means no fresh / dry towels which is a basic service for a 5*
- The bedrooms have no aircon. We had a Dyson fan in the room (would have been better if the oscillating feature wasn t broken)
- Poor service in the bar. Slow and tables left dirty around us for an hour+

All in all, it was a pleasant stay but if you want to experience true 5* luxury, there are better hotels.

We had a 2 course lunch at the Brasserie on a wet and windy Thursday. Food was incredibly average and the Brasserie felt like a cafeteria. The thai fishcakes were, we assume, frozen and lost on a plate of raw bamboo shoots. The beef More

Absolutely incredibly spa - highly recommend for a weekend away. The only thing that made me give it 4 stars rather than 5 was due to the fact that it s been very busy both times I went (it s most noticeable at the spa - eg you sometimes have to wait a while to use the hot tub as it s full). If you don t mind that though, then it s 5 stars. The massage I had there once was good but also probably 4 out of 5.
