Pearson Community Center Review

I go here every once in a while with my daughters. They call it a community center but everything is off limits unless your part of the after school program. Makes no sense to me. The staff caters to the after school kids.

This place is nice to have meetings and any gathering thst you are planning

It's a park with a nice track of you can get on it.

It have a lot too offer to the community, like classes safe key senior center and food assistant also a lot events trough the year for young kids and adults.

Safe place to walk padded track. Good lighting Community Center offers a gym to work out as well as other services Senior Center across the street and a preschool adjacent to the track... also a convenience store

Awesome.staff! Very very clean.. They have rooms for all type of.events ( parties, receptions, family reunions etc) available.

Beautiful venue to play basketball. The building interior is very clean and well kept. It has a playground, a track and field, plenty of parking, clean bathrooms.

Good place but if you are having a party it's to small of a room. So I request you go somewhere else for a party .

I love the work out area but they should have open gym in the summer not a lot for teenagers to do in vegas and most black teenagers in this area need a inside court to go to other than doo little it is a lot of community centers that don't have open gym depriving teenagers of inside court experience and is too hot during the day for teenagers to play out side and most of the reviews on here are talking about k-8 grade children so if you base this place on that than wonderful place right but any grade higher than that is just out of things to do because of the heat so if you read this and have a teenager please and i am begging for more recreational centers to start opening up the inside basketball court more often

My daughter has track practice two times a week here.

What a great community center! They have a wide range of activities for adults and children to participate in. They have a playground in a park in the same parking lot. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and helped us facilitate the professional learning we were providing.. they offered some support groups and mentorship programs as well as dance class and a fitness room. The prices were very affordable.

GOD HAD THE DRIVE SEAT IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY PARTY IN THE LORD. THANK YOU JESUS

I came here once for a small business outreach event. The facilities were well kept, but for large events expect to move from room to room.

You name it they have it for after school activities, especially for students on the Westside of Las Vegas.

I only go to the track it's really nice to be running in the fresh air with a nice view to boot

The Pearson is a local Recreation Center it's open to the public prior to COVID-19 they offered various after school activities/programs for our youth as well as a workout facility, track field and gym. They also have banquet/kitchen and meeting rooms for various events for a decent rental price. The track is nice for early morning walks, jogs, runs or whatever your preference.

The staff is friendly and the center is always clean.

I had my baby shower her on May 18, 2013. When we arrive it was hot in the room. My mother went to ask if they could turn the A/C on. The lady in the front name Mrs. Brooks told her the A/C was broke. My first reaction was why havent you call me to tell me the A/C was broke; no you wanted to wait until we got here to say something. My baby shower started at 3:00 p.m. and two hours in the A/C started to work but not in the room only in the hallway. I went back to Mrs. Brooks to ask about the A/C she said they are working on it. I told her I m going to need to talk to someone in charge because I paid to have an indoor event and yet i'm having an outdoor event. I had a total of 4 pregnant women s there including out photographer, who all where uncomfortable but stayed because they didn t want to be rude to me. At the end of the event I was told by Mrs. Brooks that I will not be getting a refund because we stayed the whole time. What else could I have done if I arrive on time to find out YOUR A/C was out. She gave me the number to Mr. Lou Collins who also had the nerves to say it couldn t have been to hot you stayed the whole time. I told him I had no choice it was a last minute thing thanks to your company not calling me to tell me. Then he goes on asking if any on passed out, or ended in the hospital. I told him no, but little did I know my sister when to the hospital the next day for dehydration. At the end of that worthless conversation he told me he could only refund me $50. I should be getting a call from Mrs. Brooks about it. WOW here it is June 12, 2013 and no phone call. My advice DO NOT RENT A ROOM HERE, NOT WORTH THE HEADACH.

Its well keep center it offers many programs to the community.

Great place for the kids they have lots of different programs for after school the Easter even was nice they had fat burger catered and the food was good

A great place in the urban community to bring your kids for after school activities. Ms. China is a great mentor & staff member. My organization is set up there this week to recruit youth & young adults for our performing arts program. The staff was very helpful & pleasant with my volunteers! I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a clean, safe & fun environment for their children to be after school, during school breaks & summer time. It's also equipped with a multipurpose room for community events as well as a gym for anyone looking to get fit.
I personally give Pearson Community Center a 5 Star rating!
