The overnight Paranormal tour we went on here was absolutely horrible. The staff was completely disorganized, unprofessional, they lost the keys to get into the building so we had to wait an extra hour to actually start investigating, and they didn t even introduce us to the building or give us a tour/background info of the specific building we went in. There were WAYYYY to many people in the group so you couldn t get any evidence , not to mention the haunted house attraction across the campus was going on at the same time and so loud you could hear it through the walls. One would think they might have planned that better so the two don t interfere. Of all the hunts I ve ever been on I was most excited to go here, only to be horribly let down. I do not recommend this paranormal investigation to anyone especially an experienced investigator unless you want to waste $100.

The lines were very long! But we had fun. I spent most of my time waiting, trolling the internet and reading about the history of Pennhurst. It is very interesting and disturbing. We had a lot of fun. It was set up really cool. I would definitely go back.

This was one of my favorite haunted places. The history of Pennhurst Asylum is very interesting. The place it's self is overwhelming. It sit on the outskirts of a small town on 110 acres. The landscape on the ride was beautiful as it was in the fall so the trees were changing if you're from out of town it's a must.

Not impressed with this year s performance. It felt very rushed and just wasnt scary at all. I went a few years back and it was much much better and was one of my favorites that ive been to. This year ruined it. I understand things had to be slightly altered because of covid, but it just was not worth the money or drive. I waited in lines longer than the actual walkthroughs. Definitely not worth your money.

From the moment you arrive on the property you are aware that Pennhurst Asylum isn't like most other haunts, even the drive to the parking area and the walk from the parking area through the woods to the ticket area are a bit eerie. Every year Pennhurst Asylum is one of my favorite haunted attractions to visit. Their sets & props are movie quality and their actors are always committed to their role of scaring, or just plain creeping out each customer. I have been to the regular attractions many times, including earlier this season, but last night we attended the blackout event which was a first for me. Wow! I don't usually get freaked out at haunts but by the time we were done the 3rd attraction I needed to stop, take a break and get my heart to stop racing before visiting the haunted Mayflower building to look for spirits who may not have left the property. Whether you choose to go on a regular night, a blackout event, one of their campouts or one of their daylight tours, Pennhurst Asylum truly is a must visit for any haunt enthusiast!

Absolutely phenomenal, I travel around several states to see different haunts and I also act at a haunted attraction. Pennhurst Asylum is my absolute favorite haunt out of all of them. I travelled 5 hours to visit this place. I went on high intensity night this year and black out night last year. I love the line actors, saw blade performers, and sword swallowers that where present. The three separate haunts themselves are fantastic. Set design, acting, and just overall ambiance is breath taking. Keep up the great work, I ll be back again next year!

This attraction was terrible. They yelled at you for not social distancing in line, but there was no social distancing once you were in the attraction. They were rushing people through. There were more guards and security than actors. The attractions were dull, boring, all of the actors were dressed the same.there wasn t a lot of unexpected scares due to pushing people through too many at a time. While I understand they cannot due this to the fullest extent, you should get creative. I d give this 0 Stars if I could.

I went to Pennhurst Asylum for the first time. I had a blast yes being with tons of people and not enough time to see everything was a buzz kill. I loved being touched it was unexpected and made things 100 times better. I been in a Mental hospital before and the touching is way worse then this believe me. I got to interact with employees and get to see a lot of great things from actors, scenes, Animatronics, Etc. The Mayflower building was wicked! I got to see stuff from the past and actually get the feel of what it was like being there and able to take photos was a plus. Reason why the prices are somewhat high is because it's an old asylum and their is damage due to people, weather, and time. They have to use that money for new things for the attraction, pay for the upkeep and pay the state so they can continue to keep it running. It's common sense. Just pay for the actors part if you don't wanna go to the Mayflower one. Read the website before spending your money and coming up here crying about it. Pennhurst has so many people a night and not enough staff members so of course your gonna get rushed and they are trying to get you through before closing time which is not a problem. Overall I had a great time.

My wife and i did a day tour here. It was super awesome to learn about the history and to walk the grounds of this famous place. Our tour guide Chris was the best, highly recommended. If you need any help with directions, take Pennhurst Dr, turn right on Brown dr and keep on that road.

Drove two hours to experience this. There are 4 attractions and all are 18$ each. The very last attraction, the Mayflower was just a building that they said was haunted and we could take pics of and they had some artifacts about the building. That was not worth 18 bucks unless ur in to that type of stuff. If u buy 4 tickets, one to each attraction you only save 4 bucks vs buying them individually. The containment was the best attraction. It was like a real underground fall out shelter. The employees were great. They had some good animatronics. The three reasons I disliked this place and only giving a three stars, are as follows. One is cuz we were very rushed thru each attraction by employees. The wait times in each line we're about 30 mins but I'd of waited an hour if that meant we got to actually look at everything. Two is that they don't really do small groups and allow ppl so closely together that we knew what was coming before we got to the scene. Three is the cost of a can soda was 2 bucks!!! That place is banking some huge money. Also while there we witnessed a woman who ended up being in pain and had to leave just after buying her tickets. She barely walked from the ticket booth and was told she could not get a refund. I thought that was really wrong. Overall this is a place that I would never personally visit again and if I did, it would only be for the containment attraction. Sorry for the long review but I could of took my kids to this place as it was not that scary.ainly loud noisies and flashing lights. Very diasppointed after all the hype I heard about this place.

I bought VIP tickets so I won t wait in line and that was the only thing I was ok with. ITS REALLY NOT SCARY . YOU SEE ALL THE ACTORS BEFORE THEY CAN EVEN JUMP OUT. THEY WAS SO OVERCROWDED THAT THEY RUSH YOU THRU IT . I only gave it two stars because of the VIP LINE

I m torn on what level to give this. The main attractions are well done and good for most audiences. Huge concern is two people in two separate rooms of the morgue or containment (I can t remember which) forcibly held me back away from my group. I was in the back of the line. Since we aren t allowed to touch them I have no recourse. Touching is one thing, but forcibly putting hands on each shoulder and pushing you backwards is not okay. The Mayflower attraction is not worth paying for. One more note: The containment is very smokey and completely blocks all visibility at times. There are workers standing around to move you in the correct direction because of the limited view. Multiple times we walked into dead ends and couldn't tell which way to go.
