This hospital couldn't diagnose a serious issue even if you told them all of your symptoms.
On the 4th of March 2021, I, 85 and female, fell in my kitchen, breaking my right hip. EMTs arrived right away, got me to Pen Bay Hospital without delay, where I was x-rayed, assessed and cared for by the most caring, knowledgeable professionals I could ever have hoped for, until March 12th when I was released into the excellent care of rehab at Quarry Hill in Camden, ME. , where I stayed until March 19th, then,home.
My room was cleaned every day by considerate, competent workers. I was fed tasty and most appetising food.

Our stay there was comfortable. Everyone was friendly, funny and made Frank feel so at ease. We always new what was going on never had to wonder what was next.
Awful experience as usual. 6 hours in the waiting room and we only got any form up updates when we demanded them. The Drs and staff really need to develop some empathy.
I never really had problems with Pen bay. Some people I have heard bad stories but for the most part, they are pretty friendly and helpful. This is just my experience though, I don't come here too often but when I do it is fine.
This Medical Center is probably the kindest and most efficient place I ve experienced. Due to the stomach flu I was taken to this location via ambulance because of dehydration. The nurses and their services were kind and immediate. The doctor (Dr. McCallister) practically greeted me at my room door to assess me. He really heard me out regarding my symptoms and promptly treated me. My nurse, Jesse, was wonderful and on-point with assisting to my needs and to the doctor s orders. They treated me and got me on my way. I am truly so grateful to the place and to their staff.
The staff were very helpful and made me feel comfortable and safe. They answered all my questions and found answers to the questions they were not sure of.As the saying goes. I was in good hay!
In February I had to be rushed to the emergency room I couldn't breathe well and had been having your average flu like symptoms for a couple days. I woke up the next morning passing out when trying to get up out of bed. When I got there the emergency room wasted no time getting to the bottom of things my heart rate and oxygen were decreasing rapidly and they needed to make a central line fast, they even were very kind in calming me down because I was so scared. They didn't think I would make it. The crash cart outside my room. They wanted to lifeflight me but the weather was too bad. I had influenza, an extremely bad pneumonia and septic shock. They were trying very hard to keep me going. I owe my life to everyone involved in my treatment at that hospital. I was extremely sick. I almost died. One wrong move could have been the end. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses for all you have done for me and all you continue to do ! The weight of the world is on you right now! God bless you! <3
