You can't go wrong with seeing a show at the Penguin Rep. It's a quaint little theater outside the city.
Tonight's one man show about Robert Kennedy was moving, extremely well done and thought provoking.
This is a professional theater that stages new works by talented playwrights. It has been the launch pad for quite a few plays and very successful performers, and this season has already sent one play into production in NYC.
I enjoyed all four of this year's offerings which were quite varied and well staged. The actors were great or in some cases, phenomenal. Most of them were seasoned performers, many with Broadway experience. This is quality theater! And did I mention it's much less expensive than venues in the city? Plus more convenient for Rockland and other nearby residents.
The theater itself is quite small, so get on the theater's email list to be notified in the spring when next season's tickets go on sale -- they usually sell out quickly.
A great venue to see plays before they go to Broadway without the cost of broadway shows, and the commute!
The only professional theater in Rockland. They do a great job
Attended "Art" today and loved it; talented cast and an excellent script.
