Very disappointed. My daughter had an ultra sound scheduled for 8 am at children's hospital. We got there and was told it was just changed to adult radiology. Went over there. Was told she's not on the schedule to wait a few minutes to find out what's going one. Waited almost 2 hrs. Nothing. We left. Will not go back. Now she's scheduled in lebanon.

My Grandson had surgery there Fri it was the BEST experience I have ever had everyone is on the same page and so kind Thx to all your staff I commend them all great job
My lovely nephew was stay in this hospital I live in france, i was traveling to usa because of my sister and help her to take care of her son . I was in hospital for 3 weeks 24 hours, i was found some lovely nurse like sara, barbe, julie and ... i found some lovely doctor and ... BUT we had a bad experience about the very big mistake from one of the nurse there.a night at 12.30 She switches wrong medicine for him and that night when i know about something wrong with him and i said to nurse a bout a problem, i didnt know why he is fussy but the nurse said he is mad ... his oxygen was down and the nurse didnt care him, i was crying for one hour and she didnt care and attention, i was sure about something wrong... she give him some medicine to be relax , he slept only for 40 minets after that he was so bad with a lot of crying and 4 o clock the nurse knew about something happening and tell to doctors to came ... finally one week he had a oxygen tube and a lot of water made his body in his lung and make a lot of problem for him ... Because of that mistake the next morning after this happening i know that was the third time mistake ... now we are in chap hospital in Philadelphia and we know about how is different between hospitals...
Son was given a non-pediatric surgeon and never told me. Only a handful of surgeons in the northeast could replace my son's femor and they said they had one. Went to the pediatrician orthopedic office for visits three times. The forth time the nurse slipped and said the doctor wasn't normally at the office on the Peds side since he wasn't one. Went to CHOP and got the best care and a surgeon who helped invent the surgery.
Also put a double port in my son's chest and told me verbally and in a follow up email that it was a single port. Thank God he didn't get an infection since one side didn't get flushed for months.
They really should have better oversight for their young residents. They misdiagnosed my 8 month old with an abscess in his throat and told us if we didn t address it immediately it could close his airway and die. We refused the CT scan and further advice and went down the street and just as we thought, it s just croup and they gave us a breathing treatment and voila he is fine!
Don t let students off a leash until they know what they are doing.
Varies. We had incredibly good care as far as most staff and docs, had some appallingly poor care by specific docs. Problem across the board is, Penn State Hershey is amazingly unresponsive to concerns- they simply ignore them. Ours was very serious and could not find a problem solver ( we tried, Patient Relations Dept. staff are terrific but may only go ' so far ' ). We will never take the risk again.
Absolutely Wonderful And Amazing Doctors And Nurses. They Took Great Care Of My 3 Month Old Son After He Had Surgery. They Were Very Sweet And Nice To Me As Well. This Children's Hospital Is Just Amazing Beyond Words. I Would Definitely Recommend. Thank You Again To All The Amazing Doctors, Nurses, And Staff. God Bless You All
It feels slightly uncomfortable to be leaving a "review" for a hospital, but all of our children were born here and...they all came out great? Hershey has taken care of all of the family's needs over many years and they are to be commended.
Thank you Hersey Hospital for supplying children with perfect care. We appreciated being able to stay in my son's room ,while my husband at the time was allowed to sleep in the lobby waiting room. Alot of families need your services. Thank you for being apart of our community. I owe you a blanket
The Nurses at Penn State were awesome, my son had the best nursing staff on his care. He was there for 2 weeks in September 2018, and no not for what main kids come in for. They cured my son in 2 weeks. My mind was in a race and the nurses were there to take care of my boy. I give this hospital a %. The best nurses on Peds in the third floor. Penn State is one of the best hospitals.
