Update**
After posting my review, I was contacted by Lynda who said that she could change the delivery address for me but it would cost $18. UPS only charges $14.99 to change the delivery address. Who up charges a customer to change an address?? What kind of place is this???

Was told over the phone that they couldn t change the shipping address on a king cake order because the batch was closed . The shipping label had been created an hour before I called. 4 hours later, it STILL hasn t been picked up by UPS. Lousy customer service. Now I won t even get the king cake that was sent as a gift.

I ll keep my business in New Orleans, thanks.

Everyone who works here is wonderful. Every time. I have never had a bad customer experience with the staff. I am a huge fan of the butter crunches and king cakes. No, they don't taste like Randazzo king cakes. I prefer Paul's king cakes actually. They do beautiful cake work. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't like the TASTE of the cakes. I've had better tasting cakes from Walmart. My Mom is a professional Baker with Harrah's casino so maybe I am spoiled when it comes to good tasting cake.

The people working at Paul's are always very courteous and helpful. All of their pastries are excellent. The King Cakes are the best any where.

I can't speak for their other products, but the king cake is pretty bad. It walked a fine line between raw and under cooked. Basically eating raw dough. I am not professional baker, but I know how to cook a pastry until it is golden brown and cooked through.

Great spot! the best biscuits and gravy I have EVER had! The pastries we delectable too.

Ordered a King Cake online to share with my Texas co-workers. I paid for the NDA shipping, the cake arrived on time and was fresh! The communication from the bakery was awesome, and the selection is great. Get the strawberry cream cheese. You won't be sorry!!!

The almond cakes (or "wedding" cake flavored cakes) are unbeatable. Literally mind-numbingly delicious.

I really enjoyed my lunch. The portions could have been larger but the price was very reasonable. Also the pastries were beautiful and tasty.

My wife had their corn and crab bisque in a bread bowl years ago and remembered how good it was. So we decided to make a Saturday lunch run to Picayune. It was outstanding. I had the gumbo in a bread bowl and she had the corn an crab bisque again. Both were extremely delicious. I would highly recommend it. It is worth the drive.

Wow, the chocolate is very rich and delicious. Everything is so organised and clean. I should have taken a picture because the slection is just right without being overwhelming. It's already difficult to choose which thing to eat...first.

The staff is attentive and patient. Anyone not helping gifts this constantly cleaning. The display cases are well-lit and always stocked. Staff selections of many different types and nearly everything we have tried we have loved.

My grandfather always use to tell my mother to visit this place, and it took her a while. Now, my mother is telling me to go and I finally went. WOW, was I happy I went. The crew was friendly and the king cake was, FREAKING AWESOME! They had multiple kinds, cherry blueberry strawberry and more. They also mix half half ect! Love the place!

Great place to get pastries, cakes, and king cakes . They have unique lunches like shrimp in sauce, crab cakes, on and on. Go online and see the time for meals and shop for the best.

One of the best pastry places in the area... small and cosy shop with great sweets and snacks... such a huge variety of sweets, pies and cakes... everything was amazing there... They can be a little pricey but it's good.. staff are super friendly and they took care of us... I recommend it 100%. Update a dozen donuts will cost you about $12.00 or you can opt for the day old one for $6.00.

Food is delicious but the co-owner , and her husband have recently gone against at least 4,000 residents of this community as that is the number that signed a petition. I am glad their money making idea was shut down. I can now return to eating at Mi Sol Azteca.

High prices. King cake was not fresh and had way too much sugar on top. Disappointing.

I come from baton rouge to buy good treats from here. Never dissatisfied.

If you want a non-decorated king cake (which you decorate yourself)
and not pay $70 for it, it's best to load up and make a mini road trip. Shipping is high but for convenience it's totally worth it. So despite all of that this was definitely the best king cake I have ever had and I will be back to purchase another.

Such a quaint place! So many tasty treats to buy and the cafe is delicious. I made sure to get their half sandwich that came with a soup and sweet treat! The tomato basil soup is extremely good. Look forward to many more visits here.

Paul's Pastry Shop in Picayune made the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake for my husband and I! The cookies were also perfect! Not a crumb of either the cake or the cookies were left over, and we cannot wait to order our anniversary cake with them. Kimberly, the cake lady, was so helpful and awesome to deal with. We enjoyed everything from the initial tasting/creating appointment to the delivery on the big day. Thanks for everything and keep up that great customer service!

It's not a long trip from Slidell, but we have passed up several Bakeries to go to Paul's. We absolutely love the cakes. They always do a Beautiful job on our cakes! You won't be disappointed at all!

Wednesdays are bacon wrapped filet day, it s a great deal and you should go. Filets are cooked on point and yet somehow delivered quickly, veggies are a good side but the potatoes are even better. While you re there check out their various pastries as well, everything is delicious, even the worlds second best pickles.

Love this place. The first king cakes I ever tried were from here; every other king cake is fighting for second place... And their bakery items are good too...

Never buy a round cake and have to drive 40 minutes. It slides and cracks. Didn't like the flavor either.

I've only ever heard good things so I decided to take the drive (almost an hour) and try it for myself. Definitely worth the drive. Will be back for sure. Yummmmm and beautiful too! And everyone was so sweet.

Their pastries are always fresh. They are high on their prices but are worth the money. They take special orders and are able to make cakes from a picture. That is amazing! Love the place!

We got our wedding cake from pauls pastry in the form of 200 little petit fours. It was absolutely beautiful. The time and effort they put into making it perfect was clearly evident. We are incredibly happy with everything! And they were delicious too! Thank you so much!

In Picaynue, MS . Great pastry especially the filled King Cakes and lemon bars.

I'm so disappointed with this bakery for several reasons. First, the pastries just aren't that good. If anything, they're just mediocre in texture and flavor. Secondly, the staff needs good customer service training. They're all just rude, and seem to care less about the customers. If have done better to have gone to Walmart bakery.
