We booked a party of 8 to go for 3 days 2 nights. The cabin was everything a cabin should be but with entirely too many dead bees (not sure about house keeping?) The beds were extremely uncomfortable. date of manufacture and ours said 1996....must I point out the obvious of it being now 2017. They have notes about mountain water restrictions and to re-use towels instead of getting new ones (fine by me) but when you book a room for 6 adults with disabilities and the water pressure completely goes out after 2 showers and the toilet no longer flushes, you can almost guarantee there were some negative results. I have been there in the past when they offered line dancing, hay rides, and meals but we're told a week before our trip that new management took over and they don't offer this anymore and there are no horses. When you tell the population of people I take care of that a lot has changed and they don't offer what they use to, there's a lot of disappointment. We were told however we could access the pool for free entertainment - just our luck the boiler went out and needed to wait 2 days. Needless to say we still went into the cold pool and the hot tub was broken. Meals were only offered due to a larger party being there- we passed on the $25/person fee. Continental breakfast consisted of cold cereal, oatmeal, old oranges, undercooked boiled eggs, and watered down waffle mix. We rented for $5/piece fishing poles that didn't even cast out properly. Cornhole there were only 4 bags to play with - 1 had no beans in it anyway. I could go on but that's the gist. We made the best of our trip but we're dissatisfied. Seems like they are more focused on wedding parties (based on reviews, they aren't pleased either). We will not be returning with our group in the future.

Big disappointment. We were promised to be priority during our wedding. Place overbooked the ranch. Because of overbook, they ran out of water while our guests were staying at the venue and were trying to get ready for wedding. Our guests had to keep going to front desk for service.
They also had other party being set up during our wedding ceremony when we paid for the place for 2 hours. This is not right.
We asked to get 18% which is charged on rooms back, and owners refused. We won't be back.

Presently closed, sadly. A beautiful conference center in an amazing location with fabulous facilities. Unfortunately, an unexpected death brought the ownership to make tough decisions, leading to it s closing. We are hopeful a way can be found to resurrect this hidden gem.

This place is absolutely charming, there's plenty to do, the accommodations are perfect for the mountain setting. Also, I can not say enough nice things about the staff and the owner. Everyone here is so kind and helpful. I will be back again and will be recommending to family and friends.

Nice cabin, great stream right next to it. Nice seating indoors and outdoors for eating. Catch and release pond was stocked. The only bad part was the rock hard bed in 410 Buffalo Run. Maybe they have better beds in other rooms.

The grounds and location are beautiful. The stream running right through the property is very nice. They also have some small farm animals to go visit during your stay, which is enjoyable. We stayed in the main lodge. The room (137) was small, and furnishings a little outdated, but everything seemed clean and well kept. Other positives include a free continental breakfast and the main lodge also has free wifi. Now, I will say, the only negative thing about our stay was that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Even though at night it was cool outside (60's), our room never cooled off. The resort did provide a fan and we kept the window open to help.

Make sure you see the Terms and Conditions before you give any money to Peaceful Valley ranch. We cancelled our reservation 6 months in advance because the wedding we are going to changed locations because the blocked rooms were filled by a different group. We were told we would get only half our money back and that we "should" have been told that at the time of booking. I called to see why we were only getting half back and got a little heated. I was treated unprofessionally but I guess I should not have been surprised with the way everything esle was handled. We received an email shortly after my call with the Terms and Conditions that were never presented at the time of booking and is also not shown on the website. Please heed the negative reviews on trip advisor about the terrible service. We didn't even make it there and were treated poorly.

Went to a bridal show recently in Denver, and these guys somehow got my email probably through the ticket purchase. I purposefully did not talk to any venues as I already had one booked. They have been sending me unsolicited emails since the show and they listed a ton of other brides emails on the same message with zero privacy. This is NOT okay and automatically makes me want to avoid doing business with them in the future.

Located in the mountains, peaceful valley ranch is under new mgmt and undergoing renovations. The owners are wonderful and the location is as described... peaceful. They have rooms in the lodge and cabins on the grounds. Numerous activities and events. The pool is indoors and heated. Great little rustic getaway.

Peaceful Valley Ranch is located in one of the most beautiful mountain locations in Colorado.

Humanity's Team hosted a Global Council Meeting at the Peaceful Valley Ranch with 35-40 people staying. Our rooms were large and wonderful, the food was delicious, and the staff polite and caring. I had leaders from all over the world thanking me for the wonderful time! Jeanne Bohlke the event planner and Coordinator went above and beyond our expectations!

The staff polite and caring, from the chef and his staff to the House Keeping Staff, to the ranch hands.

Thank you Peaceful Valley Ranch... We will be back!

I had my wedding here 8/15/2015 and it was perfect. The views were amazing, the staff was friendly, and my guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything was. For anyone considering a wedding here, let me be the first to tell you that the venue has such a vintage rustic charm that hardly any decorating is needed. No matter what room or area you're in, your guests will be wowed. The price is outstanding for what you're getting since most mountain weddings seemed to be charging much more than this beautiful venue.

My husband and I were married at the chapel which housed all our 56 guests comfortably without having to even use the 2nd story landing. The decor was minimal since the chapel is lovely and the view can't be beat! The only downside to the Chapel was there was no air conditioning, or if there was, it wasn't on. We were all sweating like crazy though it didn't help that I wore a ball gown dress.

Cocktail hour was relaxing and we had plenty of time to mingle with our guests and fun photo opps. Don't be afraid to ask for tables to be moved, or set up to be different. I can't speak for their new wedding planner since I was told it was her first day on the job but my wedding planner worked hard with Jeanne (the wedding planner I had been working with the full year and a half of my engagement) and the decor/feel/look/and everything was above and beyond what I expected. I am still being told that my wedding was the most personal, genuine, and beautiful that my guests have ever been to.

Would not change a thing!

Reviewing the rooms would be different. The main lodge rooms had a fan for air conditioning and are roughly the size of a dorm room. It was still good nature run for the guests and maybe even gave a feeling of closeness to them. I stayed in one of the cabins and they were very clean, air conditioned, and relaxing. The only thing I would advise the lodge would be to change the blinds in the spa room. The moisture from the Jacuzzi rusted the blinds so they would not lower and one fell off completely at a light touch. If I were to stay as guest again, I wouldn't pick the main lodge rooms but the other ones or have a go at the cabin again. It was amazingly. All in all, everything was perfect.

Ranch is absolutely beautiful! I came from Expedia, only looking for a place to spend the night, and I found a place I want to spend the day. Buildings are all historical and handmade from local wood. The grounds are incredible - from a stocked trout lake to an incredible mountain chapel to the pool, fire pots, petting zoo... Not to mention a beautiful mountain river running right next to the lodge...

Rooms (at least in the lodge) are cozy and a bit dated, but will maintained. But with a campus like this, you won't want to spend time in your room anyway...

A couple of notes : the location is remote. Leave enough daylight to get here. If weather is poor, make sure your route is paved and you have chains (Google took me on a non - paved route, which would be rough in the rain or snow). Also, they don't serve lunch or dinner, so plan on either bringing it or going into town to eat.

Working here, I had figured it was a good environment, but the circumstances of needing to leave, no so much. This is definitely a place to work for if you enjoy being stabbed in the back or thrown under the bus for situations of their own design, or having companies look at you as if the previous company had little involvement with your departure in the first place. Wonderful setting, but that's where it ends.

This was absolutely the perfect setting for our son's wedding in December 2013. The Ranch staff were exceptionally helpful with all the details for both the ceremony and the reception that followed. With many guests coming in from out of state, it became a "destination wedding" with many spending the weekend at the Ranch. We had a great time getting to know our daughter-in-law's family by sharing wonderful meals, having a night for line dancing, hanging out in the hot tub, and sitting around the roaring fireplace. Most importantly, the wedding itself was magical in the chapel and the photos we'll look at forever are even better with the beautiful backdrops the Ranch provided.

Do NOT book a wedding or a rent a room at this place... We planned a wedding a year in advance and six months out of the wedding they booked the ENTIRE ranch for a church retreat so that none of our guests could book a room. We hadn't even sent out our invitations yet. The few guests who did make reservations for rooms that decided to cancel their reservations were treated very poorly and talked down to by their staff. When all was said and done all of our guests only got HALF of their deposits back and we only got half of our wedding deposit back. WORST experience ever.
